Good morning!

For dinner last night, my mom and I had this tomato sauce with round steak. It was good! Afterwards I went to my Venturing meeting where we played beach volleyball. I haven't played in so long, so I forgot how fun it is! I also found out how strong I was!LOL! Gotta go to school now... woo hoo!

Bye, have a great day!

Hi. working from home today since i have to go to the scout shop to get another LIFE patch for Geoff for his Jambo uniform. Did I tell ya the cat story?

She went to my Dad's while we went to St Louis.. she loves my Dad ( remember this is his cat) and she was very happy there. We thought that she would be happy to come back to our house. But we were wrong.. She didn't want to get in the carrier. We have never had so much problems with her not getting into the carrier.. Well we got home with her on Sunday, and she basically is not speaking to us. She is bitey girl too. Not very happy!!! But this am, she bought a bird that she had killed to us but then DH put it in the garbage. Now she really is mad at us...:sad1:

Anyway, will stop by later..

Good Morning too...

How about some cold Pizza for breakfast today???

:jumping2:

Wow, sure has been quiet around here lately!

It's halfway through the week! Woohoo! Okay, gotta go study for a world history test...

Good morning, more coffee please. I hate to put the negative energy out there but I think DS is going through his seasonal issues so I'm gonna be tired and in need of chocolate support.

Morning.. have some breakfast for ya...

s&ksmom, :grouphug:

DHSsenior007, good luck on the test!!!!!

:jumping2:

Good morning guys
Sorry no colour, but I am on my way out to work and posting quicky.

DHSsenior007 - How are the tests going? My class have had their exams all week this week too. The papers have been mostly OK. Today we have our last exam, a maths calculator paper. I am hoping they do well on it.

S&K'smom - PD to you.

Geffric - any chance of more starbucks coffee around 2pm here (my time) that is when I start to get worn out and work and need eaking up a little!!

Work is OK at the moment, but I was speaking to the deputy head about next year (she has to sort the classes out), from our conversation I think I might not be getting the nice class I was promised after this year. In fact I have a feeling that not only will my class next year be hard work due to the spread of abilities in it but it will also be the biggest class in the school (about 10 more kids than in other classes!!) But at least being on the senior management team I will get a heads up on the situations as decisions are made and will do my upmost not to have that class. I think if I had not been given a hard class this year I would mind, but I think it is someone elses turn. Unfortunately the only people I can see them going to for various reasons would be either me or the teacher I work with now who also has a difficult class. Oh well, we will see what happens.

Just popping in to say HI. Haven't been on much lately. Doing a little skimming when I have the time. So close to graduation and moving I'm going a little beserk with all I have to get done

Have a great weekend.

Danauk I'll join you for that coffee break!

Good news folks, got my child care license!!!! Yup it's in the mail so to speak. Not sure when I'm gonna start, I want to sign my kids school year plans for next year before anything. Rather anal that way everything in a row! It's no wonder my DS has OCD issues!!!!

Good Friday morning!

Well, I did well on my tests, and even though I still have two weeks left of school, more are coming! I don't have any final exams because my school has this awesome exemption policy that's tied to attendance, so I just have to take my drill team final, which will be showing up, dressing up, and doing whatever it is we're supposed to do that day!

I have a car wash tomorrow for officer camp for drill team, so I'll be gone all day. Then that night I have a banquet, then Sunday I have a drill team thing. Craziness!

Did y'all here that in Texas (I'm assuming...) we're not going to start school till after Labor Day? It starts in 2006, when I'm a senior.

Gotta go! Have a great weekend everyone!

Morning all..

We had Eric's band concert last night, the kids did a really great job and have improved a lot. I think that Eric needs some private lessons befor 7th grade though, Some of the kids are really good, I think that they are having private lessons.

