I did d23when it was at CR 2023. We stayed at GF. I had to mono over to CR for events but didn’t think things were any different than normal. I stay at CR often and they do conventions regularly so they have capacity.Hi everyone! So, I’ve planned an adult trip for my wife’s 40th Bday. We’ve got 9 of us coming, and we’ve booked at Coronado Springs. We are staying Labor Day weekend, and I didn’t realize it until this week that we are staying the same weekend of D23 (at the same resort)! Will the resort be a nightmare that weekend? Will the pools and transportation be overrun? We are committed for that weekend, but are trying to decide if we need to change resorts. Thanks for any help!
We did Destination D23 two years ago. You do not have time to use the pool or restaurants or transportation. You are either in a session or in line to go to a session. Then they have off site events for you at night. This year they are going to TL for a party. You should be fine.Hi everyone! So, I’ve planned an adult trip for my wife’s 40th Bday. For 2026, they have eliminated the view based room type/description and replaced them with location based room type/description. Which is why all preferred rooms are unavailable for booking 2026 datesJust looking on line at booking for next year. What is the difference between a Preferred Location and a Preferred Room? The Preferred Rooms show sold out, but they have Preferred Locations available to book.
Yes, that was my point. In 2026 the description will say Preferred Location. Previously it just said Preferred. If you're searching for 2026 dates, you'll see the old just Preferred (which will always be unavailable) and the new Preferred Location listed. @maxiesmom was asking what's the difference between the 2. There isn't any difference, just a change in naming. Hopefully I'm explaining this correctly.I still see preferred room options available for April and May 2026.View attachment 970953

Hello! New to CSR. Usually stay All Stars.
I’d like a room as close to my car as possible as we plan to drive to the parks, except MK. I prefer first floor, too. Is Ranchos a good option. I don’t plan to eat at the resort or swim. We will be doing rd-close three consecutive days. (Three WDW veteran adults.)
Additionally, I’ve heard buses are challenging. What would y’all recommend room wise if I need to take the bus to MK.
Thank you!!!
Do you know if there were buses sent directly to tower first thing in morning or if all park buses started at bus bus stop 2 Cassitas?Always stay at the tower. Never had a problem with buses. Although the resort is huge and spread out, parking is readily available within reasonable walking distance wherever you stay at CS
