All Star Music FAQ thread and tips

I was wondering if anyone who has stayed here recently can comment if they had a privacy curtain in their room to pull infront of the sink/bathroom area? Thanks.

Well, we wanted free dining and Pop was full,so, we are trying ASMu for the first time! We have been twice before to WDW< stayed only at Pop, hoping we will be happy at ASMu. Are there any huge differences between the two resorts?

You will find that ASMu is smaller than POP for starters. It is quieter and very, almost, cozy feeling. The landscape is more mature which for me gives a really nice feel. You have full acess to the other 2 All Star resorts. They play music and games at the pool every afternoon starting at around 1pm and show a movie outside every night. We thought that ASMu was more of a resort atmosphere. Also, we had some of our best CM encounters at ASMu.

That happened to us about 3 years ago...WANTED POP, but not available, so ended up at ASMu, and haven't looked back!...Converted that visit!:goodvibes

Lots of people love Pop, but ASMu is much less spread out, and I think you can be just as happy, if not more.

We were not in a family suite, we were in Country Fair and no curtain.

Last August we stayed at ASMu in Calypso, Building 1 and we had the privacy curtain between sink and bed area. I liked it because I could get up early to get ready, close the curtain and the light didn't bother DH.

We found this varied widely.

In the early mornings it was usually served by its own buses, but, during the middle of the day (and often at park close) it shared buses.

Ditto that! We were there 6/22-29 and found that to be 100% true

called today and Pop was available so we went back there...now am wondering if we wouldnt have loved ASMu also...

Our room in Jazz didn't have a curtain but my DSis's room next door had one. :confused3

That is peculiar. I wonder why all the rooms don't have them? I realize these are disney values but they aren't exactly cheap rooms to not have simple items like a curtain or coffee pot. oh well...

I just booked ASMusic today for Sept 23-30th! We love POP, liked Movies okay, but are really excited to try out Music! This trip is all about our youngest daughter who plays the trumpet like nobody's business! Her passion is music, I think she is going to get a kick out of the theming.

That is great!! I'm sure she will love it. We love pop but if we were going to have to do all star I would give music a try. It looks fun. We felt the same about the movies.

Hey! We are going to be there Sept 21 - 28 at ASMusic!:thumbsup2

Our first time was last year at Pop, but we wanted to try something different. We were all jazzed about ASMovies, but heard it was looking pretty tired, so we switched to Music!

thinking about staying in the suites just before Christmas. Could be fun. Would be our second time for Pre-Christmas celebration. Trying not to get too excited, as we are just in early booking stage. The main reason we'd be going is to take our nieces who have never been to WDW. We think it would be a nice Christmas present for them and still have them home in time for the holidays.
