I have a great and fun story to tell you guys!!

Everyone knows I collect Coke Rewards (almost have 11,000 now!!). They started a new instant win game having to do with Sprite. I started playing last week. You can play 10 times a day. If you win, you get a $100 virtual Visa Card (they don't send you anything...you get a code to get a credit card # you can use online).....well, yesterday I WON $100!

So I was playing today and I won a Second $100!! I couldn't believe it!!

You can win up to twice!!

My kids are really laughing at me!! I am laughing all the way to the bank!:rotfl: :surfweb: :surfweb: :rotfl:
Oh my gosh, WAY TO GO!!! Wow, I definitely need to check this out. :goodvibes

Everyone else probably knows Holly, but how is Tyler doing these days? Feel free to PM me if it is repeating stuff.
John, I'll PM you as soon as I get caught up here, and next time I have a free moment, so as not to bore everybody with the same story. :thumbsup2

OMG CHERI! :scared1:

Well, it seems like the Arizona Guardian Angel League has been VERY busy this past week!

I'll call you later today.

Ahh...how I miss the friendly banter back and forth...

This summer has a weird feeling to it...not sure if it is living with the smoke or not flying anywhere. I can't remember the last summer I didn't make a trip somewhere. I just purchased one of those Sheraton Hawaii specials (where they hope you fall in love with the resort and buy into it). You don't need to attend any timeshare presentation...itis $699 for 5 nights, $185 towards rental car, and $100 hotel credit. Not bad! I have 15 months to use it...maybe next summer.

I have been having such a hard time getting back into the groove of work. I adored spending all that time with my family...and now I just get them from 6pm-7am. I think I need another vacation! Maybe we should go to hawaii now - except the airfare is crazy!!!

Holly, did you get the USB thing and did the movies work?
I sure did! You probably missed my post about that....I should have PM'd you instead, sorry! It came about 10 days after you mailed it and it works PERFECTLY! Thanks so much! I played it for Tyler and he made me play it again 2 more times and was smiling the whole time watching. :goodvibes It's such a great memento to have, so nice of you!

At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinkin I could never live without you by my side
But then I spent so many nights thinking how you did me wrong
And I grew strong, and I learned how to get along

And so you're back, from outer space
I just walked in to find you here, with that sad look upon your face
I should've changed that stupid lock, I should've made you leave your key
If I'd have known for just one second you'd be back to bother me.

Go on now go, walk out the door,
Just turn around now, cause you're not welcome anymore.
Weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with good-bye,
You think I'd crumble, you think I'd lay down and die.

Oh, no not I, I will survive,
Oh as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive
I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give
And I, l will survive, I will survive....Hey, hey

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm soooo bummed that I missed this! I had my wig on, and was headed out the door, then that darned pager beeped and I had to get Tyler. :sad2:

Cheri, oh my gosh, I'm glad you're OK! Holy cow! What's up with the car accidents in this group? :grouphug:

Wow, I didn't think I'd catch up before they close this thread.

Leaving work in less than an hour to go have lunch with Tyler. Parents are invited to lunch and to browse the book fair going on. I already bought him a few books from it, so I'll have to remind him of that. ;)

I printed the wig picture to take to my lunch with Tyler. He'll love it! We never met Gaylean, but he definitely remembers Bubba.

Don't worry as I missed it out too, I brought lime green wig and never had it on. I wish i did it. Never mind.

But I glad that I went to Pink Champagne as my friend was turning me down at last mins and I went along on my own and it turn out great.

I look at photos and it was good and realised that you and Heather were not there.

Never mind, I have photo of you both and Tyler too but I think you send me your one as I think your own is better than my one. I will email you later okay

Hi everyone,
I had a wonderful trip to DL with Dylan (my 10 yr old nephew). We left last Thurs. and had Thurs. evening, Fri., Sat., Sun. and Mon. at the park. We closed it every night except Sunday; that night we left early, at 11:30 p.m!:lmao: When we woke up Tues. morning we were both REALLY tired, needless to say. We checked out at 11, which was a struggle since we woke up at 10, had breakfast and started back to AZ around 1 p.m. Even after eating and drinking some coffee I felt really fatigued, but figured once I got going I'd perk up.

Well, I didn't perk up; in fact, after about 90 min. (a little east of Beaumont for those of you who know the area) I was feeling really sleepy. I thought about just pulling over on the freeway and sleeping for a little bit, but I was afraid it would worry Dylan, so I kept driving, thinking I would pull off at the next exit I saw that had a gas station or burger place. That's the last thing I remember thinking. The next thing I knew, literally, was that I opened my eyes and found myself bearing down on what I thought was a semi. I slammed on my brakes, but hit the back of the vehicle (which it turned out was an old truck pulling a sand rail or something like that, going about 55 mph--I was going 65 or 70, not over the speed limit). The air bags went off, I veered to the right, went through a barbed wire fence, down an 8 ft. embankment and ended up on a local highway that ran parallel to the freeway. Miraculously the car didn't roll; my front tires didn't even blow out, but the front end of my car was pretty demolished and the roof and passenger side were scraped and dented from the fence post and wire. Also miraculously (and I don't use that word lightly), neither of us was hurt. Dylan didn't even have a scrape on him and all I suffered was a burn on the back of my right hand from the chemical that deploys the airbag.

To summarize the rest of the story, my car is in a wrecking yard in Beaumont; I'll hear in a few days whether it is considered totaled or not. We went to the hospital in Palm Springs because Dylan some stomach pain. We both had x-rays and checked out OK. My sister drove out immediately, got there about 9:30. We spent the night at a hotel, went to the wrecking yard today and cleaned out my car and drove back to Scottsdale. I'm getting a rental car tomorrow and am counting my blessings that neither one of us, especially Dylan, was hurt.

Moral of the story: learn from my mistake! My gut was telling me to stop and I didn't do it. I can't believe how fast it all happened. I have no recollection of dozing--I don't know exactly what did happen, but I jeopardized not only my own life, but the life of my nephew. I could never have forgiven myself if something had happened to him. I know we both were divinely protected. We were wearing our seat belts and I was driving a good car (Honda Accord). We're both very sore, and emotionally shaken, but physically fine. I'm so glad to be back and be safe.

I'm many pages behind and don't know when or if I'll be able to catch up, but send my love to everyone.

Oh Cheri, I'm so glad you both are fine. What a horrible thing. I do know the feelings that you had, as before my sleep apnea was diag. I would fall asleep while driving. bubba would not even allow me to drive. When I realized it was a serious problem, I had my Mom and Auntie in my car driving back home from a shopping trip out of town. Luckly I didn't have an accident, but I knew that I was a danger to my passenger and myself.

Again I so glad you are both ok. Cars can be replaced, but the lives of our friends & family are priceless.

And now you and Jackie will have some stories to tell when we see you in Sept.

I had to miss out on Champagne girls too because either Tyler was not in the club or it was during bingo or something, I can't remember which. :guilty:

Looking forward to seeing what photo you have. :goodvibes Did you want me to send you the one I posted on here that has you, Olivia, Heather, me and Tyler?

If we have a reunion in 2010 then we will have Champagne Girls and Wiggie evenings galore!!! Mustn't forget Old Geezers and GIT's too. I'll be well advanced in years then.:lmao:
