Anyone else feel like the Frozen ride has gotten rougher?

It certainly could be us getting older, but the last time we rode it, both my wife and I left with back issues. I don’t remember it being that jerky before. Anyone else feel like it has gotten rougher?

It wasn’t the drops that were rough. Maybe where there was some mechanical assistance moving the boat?

I’ve taken a bruise or two from that one but I felt it was more due to the weight distribution within the boat making it hit the sides/whatever harder when the boat was being aligned or pushed along in the water.

Not sure if they did anything to the track between Maelstrom and FEA so its the same attraction its always been just a different theme.

I think it has to do with how many people and the distribution of those people in the boat that makes it potentially a bumpier and wetter ride.

Last time we visited, I felt it was rough and thought maybe not a good idea to ride again. I have osteoporosis and really have to be careful.

We had an issue with them trying to out 4 adults in the back row, insisting we would fit fine. We assured them, we would not. So, we tried anyway. One of us could not fit, so she just skipped it. The only rows of 4 we observed were 2 parents with 2 kids, or at most 3 adults and one child.

Yes...we're here now and have noticed them really trying to cram ppl. into rides. I get it, you want to move ppl., but after paying to get in and ride, standing in the line; the last thing I want to do is be really uncomfortable for the actual ride. They tried to cram 5 decent size adults in 1 row of the safari today - we had 9 ppl. total - I asked to have 3 rows and she said ahe could but we'd be sharing with someone. I said okay because there was no way 5 of us would fit in a row. She insisted we do 4, 4 and 2 and then crammed 2 more adults in our row. It was ver uncomfortable for the people basically sitting on each others laps. The other ppl. also mentioned how often they've been asked to swap sweat with strangers this trip. Disney has got to find a happy medium.

Always been even with Maelstrom. I know I'm feeling some rides a bit more and perhaps if there are any water level / jets changes (or varying weight in boat) it might make it worse.

I don’t have any physical problems but I make it a point to pay attention/brace/sit up for the part where you stop going backwards which sometimes has a “jolt” to it as you hit the wall/track that I don’t care for. Some rides feel a little stronger than others.

Write them and tell them you feel that way. I am not kidding.

We had a similar situation that occurred years ago that was big enough to go to Guest Relations. They took care of us, but also asked us to write into Guest Communications and be as specific as possible. They indicated it may simply be a training issue.

Thanks. When we get back I'll have to remember to do that. It's just. kinda ridiculous. No one should. have to skip the ride because the CM instructs too many ppl to fit in one row. At Frozen today they asked for of us (one's overweight, not huge, but larger and the other 3 are regular size adults) into 1 row. at Frozen. As soon as the gates open I could tell it was going to be super uncomfortable if we fit - fortunately they put no one in the row behind us so I just sat there instead. I do think they've been asked to try to put more. ppl. together which I can appreciate but it seems some have gone. way overboard.

I have noticed the changes on recent trips too. Honestly, I always thought that they should load more people - that is, me often being a solo rider I would get an entire row to myself on POTC, which was totally unnecessary. I certianly couldn't mind if they were to sit another couple of people with me. That said, they can take it too far too - people shouldn't be crammed in to the point where they're touching. I wouldn't like it if they tried to cram another four or five in with me, even if I knew them. It sounds like they need to pull back on that.

What weight distribution would result in less bumpy/jostling?
I have noticed it being bumpier but not sure if that’s why

Copy and paste from simple Google search:

Uneven weight distribution can lead to unpredictable movements, increased splashing, or even getting stuck, while proper distribution can enhance speed, stability, and overall enjoyment

Weight distribution can affect the stability of the raft on a ride. Uneven weight can cause the raft to list to one side or become unstable, particularly on rougher sections

When weight is evenly distributed, the raft/boat/flume is more likely to travel smoothly and predictably, providing a more enjoyable experience for all riders

Weight distribution affects the center of gravity, and this plays a crucial role in stability and control

-_- but what’s considered uneven for the boat. Like heavier on front or back. Idk how much the thing weights

We have this issue almost every time we ride. We try to tell them we won't fit and they don't care. Last trip my parents couldn't fit with us in the row and had to take the next boat.
