ZanneMarie On snagajob I think it says "up" to $85.00 just because some areas are paid on a different level. We still are paid pretty well in my opinion for what we do. Of course pay raises are always welcome

Yeah...I do think that it says 'up to' but I figure if I am putting my zip code in to see the job opportunites available to me and the listings are customized saying what cities they are available near me in then they ought to be able to control the $$ amount to reflect what is actually being offered. Oh well.

I would really like a raise!! Actually right now I would probably be pretty happy if there were any jobs to book. I have nothing on the schedule.

Yes. If this job wasn't legit, this thread would have died over a year ago. Some of us have been doing this work for over a year. Not one problem!

Did Asian Sensation Egg Rolls & Red Baron Pizza today. This is the first time I’ve ran out of product to sample. Everybody loved both products. I was cutting the egg rolls into 5-6 pieces instead of 3rds. If I hadn’t, it would have been gone in two hours. As it was, I was out of pizza by 2:30 and only had 1 box of egg rolls left at 2:45. To stretch time for the last hour, I was cooking 1 egg roll at a time. I’d wait until the last one was gone then pop another into the microwave. I’d tell people to come back in 5 minutes. I think I gave out the last egg roll at 3:35 then started to clean up at a really slow pace. I do this event again next week.

Splash - the pizza cutter and wet towels came in handy. You must have way more watts than my 700watt microwave. I had to do the pizza 4 minutes and 2 egg rolls 3 minutes. I ended up assembling Julie and putting her on the floor.

900 watts microwave. Yeah, I was "stalling" between cooking next batch too to make them last. I'm doing it again on Tues too. Told you they were popular. I did FINALLY get to taste one on my second event. lol

Thank you, I thought maybe it meant that eventually a person could do the event on a different date, for example, if it was set for a Saturday, then if it wasn't booked, it could be done on a Sunday.

Why would they pay less at a time when they were needing a job to be filled?

I live near a metro area in Minnesota and we must not have too many people doing this here. There were a lot of openings for Coppertone on June 30, but all were the same date/times. I booked the closest one to my home, but there are 3 other stores participating nearby so I was thinking maybe one could be done on July 1.

This will be my first, I am anxious to see what it's like.

SPi does the Kmart and Walmart events.. not as much competition. Maple Grove Walmart gets picked up on a regular basis. K mart events don't seem to be as popular.

Good news is .. I won't be competition for you much longer.. moving to invade someone else's "turf" in California next month

I picked up off dates for Hershey wave 2 for today and Thursday, also did it on Saturday..
I asked for my box on Saturday, they drag out TWO kits. One being the correct Wave 2 box, the other from the anti-oxident event ... I laughed.. they couldn't find my kit when I did the anti-oxident one at this store last month!!
Today I did an off date at another store.. she pulls out an unopened antioxident kit
And she hands me three packages of napkins and a sleeve of portion cups "are these yours?"...

ummm where's the rest of that kit???

Thinking someone opened the box, took the poster, table cloth and coupons to use in store but didn't know what to do with portion cups and napkins.

Let's see what happens on Thursday!

I am only going to do the events around Woodbury, if I'm any good at it. I don't know what TMT is, but the first question asked when I had the phone interview was if I worked for any other company, so I figured there must be others. I have a Kmart in Oakdale, but it wasn't listed for anything - the one on Lake St. in Mpls. was - do not all Kmarts participate? Super Target is over the bridge for me and the other closest is in a mess of construction getting to Roseville, so Walmart here I come.

MassConnections is the company we work for.

SPi & TMT are agencies under MC. The agency is who pays you & where your event co-ordinator works. You are assigned to one agency at first, but others have been successful in being assigned to both so they can have access to more job listings. (I hope I got that all correct. I'm just with Spi. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.) It seems SPI is the better agency in terms of more work offered & less strict in some rules.

There are other companies (like MC) that do this type of work also; names like: Sunflower Group, Promoworks, Frasier & Wagner (?)....... and more. They have their own agencies probably too.

Its been a while since I googled MassConnections or Mass Connections. Some new stuff popping up. Found it interesting that they have a page on a Michigan college website.

Did anyone else have their 6/30 Quesadilla event changed to 7/1? I know that it was 6/30 when I boooked it but somehow it changed. It was 6/30 11-4. It's now 7/1 12-4 at K-Mart.
Worked out good for me because it meant that I could pick up one of those 6/30 Coppertone/Cott events. Now I work 3 days in a row that weekend. And it means another extra $85 before my trip in three weeks.

In my area, TMT has the Target events and SPi has the WalMart & now Kmart events. In other areas, SPi has Target, WalMart, & Kmart. So it’s very possible one agency covers all the MC events in your area.

In my case, I was hired by MC in 10/06 and assigned to TMT. Around Feb/March 07, many of us who were only with TMT received an email from MC asking us if we’d like to be assigned to another agency. That’s how I was assigned to an additional agency, SPi.

Yup, they are listed here too. Holding off booking for now. Hoping to have some fun & possibly some time away with DH one of these days. All those Dasani Plus events are still available for 7/8 also at Target -- so I guess I'll take one of those for now.

Hummm..... Flat Earth Crisps hasn't made it here yet. Did this back in March and it would great to do a product I "already know". By the way, is this a 1-5 event or an 11-3?

Splash - Hope your Hershey event goes better than mine. Nobody wanted to sample the Hersheys, even kids. Made for a long afternoon.
