I got my first one last year in Hawaii (on vacation... not something I recommend, but it worked out very well for me!).
I had wanted one for about 10 years. I knew exactly what I wanted and Hart and Huntington had just opened a shop in Honolulu.... I walked in and Max drew out my tat and I did it It is just what I wanted. I LOVE it. I will have to get a pic and put it up for you.
(BTW, I am 47.....)

I would get more, but I don't know what I want next

Okay - here is that door hangy thing I bought last week.

I think it would make a really great tattoo - minus the 'word'....especially minus the word if it were a lower back one!

I wouldn't get a tattoo myself but those are really cool. My brother has a professional job and has several. He has one arm done and is working on the other. I guess it's addictive. Every time he shows up at a family occasion, my mother yells at him.

My BF and I did that a few years ago- we got this celtic heart design with the words "anam cara" (means soul friend in gaelic) on our hips- mine left, hers right. Cause that's where we're joined.

i got mine on my hip area too, didn't hurt a bit really. just felt like scratching. i have to go get mine recolored too, since it scabbed and i was washing my body in the shower one day and happened to go over the tattoo with my bath poof and the scab came off with the color. boo.

i'd like to get another one some day. i actually almost got the one i have now on my wrist, but i decided against a visible one for my first tattoo. i'd still like to get something on my inner wrist sometime.

I love it!! I've said it before on other threads and I'll say it again. Usually the girls that think tattoos on other women are nasty have husbands that think they are hot. I know I never get looks of disgust from mine

My ex-husband is an assistant manager of a bank. He has full sleeves done, plus numerous tattoos on his chest and back...not to mention pierced ears (and he used to have pierced nipples when we were married, but I think he took them out). Not my taste AT ALL, but to each his own.

I think the ones posted look very nice.
