I just remember something I was going to share with you guys. John does not need this now since he is at VB but the rest of you might be interested.

I use the Car Jar Yankee Candle things for my car. My previous one was old and I needed a new one. This weekend at the mall I stopped by the YC store and picked out one called Sand & Sun. It smells soooo good. It smells like salty ocean air, sand and sunscreen all mixed together. Everytime I smell it I think of Castaway Cay and the cruise. :)

Well guys, the true Geek in me won out tonight . . . .

I am paying for internet service in the room at Beach club Villas, and since I brought along my Airport Express, I can connect wirelessly just like at home after I hooked up my own little mini-network here.

I know . . . Hopeless.

We made the trip here from Vero (took two hours Elaine - even with a stop for gas and a stop for lunch - drive through). Got here about 1:00, and the room wasn't ready so Sophia and I went for a swim in Storm-a-Long-Bay. She likes that waterslide too - but the water is over her head at the bottom!

No fear though, she wants to do it without the vest, and swim to me at the rope! After checking in and unpacking, we went to Animal Kingdom for a couple of hours, and then to Boma for a Great dinner.

Watched the Epcot fireworks from our balcony, and now just chilling before a full day at Epcot and Animal Kingdom tomorrow. Can't wait to see Vanessa and Family on Saturday!

The Tar Heel women just beat Purdue and are in the Final Four... in Cleveland!!
John, say hi to them when you get back to Ohio!
Go HEELS!

HELLO!!!!

Good morning!

Yes, this is Spring Break week, and I am happy for it! End of nine weeks instead of traditional holiday week. Not as crowded.

Yeah, we are keeping Amy locked in the room doing our laundry and cooking. She is not much for water slides, etc.

Epcot in about 45 minutes!

Angie - when next you read ....

Did you see any trailers that had the mini-desk in the bedroom? I really like that idea - there are several trailers with re-confugured living areas that have some places where a small computer area might work. But the bedrooms all seem to have the same small configuration.

thanks.

elaine

Elaine, our MH does have a small desk in the bedroom. I'm DISing at the desk right now! We also have an easy chair with ottoman that Dennis can use to read, play his guitar, whatever. WE have two slideouts in the bedroom (one on each side) so it gives us alot of room. Very nice. We are enjoying! We have the 3 17yo boys with us and Dennis is just :scared: they are going to break something. But they are very, very good boys, very polite do whatever he tells them. I keep telling him not to stress, but....he does love his new toy and would be sad if something weren't right.

John1, so glad to hear you are having fun. Vero Beach DIS Geek meet sounds great to me. Pick the year!

We had a great visit at the University yesterday. DGS has decided that is definately where he wants to go, at least one of his friends is also considering it. After the group visit and tour we met individually with an admissions counselor about getting him set up as a resident. The cost is about 10,000 per year less and over 6 years that is a huge difference. She was very helpful, was not sure about some technicality so she asked her supervisor to join us. She also was not certain, so she called the folks up in Helena to get the accurate information for us. They were just incredibly helpful and gave us into on what path we need to take to make it happen.

We also took the kids on a walking tour of downtown Missoula on Monday. Dennis showed them all the places from his childhood/teen years. We all had a really good time. The kids (and Samantha's mom who is also with us, but staying in a hotel nearby) went bowling last night at the alley Dennis and I bowled at way back when we were young marrieds.

We are having a good time visiting with friends also. Dennis has gotten to play guitar with his buddies a couple of times. Today we will visit with a couple of his aunts. One of them has pancreatic cancer (not good!), but she is getting some new kind of chemo and is doing well so far. We do not want to miss a visit with her this trip though.

Time to go make pancakes and eggs for the boys. They want to stay here and watch a movie rather than sit at a restaurant and listen to us visit with the auntie. :happytv:

Sounds like a wonderful trip, Angie! Lots more fun than my college visits were. :)

OK guys, my tummy is going nuts right now. Why is is that a call from a teacher makes me nervous even if it is about something that isn't bad? DS's teacher just called requesting a conference tomorrow morning with the AG teacher & the Vice Principal. She is concerned about him because he seems so unhappy and he wont tell her what is wrong. She had him do a plus/delta about school yesterday. (That is a list of plusses & minuses.) He took a star test for reading and scored a 5.4. That means that he is reading at the level of a 5th grader the 4th month of school. I know that he is frustrated with the same thing. I have emailed DH to let him know and hopefully he will be able to be there tomorrow too. I don't know what they will be able to offer DS but I sure hope that we can come up with something that will work & make him happy about school again.

