Congratulations. Boy you talk a lot :rotfl: :rotfl: And we would miss you if you didn't :thumbsup2

We do miss her when she isn't here to talk. At one point a couple of weekends ago we had the search dogs ready to go out for her!!:lmao:

It's almost 11:30 here, I guess that I'd better head to bed. I'm sure the boys won't let me sleep in :)

Hi Vicki. I'm glad you are there safe and sound.

Deb - since you still have some time to play with it, I would try Priceline. You can name your price for a van and then if it is accepted, you are good to go. But if it isn't you can't rebid until the next day. Then you can raise your price a few dollars and rebid. I've gotten great deals that way in the past.

I guess I'm off to bed. I keep bouncing from one car rental site to the next hoping to stumble on some amazing deal that isn't out there. I was suprised to call National today as the site wasn't working properly. The had a better minivan rate over the phone than online, but a better full sized SUV rate online that they could see over the phone? I guess it pays to call them too. Just another thing to do :lmao:

So is $313.92 a good rate for a full sized SUV for 7 days a good rate? It's the best I've found so far and we can pick up and drop off at the dolphin which is convenient. A mini van was $380.92 for the same dates. We need something big enough for 5 people and luggage/strollers.

That sounds pretty good to me but I also love our compacts!!

Speaking of that, this past weekend I finally broke down and told Bob of my addiction to you all. I laid it all out.....how I joined the DIS to research, eventually came across the design thread, met all of you through the internet, met some of you in RL at WDW and DC, etc etc. He didn't run in the other direction and completely gets it, or so he says. He's still calling me so I guess that's a good sign. ;)

Ohh, good idea, I hadn't thought about that before. I will need a rental car for about 24 hours before my cruise and 24 hours after and that is all. Transfers or anything like that won't work as I plan on driving over to UCF and meeting up with a bunch of friends and maybe doing a few other things.

Do you get to pick your rental company with Priceline or is it just whoever takes your bid? I have used it before but can't remember.

I think there's a selection box where you can choose the ones you want to deal with. But if you pick like the major 3, you get whichever accepts your bid.

Well, I'm back on page 7469. I'm falling asleep at the computer, so I'll try to catch up tomorrow. Try to keep the chatting to a minimum! Just kidding!!!

I'll see you in the morning!

I would say that's a good sign!! It could have gotten harder and harder to explain why all these nutty ladies are calling you at all hours!!

Hi Tammi, Glynis, Deb, Theresa and anyone else who may be lurking.

I just finished my last module for the semester. I still have my big final paper to do and my written final exam and I am finished for the semester.:cool1: :woohoo:

My right thigh looks completely black and blue as I had a pen explode in my pocket today. I wiped it off with alcohol but it is still there and all over my pants.

I should pack my car as I am leaving here tomorrow. But I don't wanna.

I am probably gonna stick around here for several hours and do some more sightseeing. I should go into work about 2 hours in the morning and then I don't have to be back at work till Saturday, since this week is considered a holiday for us. Then I have Sunday off.

I'll have to play with it, as I need to pick up at the Sanford airport and drop off in Port Canaveral, so I am not paying to rent and keep car at the port while I am cruising. If I recall correctly there were only 2 agencies which offered this the last time I cruised.

Good luck with it Becky.

I think I will be heading to bed too. Goodnight all.

Sounds like a good plan.

Have you had any leanings toward whether you are going to accept the job offer there??

I bought the tickets to get us down to Orlando....we had to add a day......have to go on Friday not Saturday...other than finding hotel for one night it's cheaper for us to go in a day earlier. Once again that's my story and I am sticking to it!!!:lmao:

There has not as of yet been a job offer here as they can't really do anything about the manager's position until she makes a decision of what she is doing which probably won't happen until the end of the 12 weeks of family medical leave. Which is like the end of May.

As they must be able to offer her an equal paying job when she would potentially come back. So it is a waiting game. Not sure if I would want it or not. I have my concerns about the assistant manager. Cost of living is very high and I have a hard time working when living so close to the beach as all I wanna do is be outside.

So once again I really don't know.

Hi everyone...Just got back from out cabin trip...here are some pics:

We spent Tuesday night in the Main lodge (Abe Martin Lodge) I felt like we had stepped back in time. Everyone was just so darn nice and hospitable.... Basically spent the day doing a few trails....horseback riding...It was Kirsten's & Christopher's first time...and amazingly Bill was brave enough to go too!! We drank coffee on the swing and watched the kids play in the field. I was shocked at how everything was already green & in bloom.

Wednesday & Thursday were spent at the cabin. Talk about beautiful!! It was extremely roomy and the kids had a blast playing in the woods. It was pretty cool to sit on the balcony & just soak in all the nature. 2 miles away was the cutest little town that had some quaint little shops (I was in my glory) Again the people were just so nice. More trails...a few of them were pretty rugged. As a matter of fact they had gotten some bad weather and at several points trees were blocking the trail & you had to climb through it all. Bill had quite the time...at one point I couldn't help but laugh at him. He was so pissed he didn't speak to us for 15 minutes!!

The last day we spent with Bill's son & family to visit the kids. We went to the Zoo for a few hours, and then back to their place. The kids are getting huge...you couldn't ask for a happier baby then Nathan. I have never seen such an easy going kid!!

Wow, you look great. :goodvibes Sounds like you had fun.:goodvibes

So today was the day for the bowling awards. This was much anticipate in our house. First up was the Bantams. Colby's team (and Summer's too) placed 4th out of 5 teams. All teams got a trophy so they were very pleased

Then came the Prep division

Yep, they took first place in their division. I think there were 8 teams. You should have heard the yelps that came out of those boys when it was announced. :goodvibes

Then it moved on to individual awards. We expected none this year. We were mistaken though

BowlingAwards014.jpg

Colby was taken by surprise when he won a trophy for Highest Game with a handicap his score was a 174 :thumbsup2

BowlingAwards016.jpg

Then again we were surprised
BowlingAwards018.jpg

When Colby won the most improved player award for Bantams
BowlingAwards017.jpg

His teenaged "friend" came over to congratulate him
BowlingAwards019.jpg

He had two teenagers that would come to his lane and cheer him on every time he bowled for the last several weeks. He was so small, the youngest bowler out there so he really won a few hearts this year and the roar of the crowd when he won brought tears to my eyes. He will also receive a new bowling ball and bag as a prize with the most improved player award. I guess it makes sense as he had a hard time getting the ball all the way down the lane for at least 1/2 the season and today he bowled his first strike. He has come a long way. He has also been asked to bowl in the state tournament in a couple of weekends. Nick and Hunter were already bowling in it so they knew he would be there.

OK enough bragging from this proud mom. I'm off to work.

Deb
Congratulations to all your boys.:thumbsup2

Deb, Congratulations to all the boys for the bowling!

Anne Marie, sorry to hear about Katie, hope she feels better fast!

Kristine, the vacation looked like fun, thanks for posting pics!

And now here is my completed project for today:

I am very pleased with how it came out, even though there are a few minor flaws that I don't think anyone else will notice... hopefully :teeth:
It looks lovely.:goodvibes I don't see any flaws than again I can't sew.