Geoff's classes did NOTHING yesterday.. everyone was too busy playing tricks on each other, ( the teachers) so the kids helped. I don't mind but the kids have a whole month of school left, so i am not sure why they are playing games now.. that should be left for the last week.. Maybe an 8th grade thing..:confused3

I had to go to the high school yesterday and drop off his medical forms, so I bought him a HS tshirt.. but bad MOM bought next year's style, not this year's. So he says that he can't wear it to school yet 'cause he will be the only one with next years and that is a no no..

Breakfast.. how about some Mint Mocha Frappinco.. yummy..

and some..Peanut butter and chocolate chip waffles, chocolate chip pancakes, fresh fruit and chocolate peanutbutter dip .. YUMMY..

geffric, thanks for the update, are private band lessons exprnsive??? Why not tell Geoff that the shirt is next years style and he would be a trendsetter... Oh, and thanks for the breakfast as well...

Danauk, PD, I know the big class is more difficult, but isn't it just a little more satisfying that you are doing a job better than the rest around you??? I looked up fares on AA to go to Gatwick on 7/2 and leave on 7/4... I found an $865 per person fare... OK, I can dream... TagBabyIan is still a little young. He loves the SuperNanny. I think it is her accent.Maybe I should tell him that we want to visit Nany Jo's Younger Prettier Sister...Naaa Seriously, we have a friend from Sandwich and TagBabyIan loves his accent too.

Good luck on the classes....

DHSsenior007, Sounds like a busy weekend. Glad you are doing well... I wish I could have skipped exams when I was your age...

:jumping2:

Well I've just got in from work and am glad it is the weekend. All the teachers had a meeting today to discuss what class we would like to teach next year but couldn't agree on anything so we are meeting again on Monday. We were told that the oldest class will have 33 kids in and will be in my current room. So either I have the class or have to move rooms. I think I would rather move rooms but looking at things I really suspect I will be staying where I am. So much for getting a great class after this year!! Oh well, at least I will enjoy by Christmas break at Disney more, I think I will definately be earning it!! The kids I suspect I will end up getting next year will be better behaved than this year but the ability will be huge. It will have kids in who do not even know their alphabet and kids who could possibly already do high school work! They will be 10 and 11 year olds. On the plus side the class will have at least 3 assistants (2 are attached to certain children) so I will not be on my own!!

Oh well, I really should go and clean as our best friends are coming over in just over an hour for the evening. Plus I think I need to look at new jobs. The only problem is that to leave at the end of the school year we have to hand our notice in in 3 weeks time. I don't think I have long enough to find anything new.

Danauk you do seem to be caught between the rock and the hard place so to speak.. Does Pete's school have anything?

ohanafamily you may not remember to 8th grade, but it is a no no to be the trendsetter..:confused3 only "certain" people can be the trendsetters and he is not one of them. He needs to be one of the pack.. He will wear his tshirt during the summer and then at school next year..

geffric thanks for the PD. Pete and I work in different types of schools. He is trained to teach 11 - 18 year olds and I am trained to teach 4 - 11 year olds. The thought of teaching a group of 14 year olds scares the you know what out of me!!!! I have been thinking a lot these past few hours and although on Monday I will say I really do not want the oldest class if I am told by my line manager I have to have them it might not be as bad as I initially thought (I mean I was dreading this year as you well know and I have nearly survived - my class are so much better now). So if I have to have them, I have to, and I might as well get on with it. I am trying to think of it as a positive. Ideally in our school environment the exam class (especially if there is only one of them) is given to your best teacher, so I guess it is actually a kind of compliment.

ohanafamily I was the nerd with no style too, plus I went to band camp!!!! (Although it was nothing like on American Pie if you have seen those films!)

Well our best friends came around this evening which cheered me up (they always come over on a Friday which we all look forward to). We decided to make a couple of changes to our trip (we swapped a couple of days around) and we spent ages chatting and swapping moaning stories about our week.)

Oh well, I should go to bed. I need to be up early tomorrow as we are going shopping (I need some sun glasses plus Clinique are having a bonus time - you buy 2 times and get a load free, so I want some things plus I have a shopping list from the girls at work!) So I guess I should be going to bed.

Have a great evening everyone.
