I actually DID something today!! (shocking!)

I went to the library & took out several books (almost done w/ Broken by William Cope Moyers..Bill Moyers' son) 'cuz I'm going to need something new tomorrow...then headed out to Starbucks on 192 near Celebration and spent about 1 1/2 hrs sitting in a nice comfy leather seat, reading, and drinking a Java Chip Frappachino. Very nice morning.

I would have stayed longer except that the sky was about to open up, so I got into my car prior to the rain starting.

Have been dealing w/ laundry...and watched "The other Boleyn girl". Book is DEFINATELY better. Snacked on "bag o' salad" and now am on line. Should head out to Publix tonight, but think I may just do that on the way home from church tomorrow.

I had a very unproductive day...

Woke up to pain in my side...

took about 5 trips to the ladies room to figure out I had another Kidney stone

I am NOT happy with that one... have been drinking lime juice all day and will mix up my concoction of lime and olive oil later and try that again...

so I had lots to do and I managed to crawl back into bed and just lay there...

THEN....

I found out that one of the families that goes to the lake found another place and didn't tell anyone about it... so I am slightly, well, maybe a bit more PISSED about that... & here I was thinking of building extra guest cottages on the property if I get it for friends, etc...

They are having a fireman's parade here in town...sirens all day - not sure if I will make it to the fireworks tonight...

AND ON TOP OF THAT...

SOMETHING IS EATING MY GARDEN!!!!!!!!!!

All my flowers are gone. They touched nothing up on the deck...just all my zinnias and marigolds... I suspect a rabbit... I'd say Bunny Rabbit, but he's NOT that cute!!! :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

Ok...if you don't want to read what a loving aunt wants to babble about, please feel free to skip this....:rotfl: (don't mind my spelling)

I was talking to my sister Thursday night on my way home from work. I asked her what my baby girl was doing and she said "vacuuming" (she has a toy vacuum). I joked and said "tell her to come vacuum my house"...she then said "Sydney, do you want to talk to Taita?" Next thing I hear are these fast footsteps and my sister calls out "she's running". Sydney then talked up a storm to me :goodvibes and of course blew me some kisses.

You know that I would have been on :cloud9: even if she hadn't said a word. Just hearing her run to the phone (instead of her mom giving her the phone) was enough to make my week.

Ok - gushing over.

I am going to have some tough weeks coming up...Lisa, Ian, David & Sydney are off to Argentina on Monday, and won't be back until just about the last day of the month.

"Hi, my name is Monica and I'm an obsessed aunt"

Good - how are you?

Any more news on the financing for the land?

Still waiting, but nobody else has been to see it... also there is another cabin over by the ones I used to rent that went up for sale... lots with the economy...

I think my best revenge for the people who rented and didn't tell anyone is to get the land, build my house and put an electric gate across the entrance!!!

(I know... I'm not that kind of person... )

Ugh - sorry about that. Hope it passes soon - I've heard they're not fun.

If you build it, they will come (well - lots of DISers will atleast)

Sorry - this gave me a chuckle :lmao: You need to spot planting such yummy food.

Glad you're alright. Both Sukie and I are much relieved to hear that.

We have one question, what is the fashionable side for people to be wearing their bruises this season? We'd hate to commit a faux pas.

The right side, just above the waist, nice and big.....a small complimentary bruise on the front of the left arm just below the sholder is de rigueur!

.

Jackie, so glad to hear that you are doing okay and that you went to the doctor. Better to be safe than sorry. Take it easy for a few days, the reality of what actually happened may not have set in just yet.

Ian,

I haven't had a chance to listen to your interview yet but Doug has and he says that it was very good.

Sorry I haven't been on for a while. I was on my back for three days starting the 4th and finally was able to move without quite so much pain on Monday. Did something stupid on Wednesday and aggravated my sciatic nerve and then tried to do some exercises on Thursday which just managed to put me down.

