Good morning everyone!

It's another beautiful day here. I'm airing the house out again. Carol is on her way to the hospital to get her chemo port implanted... so the fun begins.

I'm going to try to shovel out the house a little. My in laws called this morning to let me know that some distant relative of theirs is visiting from Minnesota this week and they want to stop by on Wednesday to show of the grandkids.

Morning all. :goodvibes

Doing okay. No news yet on the biopsy. I really think it it probably the 90 percent case of "nothing". When I met the radiologist and he said we could take pics in six months and see if it changes, I said"I have OCD. Six months is eternity. Do it now." I am glad I did. With today a holiday, I might not know anything for a few days. I am not worrying.
Thanks for good thoughts from you.

Marcie- sorry about the Packers.

Tricia- it is Giants vs. Falcons next week. We still gonna be friends?

Gemma- you haven't offed the roomie yet, have you? :wizard:

So, who's child has school and whose does not?
I remember years of having it off, or Veterans day or vice versa. It was always confusing......

Since we went to Orlando 2 years in row, I promised DH not next year. :magnify:

Are we planning a meet????????????????:cool1:

Maybe when we go to Tampa, I could drive , and accidently end up in orlando:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :lmao:

Penny, glad you are doing well :thumbsup2
Like you said, hopefully the results are nothing :)

My kids are off of school today as usual for the holiday. My kids also get veteran's day off, Martin Luther King Jr. day off, president's day off, the day after Thanksgiving off, and a bunch of institute days, and some day off called Records day- at the end of May. No, not spinning records :rotfl2: ,
so the teachers can finish their paperwork at the end of the school yr
I like teachers, but my school district has too many days off for the kids, at least in my opinion :rolleyes1

Hi to all!

Gotta get some things done today w/ the kids.

Greetings to all. My kids are out of school today as well, but since my two Ds are now 14, and 16 they never spend enough time at home now. They grew up so fast :sad2:. But when they come home later on in the day, and tell them that I planned our vacation to US/IOA again then they shall stay home more.

Things to do around the house now in order to get ready for the Cowboys tonight on Monday Night Football. Watch them go 5-0:banana:

Mornin everyone!

Tricia - I like my explanantion better, Teresa's just a "b". Hope you are feeling better this morning. Also wanted to let you kow that I checked out the link you posted and the area you live in is beautiful. My whole family wants to move somewhere around the Georgia/Tennessee border. It is such a beautiful place. Carol is in my thoughts & prayers. Stay positive.

Marcie - what happened last night. I hate it when coaches play not to loose. Brett did not look happy.

Has anyone seen Sharon around? Don't thik I have seen her post since her last college visit with her son. Sharon where are you????

My kids have school today but DH is home and in the way. Kids will be out of school Wed - Fri next week. They are already finished with their first 9 weeks. My how time flies.

Talk to you all later.

I hope they can tell you something about the biopsy soon... and that the news is all good!

Of course we'll still be friends. It's easy to stay friends with everyone this year because I know the Falcons probably don't have a shot at winning going into the games.

We never get Columbus Day off. It is a bank/post office holiday, of course, but schools are all in session. We get Monday & Tuesday off next week for no particular reason. :confused3

Hi neighbor! Well, you are closer to me then anyone else is! Can you believe the Cowboys? What a start they have had.

Well, yeah... you covered it with the "b"... ;)

We do live in a beautiful area and the crowds flooding in to check out the fall colors are enjoying it. The trees are barely starting to turn, but we're already getting the leaf lookers.

nice pic!

i've got youngest DS home from skool & DH off work too; no trolling the net today;)

lori - I like the "B" version :rotfl: . I don't have tivo; will probably forget to tape it - jik you haven't seen it - travel channel @ 4 pm est has a behind the scenes DL program. It's older - 2000-something; figure anything will help me plan out there at this point. Almost decided on HoJos-park view room (if they still have it open once DH gets his vacation request; should've had it by nowpopcorn:: )

tricia - good synopsis; any more & i would've been lost in the dust. Know lots of WDW guests over Presidents day were Daytona 500 attendees. Couple we talked to in very long line mentioned all the hotels were booked solid years in advance; so it's easier to stay @ a Disney resort & drive. Apparently, mostly the men-folk take the sojurn whilst the 'lil woman entertains the kiddos @ Disney.

penny - must be so hard to wait. Do you subscribe to travelzoo. Forgot to mention last week they had flights to the bahamas for $8 on spirit, I think (can you imagine the restrictions on that offer?)

rose - Phantom Fright Nights was a great deal of fun & bargin imo; even for those who just wanted to ride the coasters.

