It is the best show on WDW property. Maybe even the best stage show I have ever seen. A must do on our trips.
Interestingly enough, the words and music for the show were actually written by a novice newlywed couple.
B-O-R-I-N-G!!! We really didn't like it at ALL. While the costumes were nicely done, it was just too drawn out and the singing got under your skin after awhile.
I must admit I do not like this show. I thought it was way too long to hold kids attention and I found myself yawning and dreaming of it being over.
For those of you who really dislike it, what are some other attractions that you really dislike? I would like a basis for comparison.
Sounds like we have similar tastes! I didn't mention Astro Orbiter earlier but yeah that ride is horrible, it's like Dumbo on roids with a little crank thrown in.My strong Disney dislikes in no particular order are Astro Orbiter, Snow White, Swiss Family, and the new Tiki Room. Over at Universal it's Shrek 4-D and Twister.
My earlier comments aside, I think you should see Finding Nemo at least once. (I plan to take my guests unless they don't want to go.) You might love it, you might hate it, you might wish you had the time to spend elsewhere, but at least you'd know what you were missing.
LOVED IT! Except for the part at the end where everybody in the lower level seats felt it necessary to stand up and run for the door before it even opened so that they could be the first ones out and thus blocked our view of the end of the last scene and the final curtain call from where we were sitting in handicapped seats. If I had to guess, those that ran to the door before it was over were probably those that didn't enjoy it, just didn't get it, or have never been to Broadway show, opera, or any other performance that doesn't involve stadium vendors slinging peanuts and beer. But I digress...
The actors are all top-notch, Broadway caliber performers. I guess if you don't like live theater, it's not for you. But then again the title is "Finding Nemo - The Musical" so one might expect there will be a fair amount of singing in it, no? Seeing the puppeteers with the puppets is the whole genius of the show. Not only are the actors controlling the puppets, but they're acting out the roles along with the puppets, imparting extra emotion to the story that you just can't get with a puppet alone. So yeah, I really liked it and can't wait to see again. But then again I have a musical performance background, so I'm naturally drawn to stuff like this. Your mileage may vary.
