Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2026 (Feb 26-Mar 2, 2026)

Calling all running royalty, 100 days until the Expo!

Where is everyone staying at? We're booked at Riverside, simply because we've never stayed there and wanted to experience the resort at least once. Not sure it's the best resort for a runDisney race since it's so spread out and I like being close to the buses, but excited to see for myself!
Dolphin. My plan is no parks, but there’s still lots to do in the Boardwalk area.

I stayed at Riverside for Princess this year and loved it. I requested a room in Magnolia Bend in the building right by the bridge and got it. It was a quick 5 minutes from door to bus at the Main Lobby. I had no bus trouble for any of the races either. It left right from there and is a super quick drive to Epcot.

I’m at Pop for Princess this time. Same thing, we’ve never stayed there and I wanted to try it out. And I hear they are great for Race Weekends.

Well that's disappointing for Springtime (not to mention a lot of Spring Break guests). Not entirely surprised but they did say it would close in *Spring* 2026 and March 2 is very notably not in Spring! I know it's sort of an open secret that they consider Memorial Day weekend as the start of summer so I guess they also consider the start of Spring... sometime earlier?

Maybe Disney follows the meteorological calendar, rather than astronomical? Wikipedia says meteorological spring is March 1-May 31

They also opened Guardians on Memorial Day Weekend and called that summer so I’m going to guess a bit different (but close to yours): they see March 1 or somewhere around that as the start of the Spring Break rush. Fall begins after Labor Day, Winter…. ???

There is no winter in Florida.
Floridian here, begging to differ. We have winter…it’s just not a season - more like a day here, a day there, sandwiched between a few days of what the rest of the world calls “Spring” and “Fall.” :rotfl: Source: my wardrobe of tees, jeans, shorts, down jackets, gloves, sandals, warm boots, and sundresses, all of which have been worn over the last several weeks.

But for real, as far as marketing purposes, “Spring” here is the time in which tourism hits its peak of the year: roughly mid-Feb through Easter.

BTW i was mainly thinking of winter in terms of what they consider the holiday season, and it’s probably starting with Jersey Week, right? At least in terms of decor, and how crowds ramp up, etc. But then i started thinking about how they started doing Halloween/Fall stuff in AUGUST, ugh.

Yeah, it’s all kind of blending together these days. But the cutoff for WDW is really Halloween: that night, the fall decor comes down and Christmas goes up - that’s essentially the start of “winter.” And then “Spring” starts roughly around President’s Day, so figure Nov. 1 - mid-Feb. = Winter.

But crowd levels are another thing entirely: mid-Oct. through Thanksgiving is pretty high, but then it drops considerably for the first couple/few weeks of Dec. Peak holiday season is generally Christmas Week through Jan. 1, and maybe a few days beyond, depending on how the calendar falls. Crowds drop again in Jan. and start ramping up as we approach Feb. and the start of spring break season.
