Question about wine corkage fee

Hey all. I understand there is a $29 corkage fee for wine in the dining room. On our last cruise I remember our server saying something like if you buy a bottle of wine they can keep it for you from dinner to dinner. Does this apply if you bring your own wine? meaning if we were to pay to open a bottle on night one- would they be able to hold the bottle and pour another glass on night 2? I know a bottle won't last very long, but my wife and I typically only have one glass of wine each at dinner.

As far as I know, yes.

If you are likely to only have one glass of wine at dinner, then open the bottle in your room, pour the glass and bring it with you to dinner. We bring our own wine opener in our checked luggage.

We go to any bar and ask for 2wine glasses with no problems.
That works too. We like to have a full ice bucket and clean wine glasses in the room in the evening, so we ask our stateroom host the first night when they introduce themself. I add a cash gratuity at that time, and extra beyond our prepaid gratuity at the end of the cruise in recognition of the extra attention.

This sounds like a much better idea and the money you would have spent on the corkage fee that would go to DCL will now go towards a tip to the crew instead.
