GO O'S!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I missed this thread till now. I am another die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan. I don't even want to discuss how bad we are this year. I will just post a picture of our beautiful new stadium with a view to our famous Arch.

The Cardinals may be bad this year, yet they just took 3 out of 4 from the Brewers. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: It doesn't matter how much a team stinks, all they have to do is play the Brewers and they'll look like a bunch of all-stars. :sad2: :sad2: It stinks being a Brewers fan, maybe some year in my lifetime they'll be good...

BTW, I like the picture of the stadium and the arch! So cool!

GO METS GO!!! (at least for the next 3 days)

Ugh, I feel a little bit dirty having said that. ;)

And can I just say how glad I am that Cards management showed enough faith in the team today NOT to unload a bunch of the higher-end guys? Much as this team has frustrated me this season, I still love 'em all.

I hope the Mets win tonight & tomorrow & the day after.....

Especially tonight, and that Glavine gets win #300 on his first try.

That would be very cool for Tom Glavine. I've been a fan of his for years. He's just a class guy all the way around.

And yay!! The Cards have actually won 4 in a row! I hope this doesn't mean that the Apocalypse is imminent. :scared1:

The Cards are scaring me too!!! I think I caught a glimpse of the Four Horseman myself.:rotfl2: You know we do live on the New Madrid Fault. Maybe the next big one is imminent.:scared:

Another sign the Royals should be better next year: Buddy Bell is stepping down as manager at the end of this season.

pfft. is it even a question who I root for?

Mets beat the Brewers, Cubs win...so the Cubs are in first place!

:woohoo:

Hopefully they can keep this going and I would have been wrong earlier. I really didn't think the Cubs would be able to keep it going.

Maybe there is hope for the Mariners after all. They did win yesterday despite their closer blowing the save.

If my math is correct, they're now only behind the Indians for the wild card right now by a 1/2 game. :headache: :headache:

Hopefully for the Tribe, this is their one big losing streak for the second half and they can get past this quickly. They've blown a golden opportunity in that the Tigers have been losing more lately too -- they could have built up a lead. :sad2:

Just checked the standings, your math is correct.

Lots of afternoon baseball, including the White Sox beating up on Roger Clemens.

What's wrong with BB? I thought the Royals were getting better.

Yanno... I go away on a short vacation only to get back and discover that the Tigers AND the Tribe have been losing every day. :mad: As a Tigers fan I just know that this is gonna come back to bite us in the rear.

ETA: Major congrats to the Cubs! I've been following them since teh Harry Caray/WGN days. I can't claim to be a full-fledged Cub fan, but it would be cool to see them win the pennant.

OK-what has happened to the Tribe? I see alot of "L"s piling up all of a sudden. I don't get to watch the games since the networks believe everyone is a Red Sox fan nationwide, or we get the crappy Reds virtually everynight. Is this just a dry spell, or the late season collapse that we are getting used to?

I'm hoping it's a dry spell. With the exception of last night, it's been a problem with their bats going cold. Since their pitching's been pretty solid, I think they can get through this slump. :)

With the rivalry of the Cubs and Cards there have always been sayings about the Cubs in St. Louis. No offense to any Cubs fans but we have t-shirts here in St. Louis that say:

C = Completely
U = Useless
B = By
S = September

Its all in good fun and everyone has a blast a Cards-Cubs games. I am sure the Cubs have sayings about the Cards. In St. Louis we wait to see what September brings with regards to the Cubs.:rotfl2:

It's only one game, but :cool1: the losing streak is over -- 5 - 0. :thumbsup2

I do believe this is the first time I've ever quoted myself, BTW. ;) :teeth:
