Oh, Liesa your update once again is so brilliant!! I love all the pictures of the details - did you get the WDW Trivia book before or how did you find them? I have seen quite a few myself (like the Dr Root Canal :lmao:), but woud love to go on a scavanger hunt on my next trip.

When you mentioned Maroon Studios, I thought that Mary gave you a real phone call - but then I saw the sign you posted. I wonder wether there is any story behind why the studio in Roger Rabbit was called Maroon? Hmmm. Might have to look into that!

Liesa, I am really enjoying this report. I love the way it is written and the pictures of things I sadly don't take time to look make it even better. Reading this always makes me smile. I can't wait to see what happens next.

LOL!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Liesa-
Love your last 2 updates. I have no witty remarks... it seems your other groupies have taken care of those already. ;)

We DO have quite a witty bunch here- they are so fun to be a part of. Really, everyone's reports are great to read; it's the group sometimes more than the TR posts themselves that make them so much fun to follow!

Woohoo home from work and another star studded update. :thumbsup2
I do love all the little touches though. Like the names on the crates.:goodvibes

And Maroo studios!:lmao:

KIM

The more I started to really explore and not be so intent of racing to rides, the more I saw!! LOOK UP! Look down! It's amazing what little gems there are in EVERY park and resort!

mary is so funny!!! I wished I had seen it first! ;)

Liesa, you are really on a roll! :rotfl2: I enjoyed your day of Hollywood glamour! I heard your Limo and your back-up band were waiting for you over near the Hollywood Hotel. The gown looks perfect for your next period dance:thumbsup2

When I first logged in, I thought I saw , "Moron" there, and went back to read, thinking I would read a story about some crazed guest trying to steal the limelight! :lmao:

Two or three more posts left in my Day 1. A bit of dining, a bit of spectacle, and a little bit of Friends being friends.

See! It does look like Moron at first glance. I'm not the only one who thought that.

It does look GREAT for my next dance; except the next ball's theme is 7 Brides for 7 Brothers (same Regency Dancing, but Western costumes) We're going to spend Spring Break making our Regency dresses for the Count of Monte Cristo Ball in May.

Honestly, it's like you've been apart of this goofy group from the begining. This is one group that's easy to join in on and not feel like your an outsider, at least I hope we make it feel that way. Right Liesa? :goodvibes

Liesa, good going girl!! You got a lot of great pictures that you don't normally see on WDW TR's. Way to go babe! :thumbsup2

OK, my first attempt at luring you lurkers in came off as a bit harsh... Let me try again with a PRETTY PLEASE.

It IS easy to join in; and I WOULD BE TICKLED PIXIE DUST PINK IF MORE PEOPLE WOULD!!

HERE'S a public service announcment to all YOU LURKERS!!

Everyday, there are an average of 200-300 hits on this thread!!! That outnumbers posts by a staggering 190-290!! :scared1:

Do I need to come find you, and give you a spanking?? Come join in, and I promise we'll all be very, very nice to you. ::yes:: Consider this an engraved invitation... We all would love to meet you, find out where you're from, and enjoy your comments too!

Wow...in fairness to the lurkers, it can be intimidating to try and keep up with you all. I don't know how some of you do it... And all I have going on is a mostly wrapped up PTR! And one seventh of the kids you have, Liesa!

But, that is a staggering statistic.

Great update Liesa. I'm home sick today so it cheered me right up.

Nice pickup on the bust line there Glenn! :thumbsup2

What's even funnier is that Liesa took that photo series knowing exactly where we'd go with it. :lmao:

For anonymous internet Disney friends, you know us too well.

Great to be thought of while you're... sick!! :lmao: Hope you're feeling better of greatness of biscuits!

I did. You guys are the awesomest to play along with my silliness. I can always count on you. :thumbsup2

Love this update! This is the perfect example of why adults only trips to WDW are so worth it. I'd never get to take the time to really check out all the very cool but subtle details that make the parks so awesome when I have my girls dragging me on to the next ride. I've never noticed half those things you took pics of!

They so totally are! They have their place and time, and I can tell you I loved every minute- EVERY, every minute!! I really hope you can do one too, someday!

Hey quit calling Liessa names :lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: Good one, Rosie!

A thoroughly entertaining read over coffee this morning. Not a spewing moment. What great detail pictures! Sad that someone beat me to modifying Maroon....

And personally I'd vote for the Chronicles of Crapistan.

Then again, I'm still :rotfl: with the idea of guns and targets on It's a Small World.

I was surprised at how much is UP! I have no idea why I kept thinking to look up- maybe I was constantly checking the sky for clouds, but at every turn there was something fun to see. And yes, when I saw what mary had done, it reminded me that we have a couple more updates that need to be included withe Day 1.

Seriously, some day, I'd love to write a book about my Days in Crapistan. There's plenty of fodder for many chapters.

i enjoyed the update, you took the pictures of things that we know is there sub-consciously and just walk right on past...thanks for the photo tour i enjoyed it.

glad you liked it, Dan. You're right, we all know this stuff is there; it's actually a lot of what keeps us all going back, but actually taking pictures of it, is easier done on solo jaunts without strollers and big bags. Of course, it's also done with a better camera than the POC I had.

Reminds me of the old Police Squad gag:

Woman: Is this some kind of a bust?
Police: Yes, ma'am, it's very impressive. :rotfl2:

Stranger things have happened. When I make my home movi--er, uh, high-quality films, the logo of my company always graces the opening credits:

In other words it is a CARP Shoot !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Or you can always give them a whipping!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thanks Kathy for the picture... LOL My photobucket is all messed up today for some reason! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

You know what? I went back and read that, and it sounded kind of harsh, when it totally wasnt' meant to be AT ALL. I'll go back and re-word it so it is more light-hearted- the way it was supposed to be in the first place.

