HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day today!! I have my family coming over this afternoon - so it will be a nice day for me!! :)

Hi Ho... just back from St Louis... saw the Arch, mermca caverns, Cohika mounds, and rode all the coasters at 6 flags bunches of times... boy oh boy.. does 6 flags make you really miss WDW.. it is dirty, filthy, rides in dispair...yuk..

off to do laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping and then to my Dad's. This is the 1st Mother's day without my Mom...:sad1:
Happy Mother's Day all...
see ya later,..

thanks Jackie... how are you feeling? What are you and the sista doing today?

I'm feeling fine and dandy....spending the morning DISing! Haven't heard from TiggersPal yet.....yesterday she slept till NOON!!!! I went to see "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with my DBil last night.....laughed my *** off!

I was just thinking about throwing on some clothes, heading to KFC and taking some chicky over to their house and just relax on the patio today (current temp 77 degrees)

Here are the boys on the 1st day of the trip

Yep they have gotten big.. gotta go to my dad's...TTFN

Evening guys

So have all you mums (or I guess that should be moms!) had a good day?

geffric I'm sorry you are missing your mum today.:grouphug: Which coasters did you ride at Six Flags? My aim this year is to ride as many new rollercoasters as possible.

ibouncetoo I'm glad you liked the movie. A group of us from the theatre are all thinking about going to see it after rehearsal next week. I'm jealous about the temperature. Our weather at the moment is mixed. We keep having showers followed by a few hours of warm sun.

Oh well, I'm going to watch Father of the pride, I love that show. We saw Seigfreid and Roy when we went to Vegas which makes it funnier!

77 degrees, oh Lord does that sound like heaven, well that and the KFC. We are having a very nice lazy mom's dad. I watched my movie and the kids are watching Monster's Inc. In PJ's very early just lounging.

Happy Mother's day...

Quick post while baby is being fed before we go out to dinner with my family...

Later I will come back for my Digital Camera Rant... DW loved her new one, but mine broke. We had the extended warranty...

I'll post the rant after dinner... gotta go...

This was my 24th Mother's Day without my Mom. But on the bright side, it was my 1st AS a Mom.

For the most part the day was pretty much a usual Sunday around here - domestic necessities (laundry), family outing, more domestic necessities (more laundry), etc. We went to dinner at a country club with ohanafamily's family. Ian was a perfect little angel while we were there. And he looked so cute in his Polo button down shirt and Polo pants - still too big on him but adorable none the less.

Just called Crystal Palace, Brekfast is on the way....

[Rant]
OK, here is my rant from yesterday...

Micro center uses warrentech for their replacement insurance. I have had a bad experience with them in the past. (I bought an on-site warranty for a printer, and in the fine print the onsite part means that they pay for the shipping since there is no service center in the area). When I bought the warranty I found out it was with Warrentech as I was purchasing the extended warranty. I was assured that they have very few problems with them... So, the main knob is broken off of said $650 camera. I drag the whole family across town (RRBB felt guilty about breaking my camera) get into line at the store and wait (there was no one in line, but the 2 agents were discussing something. One asked me what the problem was. I told them broken camera, I have the warranty and the original receipts... "I can't help you, So'nso is the one who does all of these, she is off today. Hold on, let me get you the only person here who can help you". "OK". The Manager in charge walked over, finished a phone call and ..."Have you called the 800 Number?" "What 800#?" I started to walk up to the counter and they stopped me. "This is through a 3rd party insurance company, they need to OK it before we can look at the camera. They need to fax us an authorization" (Mind you, I do have my original invoice with the camera serial number and where they charged me for the warranty) She instructed one of the others there to give me a card with the 800# on it. I said "From where can I call them." They offered me a phone near the counter. I went and sat down and called on my cell phone (free nights and weekends) "Hello Please press 1 if you..." ::GRRRRR:: "Hello, how may I assist you?" I have a broken camera!" What is your phone number, when was it purchased, what did you pay for it, describe the problem. How was it broken.. What do you mean it will still take pictures; isn't it a VIDEO camera. Our records show it is a VIDEO camera. until our records are corrected I cannot process any claims; you understand? it will take three days for our system to update, If we do not call you back in three days, please call us and give us this control number....."

