If I was there, I'd give you a WW Bravo. What an excellent choice.
Thanks.....I guess you haven't read the posts about Starbucks yet, huh?

Kindered Spirits!!! I knew it!!! One of my nephews left yesterday to go to Austrailia for World Youth Day and I've been pacing the floors ever since he took off!!!
You know Jan...you're right...![]()
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh... we don't have DQ here... BUT .... I did have an interesting experience at the one in Cabo... (Yes, I found a DQ in Cabo...)
There you have it! I'm sure that all of the smart set will be sporting their bruises in exactly the same way in Paris this season. I can just see all the madames and mademoiselles strolling up and down the Champs E'lyse showing off their best bruises to toutes les mondes!

OK, so here is the run down of today:
We started shopping in earnest today, putting together the accoutrements for September. I have a very particular look planned for the big day.
We went to a hat store, but they did not have my size, so I was forced to turn to the Internet.
I've ordered the shirts. We either have everything else, or they are enroute, except for the ties.
There is also a HUGE music festival going on in our neighborhood, the Old Town School of Music Roots festival, so we wandered a block or two over to take in the music. There's a big park a couple of blocks away from our house (about 4 blocks or 5 blocks square) where the festival is going on. They have a big main stage and several smaller stages and tents, plus at tent with dancing. We managed to catch a gypsy Bulgarian techno group that was quite good. The group is called "Slavic Soul Party."
Now I'm just sitting on the front porch, enjoying an amazing sunset. The cicadas in the trees are starting to sing, or chirp or whatever they do. Because it is dusk, the fire flies have started to appear and are putting on another light show.
There has been one thing that has been bothering me. I probably haven't mentioned this before, but I smell cigarette smoke. I mean I smell cigarette smoke when there's no one around smoking. It is stale cigarettes sort of like 3:00 AM when the bar is closed and the scent of stale smoke hangs in the air.
I used to accuse Sukie of starting smoking again, but then I noticed that I smell it when I'm at my desk, when I'm in meetings, when I'm in places where it is impossible to have ever had cigarette smoke.
Sometimes it goes away completely, and sometimes it can be almost continuous.
I've been to the doctor for it, and saw a neurologist. He explained that it was just a little electrical blip, sort of like when it's raining and if you have satellite TV the picture can be a bit pixelated.
My doctor, who is also Jewish, has no sense of humor about it. When I told her about it, she commented that it was unfortunate that at least it was not a pleasant smell.
I said, "Yeah, at least if I was smelling rose petals, that might mean the Virgin Mary was going to appear to me, but well, stale cigarettes? Does that mean a waitress in a cheap diner is going to be an apparition?"
My doctor just could not see the funny side of that.
Absolutely! I suspect he'll probably get it on Tuesday because they say they don't bill my credit card until it's ready to ship and they did charge it today. The ones I did before seemed to arrive about 3 days after I ordered.I understand. That's OK. Maybe some day I can see it in person.
Maybe you can let us know what Tyler thinks of it when he gets it !!

HI MICHELLE!!
HEY! What are you 2 yelling about?!MONICA!!!!!!
How are you!!!!!
But......did you win?!You know a couple of years ago up at the lake I fell backwards off the Bingo table (the bench actually) and got a bruise straight across the right cheek that was in the shape of Manhattan and Staten Island... Of course, everyone came running when I tipped... (that was my mistake for playing at the Ambulance Corp table!!!) They all wanted to know if I was ok... I wanted them to call the next number... I was ONE away from winning!!!
Holy cow Michelle! Well, hopefully things will look better when you wake up tomorrow. Good grief, what's up with so many folks here having days where everything goes wrong?I had a very unproductive day...
Woke up to pain in my side...
took about 5 trips to the ladies room to figure out I had another Kidney stone![]()
I am NOT happy with that one... have been drinking lime juice all day and will mix up my concoction of lime and olive oil later and try that again...
so I had lots to do and I managed to crawl back into bed and just lay there...
THEN....
I found out that one of the families that goes to the lake found another place and didn't tell anyone about it... so I am slightly, well, maybe a bit more PISSED about that...& here I was thinking of building extra guest cottages on the property if I get it for friends, etc...
They are having a fireman's parade here in town...sirens all day - not sure if I will make it to the fireworks tonight...
AND ON TOP OF THAT...
SOMETHING IS EATING MY GARDEN!!!!!!!!!!
All my flowers are gone. They touched nothing up on the deck...just all my zinnias and marigolds... I suspect a rabbit... I'd say Bunny Rabbit, but he's NOT that cute!!!![]()

Awww, that is so sweet Monica!Ok...if you don't want to read what a loving aunt wants to babble about, please feel free to skip this....(don't mind my spelling)
I was talking to my sister Thursday night on my way home from work. I asked her what my baby girl was doing and she said "vacuuming" (she has a toy vacuum). I joked and said "tell her to come vacuum my house"...she then said "Sydney, do you want to talk to Taita?" Next thing I hear are these fast footsteps and my sister calls out "she's running". Sydney then talked up a storm to meand of course blew me some kisses.
You know that I would have been oneven if she hadn't said a word. Just hearing her run to the phone (instead of her mom giving her the phone) was enough to make my week.
Ok - gushing over.
I am going to have some tough weeks coming up...Lisa, Ian, David & Sydney are off to Argentina on Monday, and won't be back until just about the last day of the month.
"Hi, my name is Monica and I'm an obsessed aunt"
And I do appreciate it!Phoey--I was hoping it would help.![]()

--not sure if I asked this already or not, but does anyone remember if we had a carpet like this on the gangway at Castaway Cay?