It is!! It'd be fun to have a whole bunch of them de-lurk and just say hi to see where they're from.

In other words it is a CARP Shoot !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ba-dum-dum!!! You're on a roll today, Rosie!! I saw his acronym immediately, but you were faster on the witty remark- KUDOS!! :worship:

Or you can always give them a whipping!!!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

YOU are exactly who I was thinking of when I posted that, Tim. I would have put that photo in, but was still frantically trying to get caught up on my replies. :scared1: I"m sitting here in Bek's community college cafeteria with my Netbook about to head out for some grocery shopping. But want to get caught up first.

Maroo Studios! I love it. Maybe you can hire Liesa for your first big film!

Do you think she would?? I'm not sure after my grand first stage entrance. :lmao:

I think targets on It's a Small World would be an excellent addition to the Fantasyland expansion. It would sort of even out all the extra princess stuff. :rotfl:

Liesa, I love seeing all the details of DHS. I can't believe how many things I walk right by and never notice!

It's unanimous, let's start a petition!!

I know!! But WDW lends itself to rushing, if were aren't proactive at seeing what's there!

What brilliant, forward-thinking, and amazinly creative mind came up with that? It's genius!

Oh! I didn't tell you all about the crystal ball I carried around with me on my trip?? It was just as important as the Mickey book!!

Gilligan's Island!

Sorry, I'm still going through quote-withdrawal.

Very good- <faint clapping sounds>

This is easier if you're a guy. The red ones are called "red flowers", yellow ones are called "yellow flowers", and so forth. :thumbsup2 You don't even have to know any shades of colors. Creme, ecru, vanilla = white.

[/COLOR]

So true. And even then you (men in general) could very well be off by a space on the rainbow. I dunno, Mike is constantly mixing up green for blue. :confused3

Reminds me of the old Police Squad gag:

Woman: Is this some kind of a bust?
Police: Yes, ma'am, it's very impressive. :rotfl2:

:lmao: (Yes, I have the sense of humor a 13 year old does.... still.)

You have to love a TR that can reference Albrecht Durer and make nose-picker jokes in the same entry. :worship:

This begs the question, of course, of what Disney boogers would look like. My guess is they'd be sparkly. pixiedust:

:rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I try my best. Hey! Do you think Albrecht picked his nose?? On that tour I took, his wife never mentioned it. ;)

Yes, definitely pixie dust, mixed with cash register receipt confetti.

Stranger things have happened. When I make my home movi--er, uh, high-quality films, the logo of my company always graces the opening credits:

I set 'em up, and Liesa knocks 'em down. :thumbsup2

Um...who was that Durer guy again?

Rosie came up with one I dont' think anyone can top. I'll leave that one to her. :worship:

We kept trying to get our kids to pull it, and they were chicken. Our youngest was the one who finally took the "plunge".

Are we still talking nose picking here??

Thanks Camille! Creative non-curse words are always more fun than the real deal, IMO. Since the one Geico commercial came out, I've been fond of using the word "jackwagon".

I am still very fond of darned-tootin!

:grouphug: Thank you. You've all made me feel very welcome, and so many of you were kind enough to read my TR as well. This group of TR regulars is very kind, sweet, generous, and has an amazing capacity to tolerate my stupid jokes.

We tend to flock together for our collective love to idiotic jokes. I think we all genuinely like each other too, which is a bonus for sure!.

YES!! I did have the trivia book and had read it several times before going. I had the 2 volume Trivia question/answer book (can't remember the name) AND the HIdden Magic of Disney book AND I had used this website and Allears to find the hidden gems that I wanted to look for. There were several I didn't get to, and will list those in a couple more installments.

I would LOVE to do a scavenger hunt- maybe the next trip with the kids, we can do something like that. They would really enjoy that with a camera.

No, she and I didn't really text or call much that day at all. Maybe only a couple times. But I did get several texts from others on the thread. Marv, Cynthia, and Camille all texted during my first day- that was so fun!!!

I wondered the exact same thing!!! I wonder if maroon meant something? MGM start-up studio? Something Walt had thoguht of?? I don't know!! :confused3

Liesa, I am really enjoying this report. I love the way it is written and the pictures of things I sadly don't take time to look make it even better. Reading this always makes me smile. I can't wait to see what happens next.

HI Tracy!! I"m so, so glad you enjoy it! I like your too, as they also are full of things I've seen rarely AND I love the perspective of your writing with Bill's challenges. See! So many angles at how a trip can work for just about anyone, in ANY situation- be it solo, with kids, with a wheelchair, with elderly, with ???

I have never seen Roger Rabbit.

I saw it only once about 30 years ago. Or whenever it came out. I remember it being very zany, but can't tell you squat about the storyline or plot. I do remember one quite voluptuous character who loved the rabbit. :confused3

You know what? I went back and read that, and it sounded kind of harsh, when it totally wasnt' meant to be AT ALL. I'll go back and re-word it so it is more light-hearted- the way it was supposed to be in the first place.

Oh, no...I didn't think it was harsh. Maybe because I've read enough of your TR to know your style. Did I sound harsh? But I know what you mean. Not that I have a fraction of that traffic on my PTR, but I sometimes want to walk up to total strangers on the street and ask them where they're from and what they're up to. :rotfl:

NO, not at all. And you're right. It does move fast. My hope is that everyone will feel welcome to just dive in wherever we are, even with the very last page or comment. I do that a lot with TRs I jump into, becuase I know it'd be hopeless to go back and try to read it all.

I guess, being a person who loves to know everyone's "story" I also want to help them fit in here and have fun.

So, I'll say it again, come, COME, One and All!! Enjoy the warm hospitality of a great group of friends :)