DM - sorry to hear that HHN wasn't quite what you had expected; hard to live up to previous stellar offerings I suppose.

Oh, yeah... Daytona 500 weekend is insane. The upcoming race is February 17th and it will be the 50th anniversary of the Daytona 500. Brad & I decided last year that we really wanted to go. We had to request tickets the day after this year's Daytona 500. Once we had our ticket reservations, we had to start trying to find a hotel room. Most people that attend the Daytona 500 do so year after year, so they book for next year while staying this year. The first hotel where we could even get a reservation was a Super 8... and they wanted $300 a night for the weekend. Excuse me? $300 a night for a crappy Super 8 Motel??? We finally got lucky and booked a Hampton Inn that is within walking distance of the track for $120 a night. It took a LOT of internet time and a LOT of luck for us to get tickets and a room... plus Fan Zone passes for the fun stuff. I know it's not for everyone, but I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Hi neighbor! Well, you are closer to me then anyone else is! Can you believe the Cowboys? What a start they have had.

How Bout them COWBOYS! yes, yes, great start for them this year. probably going to be the Cowboys against the Patriots in the Superbowl this year:cool1:

Well, see, it wasn't the Packers who lost last night because evidently they all went home at halftime! :confused3 Not sure who exactly played the second half, but I'm leaning towards alien body invasions! :rotfl: The Bears didn't "beat" the Packers (let alone kick their butts - Rose, were you there for the first half?), the Packers managed to do that themselves in the second half. FIVE turnovers (yes I realize 2 were in the first half, and I know who to blame for those)? 'nuff said - maybe it will make tickets cheaper and we'll be able to go to a few more games (look on the bright side?)

We don't do anything for Columbus day here. Don't know anyone whose kids are off or business off. However as I type this I'm guessing this means we won't get mail. Good thing I just rushed to pay 2 bills and write 2 letters - sigh!

cbdmhgp - good to see you around here - we need new faces! I think I remember you from a ways back but haven't seen you lately. If, however, you're new to the thread - insert lots of "welcome" dudes here! I'm glad to see some more folks with older kids - mine are 15, 14, and 12 and I'm not sure the 15 year old lives here any more for as often as I see him!

Penny - here's some pixie dust and well-wishing that everything works out well with the biopsy.

I'm going to enjoy our last day of 84 degree weather here this morning before heading to work - supposed to be 25 degrees cooler tomorrow! We've set records the last 3 days and may today as well. Guess reality has to set in at some point!

Oh, and I haven't gotten to talk to you much lately, so Hi Lori! :wave2:

Oh, and I just won tickets on ebay for the Michigan/Wisconsin game for DH and DS15! Woo hoo!

I say dump the DH and take me with you!!!!!!

Hi Marcie! Way to go on those tickets. What in the world has happened to Michigan this year? :confused3

My stinkin Sooners, who I love dearly, would now be #2 or possibly even #1 of they had not screwed up and lost to Colorado last week. They really should have prepared for Colorado that week, not Texas. :headache:

I say dump the DH and take me with you!!!!!!

Well... we have 2 other couples going with us. One couple is one of Brad's best friends & his wife... the other is one of my best friends and her boyfriend. Can't stand the boyfriend. If I can convince her to dump him, you are more than welcome to the extra ticket! :rolleyes1

Well guys, I never understand all this american sports talk.

Some news from here. Lately we've been staring and waving at the guys from across the road when we've been drunk/hyper and stuff. Well, last night I go to the loo and find a note on the floor by the door from the guys!! lol. They said hey and invited us out on Thursday and also claimed they are '24 hour party people' haha. We sent them a note back today saying we've enjoyed window stalking them and we are up for meeting up with them. woohooo.

Haven't killed the housemate yet, shes got a bit better though, although that may be because shes been away all weekend! lol.

Good to see you posting Gemma! Glad you didn't do your housemate in. Are you using your own internet connection yet? I haven't forgotten about your trip report. I'm just sayin... :rolleyes1

Now, if we can just hear from Barb to make sure she didn't do her boss in... popcorn::

Really glad nobody's been "done in";) yet...

hope mac has tales to tellpopcorn::

daytona should be a blast:thumbsup2 (you sneaking down the road to Universal:laughing: ?)

DH had mentioned bike week there:rolleyes1 Good thing the idea of a 20+ hour drive has lost it's luster now that we're over-the-hill; or he'd probably drag me down...not my cuppa tea. Really not a fan of huge crowds (even in the parks, especially on Main Street/Disney I always hope there isn't a stampede).

It's 90 here again today...if i could only bottle it.

Time to cook, again - 3rd time today...all they do is eat.:upsidedow
