Going to just do my TR on this thread so only the homies can really see it. Still using the randomers connection- I love them!

Want to know what I found out recently?? i live down the street from 2 known crack dens!! Scary or what!!

Okay- I read that thread. It will go even more downhill.
I can just see it.

Now, if we can just hear from Barb to make sure she didn't do her boss in... popcorn::

I'm here you guys...I am reading and keeping up...just not posting :rolleyes1 I sorry....I'm a bad friend.... :headache:

Well wishes out to those who are in need....welcome back cbdmhgp...good to see you back..hope you stick around :thumbsup2

I'm sorry I haven't been able to address everyone personally...but it was a busy weekend.

Spent most of Saturday shopping, and most of Sunday taking care of some stuff for work....just in case I need it ;) Then, a very good friend of mine called Sunday and we were on the phone for 2 hours...taped Desperate Housewives cuz we were on the phone (missed my workout too! :headache: ) Anyhow....was busy most of the day yesterday 'getting my ducks in a row', but i did read, just didn't post.... much forgiveness please :worship:

So, long story short....went to work, spoke w/ office manager for 45 minutes this morning when I got there and got some things "straightened out". Told them if they want me gone, they will have to fire me, cuz i refuse to quit. Amazing, the rest of the day was 'as usual' and the boss was like his old self with me (suddenly lost his attitude). So, I went in, (Mom took care of Bubba and took him to the dentist) I wasn't fired and I didn't quit. More later if I get the time to get "into" it..... But i will say, you don't count 2 snow days/school cancelled and Bubba sick twice as 'unexcused' absences....uh, hello....stuff beyond my control....duh...... So, that's where I stand with THAT...

will catch up soon.....haveta run......please keep yakin..... i look forward to it each day :goodvibes

DM - sorry to hear that HHN wasn't better for you. Maybe try and go again in a few weeks? Do they make some changes and adjustments during the course of the event?
I won't have another opportunity, and often the "adjustments" are for the worse.
DM - sorry to hear that HHN wasn't quite what you had expected; hard to live up to previous stellar offerings I suppose.
This is true. Also sometimes it seems like the Creative team was just Not Trying.

Has anyone seen Sharon around? Don't thik I have seen her post since her last college visit with her son. Sharon where are you????

I'm here! I have not been home much lately in the last two weeks. My mother in law is in the hospital. She has congestive heart failure and COPD(which used to be called emphasema (sp?) and bronchitis. An hour drive each way to visit her. It's day by day now, they are just giving her oxygen and morphine to keep her comfortable. Any of you out there who still smoke, quit now.
Thank goodness my kids are old enough to fend for themselves as I have not been home to prepare meals. Watching someone dying sucks big time. :sad1:
Off to work for a few hours, than it's my shift to sit with her for a few hours.
Talk to you all later.

allright Barb!

It sounds like you've got the work thing under control Barb. You still job hunting? :rolleyes1

I am SO sorry to hear about what you are going through with your MIL Sharon. My uncle died the same way and for the same reason. It is not pretty.

And, oh, the joys of yet another WDW Fast Pass system for onsite guests thread. Thanks for the link Todd. Didn't take the Mod long to yank that one off the TPA&S board and toss it to the Rumors page.

Hi to anyone else I missed. I'm battling another headache, so that was all I could see from scrolling back on the post reply page.

Oh Sharon, how hard it must be for you & DH.:grouphug: I'm one of those ex-smoker types. Took several false starts; finally quit - it's been almost 10 years for me.:) everytime i get stressed still jones for one though. While they say your health/lungs rebound quickly; i found out it's not necessarily the case. Had to have a chest Xray before surgery about 5 years after I quit. The techs basically said it appeared as though i smoked 3 packs a day:rolleyes1 . At my worst, never more than a pack & a half. Dr. said not to worry, some of our lungs take longer to clear. So for the rest of you...

don't start smokin' either!

barb - hope the good vibes continue @ work. In our skool district, they set forth all the asinine rules in a handbook that they distribute in a CYA fashion. When youngest DS went thru all the medical rounds 2 years ago due to condition he developed from foot fx; they weren't particularly understanding. I'd try & schedule the invasive tests as late in the day as possible and always got dr's excuses. Found out that you only have 2 days to present the excuse or it's cosidered unexcused & goes onto the perm. record. Additionally, 2 early dismissals count as a whole day of absence. More than 3 & you get a summons to the magistrate. Administration tells me it's all about the district losing compensation from the state due to student absences:mad: . Of course, it's okay for me to write an excuse & drag my kid out for a family vacation as long as i fill out the proper forms ahead of time. bizarre imo

i'm pissy today (what a surprise:laughing: ). Broke off a molar last night, miserable night spent ripping my tongue apart on the sharp remaining shred. Waiting for dentist i am making rich to call me back for appt. (as the receptionist said "...are you sure it's an emergency..."):headache:

might as well go read todd's link, hopefully i can keep my sore tongue in cheek.

doesn't someone root for the cowboys - what a win

have a good one.

Did you reach through the phone and slap her silly?

Hi all! Sharon - wow, I'm sorry to hear that. I can't even imagine how hard that must be. When we had to put our cat down last April we talked about how much harder it would be with a person because a) obviously it's a person, not a cat, and b) you wouldn't have the option when things got really bad to put them to sleep (and have everyone tell you you're doing the right thing). You'd only be able to watch them suffer and not have any option. Hope that made some sense! Anyways, pixie dust for you and MIL!

Okay, it's time for the pictures I promised! DS15 driving (with Dad) to Homecoming for pics at GF's friend's house:

GF and her mom trying to get his boutonaire (sp?) on - evidently this caused a great problem:

All the girls (including those without dates and older sister and her friends):

Enjoy!

Wait... the guys get to go to Homecoming without putting on dorky tuxes? How'd they get away with that? How can you blackmail them later without tux pics?

I love the picture I have of my brother from the mid 70s in a powder blue, wide collar, black satin edged tux... complete with ruffle shirt... :lmao:

Yeah - DH was asking DS what he was wearing, and then what GF was wearing. He asked whether it wouldn't be respectful for him to at least wear a tie, if not a jacket, if she was wearing a gown. I quickly pointed out that GF had picked out DS' clothes for him (at least a month before the dance). DH was like "Oh, why didn't you just say that!" Last big school dance (Sno-Ball back in Feb.) he wore a jacket and tie and evidently ended up running them to his locker to "hide" them since he was one of the only "dorks" wearing them!

Edited to add a pic of DS in his "dorky" jacket from last Feb. GF is the one sitting on the very left in the royal blue - this was about a week before they started dating and he was actually at this dance with one of the other girls:

marcie -
Great pictures!! There will be proms for tuxes - can't wait to see those ones as well!!

Sharon -
I am so sorry that your family is going through this rough time, you all will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Janet -
I cannot stand the dentist. I have a huge fear of someone messing with my mouth.....get all sweaty and shaky when I take the kids every 6 months. Hey, they deserve great teeth, I can always get falsies :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah I know...and there was already another thread on the Rumors Board for the same thing. :rolleyes1

Great pix Marcie....I remember my homecoming dance and it's a night to forget. My date was sick with a cold and then I got sick the next day. The dinner was lousy and it poured with rain all night. I didn't even go to the prom.

Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and hijack the thread for a minute! You all talk way too much for me to keep up with it all! But I just needed a few minutes with Universal homies - I sure am missing MIB these days.