Actually there's plenty of us with DVC points now ....

It'd be great if we could all chip in for a couple cottages....

 Hello everybody!

After we got here, about 5:00, Sophia and I were going in the gate to the pool, and the couple ahead of us looked at us and said "Aren't you on the WB Repo cruise??" :rotfl2:

Now what kind of coincindence is that?

Got to meet Tiggerhappy and her husband who are down here to catch some baseball Spring training. I am terrible, and would have never recognized someone from pictures! They are on our WB thread.

John - that is so cool and amazing - LOL. WOW!!!

I hope you have a wonderful time - can you give us the lowdown on kids activities at Vero when you get back - it looks worth checking out.

where did you fly into?

I don't know if John answered this but there is a small Airport "Vero Beach Airport" for people who fly themselves down, we, however flew into Orlando.

Southwest was great when the kids were under 4 and you could pre-board. But the snaking lines so that you can't tell what is A or B and the fact that you end up in C if you don't print your boarding pass immediately is a real bummer.

One time on the return I had to put Jaea next to some strange lady because no one would move - ok it was really my fault for shopping too long at L'Occitane and then taking the wrong monorail to the wrong gate area. But anyway, that was upsetting - of course Jaea talked their ear off - I had to keep Giona with me because there is no telling what he might do alone in a different row. YIKES.

SW is the only airline that has direct flights to Orlando from Albany and yes quite a bit cheaper than Jet Blue or Air Tran. But I am getting tired of it also.

While we were in line today at Soar'n I told John I felt like I was waiting for a Southwest Airflight, only difference we had fastpasses!

HELLO!!!!

Hi Everyone! Every now and then John lets me out!!!

Boy reading his posts you would think that I was back in Ohio! Just wanted to let you guys know that I too, went to Vero Beach and am now staying at Beach Club Villas!! Just Kidding!

Actually he came in from swimming the other day and I was watching the Basketball game UNC and Georgetown and he said what is wrong with this picture? I said "nothing"!!

While we were at AK, I wanted to see the new DVC. Well, you can only see the AKL model units at SSR - they are busy remodeling. I did ask about it though. You can see a green fence where construction has begun - until then, they are renovating the 5th and 6th floor of the lodge into DVC units. I am really wondering why they are changing over a part of the existing hotel. Not enough traffic?:confused3

I don't know if we will get over to see the model or not. After looking at the pool, we decided we can wait for now. While we love Boma, the pool is OK, but no Stormalong Bay - and the slide is a bit lame now according to Sophia!:rotfl2:

We opened Epcot today, went to Soarin' wiated 20 minutes after getting FP's, then rode again with FP's, (after Amy and Sophia rode the boat ride through the greenhouse) got another FP for Soarin', then went to lunch at Norway with the Princesses (which was very busy), went back to ride Spaceship Earth, got yucky coke from around the World, then back to Soarin' again before heading home to swim, and go down the water slide, oh, about 15 more times.

Sophia and I just got shakes at Beaches and Cream, and we are showered up, and ready to hit extra Magic hours at AK tonight. We never liked the morning extra Magic Hours (who wants to get up early on vacation?), but really like the night-time ones!

Catch you all later!

Well . . .

Today . . . .

Sophia . . . .

Rode Expedition Everest! Twice! During the EMH at AK.

I probably have the only kid that was not afraid of the roller coaster part of the ride, but afraid of the Yeti. She didn't want to ride it a second time until I bribed her a bit - and on the second time she was OK. Too bad I can't post the pic of us riding, but alas, I left the scanner at home!:rotfl2:

Here she is with the Dis Dino at AK

And in this picture if you look waaaaaaay in the back, you will see a green fence where they are constructing the AKL Villas.

After AK, we went to DTD, hit World of Disney, and needless to say, now we are all pooped and ready for bed! BTW - Kristina, I have your plain black Mickey Antenna topper in the bag. Just PM me your address after we get home.
