What are Your Thoughts on Nemo Show at AK.

If you have very young kids, they will like it. Other than that I can give you a one word review of my opinion of this show.

BORING!!!!

No way would I see this one again. I believe this replaced Tarzan Rocks and that was so much better then this snorefest.

The Festival of the Lion King is Outstanding. Don't miss that one.

We saw it for first time last week. In our party were 4 adults, 1 4 & 6 yrs old, a 2yr old. My thoughts:too long(maybe because I really needed to run to the restroom), and somewhat boring. 4 & 6 yr old just ok, didn't wow them and the 2 yr old fell asleep. We liked FOTLK way better.

Looks like the OP has been to disney a few times..this in my book means it is time to try things you haven't done yet at Disney. Nemo may not be the thing you do over and over, but it is worth doing at least once.
Lion King should also not be missed esp by folks who have been to disney a few times

you will never be able to judge by other people's opinions things like this, as some will say it is great and others not. The stitch attraction is a great attraction, you have people from the "hate it" al; the way to the "love it" in fact most rides/attractions and even resorts will be like that

We didn't like it. Toooooo long and don't like the fact that you can see the puppeteers - kind of reminded me of a ventriliquist that you can see their mouth moving!!!:rotfl:

we liked it. If you like the movie, you'll love this show. yeah, it's long, but it didn't seem like it to me. My 2 year old loved it and we plan on doing it again this year. We bought the CD last year and that's all she likes to listen to...and sing along with. I like Lion King better, but this is still good.

It's absolutely fantastic. My whole family loved it. I think it might be even better then the Lion King show.

I'm a BIG fan of the movie, but I still hated the stage show.

And yes, I am aware that this was a musical...but man, I wasn't bored when I saw Phantom of the Opera. And that's a musical.

BTW, those benches really hurt after awhile.

It is one of the best things at all of WDW in my opinion:thumbsup2 Its great for all ages!

Nemo was good. Lion King is better.
My Dad was with us and he has never seen Nemo or Lion King.
He could enjoy Lion King without having seem the movie. Whereas, Nemo makes absolutely no sense if you are not familiar with the movie.

It's really long.... and boring! I guess I'm just spoiled by the Lion King show. I love it!!!!

Hubby and I thought the show was ok, glad to see it once, wouldn't go out of our way to see it again (unless it was REALLY hot outside). DD (5) loved it and mentioned it numerous times over the next couple of days. I have a feeling we'll probably be seeing it every visit until the thrill of Nemo wears off for her.

I have seen it twice, and loved it both times! Performers are extrodinary!:thumbsup2 I give them a standing O at the end!:worship:

I'm on board with all the people who LOVE this show!

DH and I usually don't do shows at WDW, but last time we were there I insisted on seeing Nemo. We are both huge theater fans and we thought this show was fantastic.

As for people who were distracted by the puppeteers I find this a bit suprising. The Lion King (Broadway show - phenomenal in my opinion) also does this and I think it adds such an interesting dimension to the performance.

Bottom line? Nemo is a MUST SEE!

It's the only show we've ever walked out on. We found it to be horrible. For the record, we love the movie. Most of the added songs were pretty bad.

Haven't read the replies so this is my unbiased thoughts...

DS#3 had just turned 2. He was antsy and didn't want to really watch the show. I was sitting there, praying, he'd scream so I could take off. He finally did it. I was out of there so fast so we "wouldn't disturb anyone else". DH and our older boys followed shortly. It was my kids who asked to leave and DH jumped at it. All of us HATE that show.

WOW!

Just finished reading this thread and I am amazed at how many people do not like this show.
Some even think the pile of **** Tarzan Rocks was Better??????:confused3
The show is Long???:confused3 what do you people have ADD , your average kids movie is still an hour and 15 and 3 years olds have no problem watching them straight through.

Nemo the Musical is the absolute best stage production in all of WDW. To take a story and transform it into a musical with a 100% original score is no easy task and if you never saw the movie you wouldn't know it wasn't a musical.

The puppetry is amazing, some even better than the Lion King on Broadway -sheer genius-- and in this day and age , it would be insulting to the audience to try and hide the puppeteers/actors (we all know they are puppets) better to incorporate their talent into the show.
I love FOTLK but after 8 years of the same show with nothing knew - I put Nemo-TM as a better use of my time than seeing that again , and is definitely better than Pocohantas , Flights of Wonder , Conservation Station, Its tough to be a bug -- so unless you are only going to AK for 3 hours or 4 Hours - I put Nemo as a must see.

Bye - Bye - Bye -Bye - Bye - Bye

I agree with you about the puppetry being amazing. In fact, when I take apart the show in my mind, all the elements are so technically advanced and original the innovation really should work.

However, having said all that, to me the show was sooooo BORING.

The best analogy I could use is like going to see the special effect movie of the year. The effects are great eye candy, but the story as a whole just isn't good. I could praise the special effects and all it took to make look so good, but I still left the theater bored.

The skill it takes to operate the Nemo puppets and sing is not easy and all the actors were all great, I just wish I didn't feel like I wanted to leave after the first 10 minutes.

I love, Love, LOVED this show. I had to see it twice on my solo trip in Dec. I thought it was FOTLK meets LaNouba. They are real (actors equity union Or whatever it's called) They sing, dance, perform, act. Can't wait to see it in a week. I read previous posts and I can't imagine someone not liking it but :confused3

Boy, when this first opened, I was the only one who was pretty ho-hum about it. Glad to see I'm no longer alone.

I really didn't care for the Nemo show. But I really didn't much like the movie, either.

I wish they'd put in a Jungle Book show. :) It would even fit the AK theme.
