GO O'S!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe I missed this thread till now. I am another die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan. I don't even want to discuss how bad we are this year. I will just post a picture of our beautiful new stadium with a view to our famous Arch.

GO METS GO!!! (at least for the next 3 days)
Ugh, I feel a little bit dirty having said that.
And can I just say how glad I am that Cards management showed enough faith in the team today NOT to unload a bunch of the higher-end guys? Much as this team has frustrated me this season, I still love 'em all.
I hope the Mets win tonight & tomorrow & the day after.....
Especially tonight, and that Glavine gets win #300 on his first try.
That would be very cool for Tom Glavine. I've been a fan of his for years. He's just a class guy all the way around.
And yay!! The Cards have actually won 4 in a row! I hope this doesn't mean that the Apocalypse is imminent.![]()
Mets beat the Brewers, Cubs win...so the Cubs are in first place!
Maybe there is hope for the Mariners after all. They did win yesterday despite their closer blowing the save.
If my math is correct, they're now only behind the Indians for the wild card right now by a 1/2 game.![]()

Hopefully for the Tribe, this is their one big losing streak for the second half and they can get past this quickly. They've blown a golden opportunity in that the Tigers have been losing more lately too -- they could have built up a lead.![]()
Another sign the Royals should be better next year: Buddy Bell is stepping down as manager at the end of this season.

OK-what has happened to the Tribe? I see alot of "L"s piling up all of a sudden. I don't get to watch the games since the networks believe everyone is a Red Sox fan nationwide, or we get the crappy Reds virtually everynight. Is this just a dry spell, or the late season collapse that we are getting used to?

I'm hoping it's a dry spell. With the exception of last night, it's been a problem with their bats going cold. Since their pitching's been pretty solid, I think they can get through this slump.![]()