Spent the week trying to get caught up here (thank goodness the weekend slowed down) and getting some yard work done that we have been putting off.

Having company on the 24th who have never seen the house (Jan, Denise and Steve are coming for a short visit) and that can motivate you to do a lot of things.

Ian, sorry Doug and I won't be there for your wedding but we are going out in October to visit the kids in San Diego for a week. I have made reservations for two nights at the Grand Californian since the last time we were there they mentioned they would like to stay there. We will be Trick or Treating at CA on Tuesday. I can't wait to take the grandkids. A question for those near DL; what are the temps like there the last part of October?

Ken, got your Mii. Haven't gotten a chance to send you a message yet but will soon.

Carol

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Don't overdo it for company. If they are good :grouphug: friends, they would rather have you healthy than the house picture perfect! TAKE CARE OF CAROL!!

I doubt lack of sleep was an issue for my migraines because I've had them since I was a kid, and I ususually sleep well. I just think the new med (the Pamelor/nortriptyline) is making me sleepy because I'm adjusting. Plus, that could be why it's supposed to be taken at bedtime.

Thanks for the links, I checked them both. Walmart doesn't have the dosage of the nortriptyline I use - they offer 10mg and I do 25mg now but will soon bump to 50, so I'd had to have to swallow 5 per day.

Kroger does have the 25mg, and since I pay $5/monthly rx for that one, if I do their $10/90-day supply, that would save me $5 every 3 months.

The other one, the Relpax, I don't think that's been around long enough to have a generic. There's something about when a new drug comes out, the manufacturer has exclusive rights for a certain number of years so no generics will come out for that amount of time, however long that is. I think 10 years.

Phoey--I was hoping it would help.:confused3

.......You know a couple of years ago up at the lake I fell backwards off the Bingo table (the bench actually) and got a bruise straight across the right cheek that was in the shape of Manhattan and Staten Island... Of course, everyone came running when I tipped... (that was my mistake for playing at the Ambulance Corp table!!!) They all wanted to know if I was ok... I wanted them to call the next number... I was ONE away from winning!!! ......

Glad you were not badly hurt and glad you found humor in it and still do. You are one funny lady.

Jan :earsgirl:

I suddenly have had a FLOOD of new users registering. I couldn't figure out why. It was because I made the front page news of dvcnews.com

I must have received about 30 or 40 new users in the past 2 days.

YEAH! ......I still haven't listened to it yet.....:rolleyes1

Ian... if she didn't go to the Dr.. YELL AT HER!!!   (I mean that in a good way Jackie...)

 ..as you saw...I did go...

Picked up my rental car, a Pontic Grand AM, black. NO TINTED WINDOWS...none of their cars (Enterprise) have tinted windows....do they not realize WHERE WE ARE???? Geeze. It's going to take a day or so to get used to being so close to the ground again. Even though my RAV4 is small, just being that tad bit higher was great.

Thanks for all the hugs and well wishes everyone!

I made a note to try that Starbucks treat and also want to know

you snacked on a "bag o salad"? as in a bag of lettuce and stuff for salad that you just ate by hand out of the bag like popcorn popcorn:: ??:confused3

Sorry you had a yucky day :sad1: Hope the stone is gone soon!

:sad2: Sorry about the lot on the lake

and the rabbits.

 I had limited success squirting vinegar on the leaves of plants as it smells like big cat urine they say. Also have heard that hair clippings scare them off so whenever I cut the hair of DH, DS#1 or DS#2 I would scatter the hair in the garden, but they did not seem to mind and it looked tacky. :lmao:

Jan :earsgirl:

Exactly!! :rotfl:

 SMARTIE~!!

Tell me what kind of beverage is that Jave Chip Frappachino. :confused3 Sounds good already! Internet box is here so I do not need to go to Starbucks to DIS and FACEBOOK but I plan to stop and get one of those anyway.::yes::

Jan :earsgirl:

Coffee, Mocha, Chocolate chips & ice all blended in to a lovely cold drink
