Can you share the room number? We booked a woods view bunk room and would love to be able to see MK/fireworks. I know its not a guarantee but if i put in the room request we might get lucky.

kbseymore99, sorry, that was in '05, and with my CRS, I am lucky if I remember what resort I stayed in !! All I know is that we always ask for the top floor, away from elevators and ice machine/vending machines. Good luck. And I don't think it was the top floor.

Does anyone reacall when they came out with room discounts (40% deluxe, 30% mod, etc. or whatever it was) for last year.? Was it some time during the spring? We took the FD last year in a mod (we went late Aug to early Sept), but if they end up offering the same thing for 2011, we would like to try to do a deluxe with 40% off.

Were the general public discounts as high as 40% off deluxe? I need an AP discount, but we're going with friends that don't have APs and I don't think I can book more than one room anymore. I think the discounts were as high as 40%, but I'm worried that the beginning of August won't be 40% and might be more like only 30%. I'm also disappointed that the beginning of August probably won't be included in any bounceback offers that might be going while I'm there in December.

We booked around March at AKV Kidani with tht Room only rate (It was the only way we could afford it! We ended up with an upgrade to Jambo House 2 bedroom suite, they said they OVERBOOKED!!!! Our dates were 8/4-8/7

Yep, I booked from the special offers page on the DW website. It was also my birthday, don't know if that had anything to do with the upgrade...They had a basket with chocolate animals and a carved wooden giraffe-PRICELESS. I am hoping for a room discount as well even though we booked already.

Just looked it up on Mousesavers. The room only discount for stays up until 8/14 (which covered your stay in early Aug) became available on Feb 15. The room only discount for stays starting 8/15 became available on May 3. We checked in on 8/27 - staying at a mod (CBR) with FD.


Looking at going the same week next year. If they offer the same room only disocunt as this year, we will probably go for a deluxe with that offer. If not, we'll probably go back to mod with FD.

Okay, so I know you can't count on a discount, but I'll run the numbers for our friends figuring 40% at deluxes and 30% at mods. I assume values were only 20%??

Hey everyone!

We're just back from the World. LOVED loved LOVED the YC. It was fanastic. Wow. It blew the GF away for me. Loved it. I'm "eh" on the BCV. It must have been because it was SO cold.

Anyway, the friends we went with last week are now looking for BWV for August but can't seem to pull up a 2BD anywhere on the website. Doesn't that seem strange?

The only bounceback offer we saw was for free dining. Not interested!

I'm just waiting for the 7 month mark when we can switch our DVC from BC to OKW. I Love OKW! Then I need some AP rates to finish up the trip!!!

We were there last August for my sons birthday, booked bounce back then for free dining. This August 12 thur 19 at Bonnett Creek and 19 to the 23 at Beach Club resort. Really loved beach club last time.
