I heard you can't swim after you have one. I swim 3-5 days a week, so that's a big issue for me. How long would I have to stay out of the pool?

Most artists recommend avoiding soaking in water for a few days after tattooing. It can have adverse effects on the healing and the final look of the tattoo. Personally, I'd rather skip my daily swim for a few days than run the chance of having to get my tattoo redone. But of course, YMMV.

the shop i went to had a minimum of 80$ (half hour rate after that). mine took a half hour. i tipped the guy 20$. i felt it was necessary for doing such a fantastic job and not botching anything up, i mean, i have to live with this thing! haha.

he basically said until it heals over and the scab comes off to stay out of the water. it took me 1.5-2 weeks for that to happen.

Thanks, it's very plain but I love it. I didn't get it till i was 45 years old and don't care what it will look like when i'm 80. It makes me happy!

And to the people who say negative things about them: time to stop judging others so harshly. I bet you know people who have tats, you've just never seen them. And I bet there are plenty of CEOs who have them too.

Soaking isnt good, but it also depends on the sanitizer used in the pool. (WAY OT but i always assumed you were a guy! I have no idea...I guess I should not assume becasue most think I am too!)

Anyway here is one that I can show on the DIS it is on the back of my neck, and I cant say how much it would be My brother is a tatoo artist (I guess I could ask him)

Oh and you will see me at corprate events and such with my tats and *gasp* piercings!!

I've got only one tattoo at the moment and it's not Disney related but i still love it.

I got mine done with my two university flatmates. We all had something done on our feet. I had stars, Sam had a tribal sun and Michelle had a spider..... She loves it so thats fine!

It's not perfect, (The stars aren't symetrical and the star at the end is only half a star - it's disappears in the star dust ) but that makes it better as no-one is going to get exactly the same tattoo as me. I love it so much! However i do need to get it touched up a bit, there is meant to be lightining inside the stars.

It did sting when i had it done, but it wasn't that bad. I do remember feel uncomfortable, but it only took 20mins and after a while the stinging pain disappeared and i just felt the vibrations of the needle instead.

I just want to lose 30 more pounds!!!! I don't think eating Chinese food at 9.30 at night is going to help me though..... I'll start that diet again next week, I swear!!!

It's actually cover art to a compliation cd (jazzy tunes). It represents heart, body and soul. If you look closely she has a heart in the middle and her form kinda represents body but the flow of it represents her soul. It's a reminder to me that I need to take care of all 3 of those things

The one above it my brother and I share and it means Bonded by Blood forever in gaelic.

I have always wanted a phoenix too!!! For the same reasons...but I ended up with the Mickey for my first...and well never got around to it.
