I like naked guy. He might be cause for some entertainment. Like the youngest kit too and the military guy. None of the girls stand out for me at the moment.

This was one of more enjoyable "first episodes" in a long time. Usually everyone blends in on the first episode, but for some reason tonight it was quite easy to get to know them a bit individually. I noticed that they had them already divided into tribes right from the start. That alone saved a lot of time that usually gets taken up in the first episode, and I think that was a good idea.

I'm also loving the fact that it's filmed and broadcast in HD.

Good start. My favorites so far are the Army sergeant and the woman(Candace) who told Carolina how annoying she was being.

It is so surprising to me that after 17 seasons of Survivor these people still follow along with the same stereotypes. I knew they would pick the "old lady" as the one to go. Because she is older and female, she must be weak and of no value to the tribe. The one thing I have learned watching all these years is that you can't judge a book by its cover.

Some of the strongest looking, most muscular men have given the weakest performances...even dropping out of the game entirely. It's a shame that some people can't look beyond stereotypes to see that strength comes in all different forms.
And having said that, I'm sure I'm going to end up hating Coach. What was that he said about the weak ones have won in the past, now it's time for the strong to conquer??? Dude, I can't concentrate on what you are saying because I can't get past your mullet.

I thought Carolina was getting the "loser edit".

It was great how Sierra stepped up.

I liked the army guy. Coach talks a good game, but I could see him grating on his team if he tries to be a mastermind. I understand what he's saying about weak players, but what he really means is physically weak players--the mental side of the game is equally important.

I couldn't believe the black team got all the water and stuff. That could really come back to bite the red team.

I see the black team "whooping" the red team. Sandy is so annoying! She should have done something for the camp when she arrived. Get a few logs for a fire, something. She took the first vote way to personal. They know they have to walk 4 hours, of course they're going to vote out the one who appears the weakest.

I was so hoping they voted her out last night. It is not very often I don't like somone from the very start, but she is CRAZY. OMG! She's PO'd one minute and crying the next. It was the very first day!

Jeff was vey crlear to her that she had some convincing to do, so she goes and decides to screw her team by not doing ANYTHING at camp, while they just trekked 4 hours in 100 degree heat, so she could look for an idol that she can't find because she can't figure out what a PACE is????? Sandy, go home!

I really like Sierra. I just ticked me off that her team still was going to vote her off if they went to tribal.

Yes, Sandy is certainly annoying. And every time they showed her, I kept thinking "She's wearing dentures; I certainly hope they give her denture cleaning stuff/adhesive!" I know they don't give the survivors toothpaste/brushes, but what about denture cream? Can't you just see her dentures flying out during a challenge? (I apologize if those were her real teeth )

I think it was interesting how Sandy and Sierra chose to do different things with all their "free" time since they got to camp ahead of everyone. I could see Sandy's point - it was kind of obvious they were going to vote her out, why not spend the time looking for the idol. But she should have done something around the camp, building a fire pit or something. Sierra isn't going to last long if she's really that sick - strep throat, 102 temp.

I, too, like the army guy - if he's been in Afghanistan, he's used to heat and lousy living conditions, so he should do pretty well. Then again, wasn't he an officer and used to ordering people around? That might get him into trouble.

They started her on antibiotics, so she should be fine in a day or two. It was lucky that her tribe voted for her, the four hour hike would of knocked everything out of her.

I absolutely think Sandy made the right choice in looking for the idol. She was right when she said even if she would have done stuff they would have just complained that she did it wrong.

But HOLY COW She didn't know what a PACE was????? And she couldn't find the stick sticking out of the sand. And she didn't see the ONLY palm tree. She deserved to go home for sheer stupidity. Carolina was annoying and weak in the challenge but Sandy is crazy!

I didn't really form too many other opinions yet. I don't think I will like Coach though. And once again I wonder if these people have ever seen the show before, because most of them are clueless!