I am thinking back to my railroad post and burocracies... OK, I go over to the MOD and tell her I am not happy. "Look, I want to help you, The person who is our liason is off today (she is a mom) and I'll have her deal with this first thing in the morning. May I please make copies of the invioce?" "OK, I'll deal with it, I just am not happy" "Thank you"

The more I thought about it, the more I should have played the "It's her first mother's day, and we won't get any picture... but then again she she had her new camera with her... It is their mistake, but who knows...
[/Rant]

At any rate, good morning everyone...

:jumping2:

morning.. it is still warm here but rainy...

how about chocolate ommettes made to order, chocolate bagels and cream cheese plus chocolate lattes

Ohanafamily, sounds like a bunch of fun... not! Sorry to hear about all of that, but the railroad-horses butt thing was pretty interesting.

Yesterday for Mother's Day, we went to IHOP for breakfast, then did housework! Woohoo! My brother came home to do his laundry, so for dinner we went to this really good cajun restaurant. My mom and I watched "The Incredibles" before that, though. Yeah, that was about it. School today went okay, I had a spanish and chemistry test. I think I did okay on them. Nothing else major has happened.

Have a great evening everyone!

Good evening all :wave2: - had a very slow day at work today, which makes the day go by very slow. Now that I am home, I have a lot to do - so the evening will go by really fast. I'm still trying to play catch-up after being sick last week.

What's everyone having for dinner tonight? I'm making French Dip sandwichs w/ mozzarella cheese on them. A nice fast dinner, so I can do my laundry.

Hope everyone's well and I'll talk to you later!

Well, I'm thinking about going to Ruby Tuesday's for my dinner. Haven't been out of the house yet and I need to do a walk....so I'm thinking the mall would be a good place to do it ::yes:: Though I never did get that KFC I was thinking about the other day....maybe I'll do that and watch the Bachelor nonsense. :confused3

Hi all, just a quick note to let you know that Micro-center called & told me that Since the knob had broken off, it is not covered by the extended warranty ; this means that the expensive warranty that they TOLD me would cover anything isn't worth the bathroom tissue it might as well have been written on.$200 to repair it, A new one is $340. Should I get it fixed???

DHS, I Like IHOP ! yummier

SLO , we had taco ring without the ring?!? it was delicious!

:jumping2:

Hi All !!!
Hope everyone is doing well !!!!

Hope all the MoMs out there had a wonderful family fun filled Mom's day

Just :moped: by to say Hello

One of these days I'm hoping to Ketchup to My Mind..... :rotfl:

:grouphug:

Good morning guys, I thought I would drop in before work as I don't have to be in as early this week (the kids have exams this week so I don't have any prep to do in the mornings so I can go in about 45 minutes later!!)

ohanafamily sorry you have had problems with your camera. I would probably get another one if it can't be fixed, after all you need a good camera to catch all your precious moments of Ians first trip to WDW.

Oh, I loved the horse story too, I will have to tell my uncle that, he loves anything to do with space travel (he didn't speak to me for a week when I called him at work from the Kennedy Spece Centre!!)

I guess I should be going. Yesterday my kids had 2 science tests and they did well. I have the year 5 kids for science so had to mark their papers last night. All but 3 of them got levels we expect them to get at the end of next year and 5 got levels we expect in high school!! I am so pleased with them. Today theu have 2 English writing exams and a spelling test. The will probably find this one harder to do.

Oh well, off to work I go. :wave2: :teacher:

Good morning, had a ham sandwich for dinner, yummy but not very filling. DS is up early to we are getting in some extra dissing before work. See yeah!
