How great that you had a good time with your neighbors.
Today or tomorrow I'm baking American chocolate chip cookies. I only make them for Christmas. I say American because it's a recipe my parents got when we lived in the USA and I haven't tasted any chocolate chip cookies that are as good here in Norway.
It was so much fun! I am glad that we were finally able to coordinate it.
Mmmm... I love chocolate chip cookies. How did they turn out?
So glad you had a good time with your neighbors! I went to a drop in Christmas brunch at a friend's house this morning and it was just what the doctor ordered. I got all of the presents wrapped except two -- going to have my daughters wrap those...just need to get some stocking stuffers for my husband (he's so hard to shop for) and I'm done. We leave Monday to travel to Georgia for Christmas. We love "Christmas with the Kranks" -- one of our favorite Christmas movies. My nephew arrived home from a two year church mission earlier this week and his brother-in-law held up a sign at the airport that said "Blair and N-Reeky". LOL
We did! Thank you! Sounds like you had a lot of fun too!
WTG! I have all of mine wrapped at the moment, but then Josh and I went out shopping again last night... So, I am not done after all. LOL
That is too funny - I always crack up at that part!

I really didn't do much of anything yesterday....
I cleaned up a little around the house in the morning... Then I worked upstairs and finished my applique... It's really awesome!
Then I got ready for the day... Josh and I decided to go out shopping again... Finally, FINALLY - we are almost done with Allison... I plan to buy one more thing at Target this week, and grab a couple of goodies for her from Ulta on Tuesday when I am in that area - then it's a relief to finally be done with her. Phew! Not the best gifts in the world - but I think she will like them.

I hope.
After we were done shopping - we went out for dinner at Cracker Barrel... I know we've had this discussion before - It's kind of a greasy place, but I love their breakfasts... And I get to order steak with 3 eggs... Yummy.
We came home and watched a bit of TV, I barely remember going to bed.
Today... I've really been up in the air... I have my family's big Christmas party today - on one hand, I want to go, on the other hand - I don't feel like doing the drive. It's 3 hours there, 3 hours home... Josh definitely doesn't want to go... V has her Christmas program with the little kids at church this morning - so she can't go with us... Allison did express interest. So, I am debating on just taking her and going. I think it would be fun, and since she drives - we could split up the driving a bit, and besides - my grandmother is getting up there in age, I would hate to miss out on the few Christmases that we have with her. Allison worked last night until mid-night though, so she might be pretty tired? Then Josh could stay here and do whatever he needs to do. So, I am thinking I might do this? If so, I have to wake Allison in an hour so she can start getting ready... As we have to make it out of here at 8:30 to make it up there in time for the noon meal.
If we go - I hope to be home by dinner time.

January trip update...
Well, I've been steadily making FPs for our trip... I am very HAPPY to say - I was able to get 7DMT at 30 days out, with a bit of availability.

So, Allison will get the experience of riding it at night, at least once. I sure hope that 7:30 will still be dark?

I was trying to figure it out and I can't remember... Maybe I should go later? We will be at MK at 8am that morning for a PPO CP ADR... Then we have a 2pm lunch at BoG... I was thinking we'd leave the park after that - and come back in time for our 7DMT FP... That would give us a 5 hour break from the park... Any advice here? Should I go later with that FP?
UGH - I just noticed that AK opens at 8am on our day there.. So, my PPO at TH is burning valuable park time... This same thing happened to Swoozie and I, we may have to change times on that.

OK - I was able to switch it to 9am... So, we'll get in the park (hopefully) by 8am... Go straight to safari... Then have breakfast at TH - then go to EE, ride in single rider until our FP comes up.
I really should look at the park hours once in a while? LOL
Also - another quandry... Allison only has a 4 day park hopper, since it's a military PH - we cannot add days to it... We want to do 2 full MK days - which means we will have to park hop to see Epcot at some point... Maybe our AK day... I think our last FP there is at 3 pm... I could maybe make it earlier and then we could go back to the resort for a few hours - then hit Epcot for Illuminations and School Bread - as those are my only 2 objectives there this time... Soarin is closed for refurb and if we do TT - we can do it single rider... I think we could easily do these things in just a few hours - easily.
OK - I think that's about all for updates for today... FP availability seems to be pretty good so far for Jan - so there is hope that crowds won't be too bad.
Have a great weekend everyone! Prayers and good thoughts to all!
