Pscho was probably the scariest, with Deliverance and the Exorcist taking a strong 2nd! :scared1:

Arlington Road. Not a horror movie, but it absolutely terrified me. I couldn't sleep at all that night.

ETA I don't normally watch horror movies, and I've never seen Psycho or The Exorcist.

I'd have to say Sleepaway Camp. Although I laugh when I see it now, it's the music that's freaky.

'Final Destination' The first one.All of my worst nightmares were in that movie.I only watched the first half-hour and had to turn it off because I was shaking so bad.I slept with the light on all night.I was just horrified....

Don't really care for horror films, but evil kids in films give me the s***s. Damien Thorn from The Omen & Isaac from Children Of The Corn being classic examples. Oh, and that clown doll in Poltergeist.

The Exorcist! The only movie that has ever truly freaked me out!

I scare easily and don't normally watch scary movies. AVOID at all costs. I did see The Omen a long time ago and to this day I still have nightmares about that one. I remember in the theater I totally embarrassed all my friends because I was so loud and practically ended up sitting in their laps. :lmao:

I don't watch scary movies but when I was a kid I did catch a few.

Pet Cemetary really freaked me out in high school.

When I was a kid Poltergeist was horrifying.

Those two are enough to last me a lifetime.

This movie freaked me out! It would probably be funny now though...?

I think the name of the movie is, "Vanished" with Kieffer Sullivan & Sandra Bullock. That was one of the scariest for me.

Just remembered that kid in Flatliners who spits on Keifer Sutherland. Oh, and the two girls in The Shining.

The original (black & white) Invasion of the Body Snatchers starring Kevin McCarthy.

the Exorcist! 5 minutes of it gave me nightmares for 6 months... I will NOT watch it even though hubby has begged me to watch it with him.. and we own it too, much to my dismay(its his..I wont have a thing to do with it)Other than that..most horror movies don't bother me.

Me, too. DD had to watch it at a friend's house because I won't allow it in my home. I watched it at age 13 and no other movie has scared me since. I hate even seeing a clip of it (which just happened today.)

I saw Phantasm as a kid and it scared the crap out of me. I wonder if I saw it now, would it have the same effect? Probably. Deliverence also was terrifying for me. My aunt lived down in the bayou of Louisiana at the time and my older cousins told me that's what the people were like. At the time, though, I believed them. I think I was exposed to all my scary movie experiences by mean older cousins. :)

Gigli! It really frightened me to think that they spent good money to make that! :teeth:

Really, the creepiest movie for me was Don't Look Now (the 1973 version with Julie Cristie and Donald Sutherland). Thought it was very good, but very disturbing, and haven't been able to watch it since! Roman Polanski's Repulsion is a close second, but that one I can watch from time to time without getting too weirded out...

THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT :scared1: was by FAR the scariest movie I ever saw...as a matter of fact it freaked me out so bad I never saw another scary movie EVER after that one. AND the year was 1972 and I was a Senior in High School. I think I screamed from the beginning to the end of that movie and did NOT sleep for weeks!!! It was by Wes Craven, who writes and directs allot of scary movies.
