Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and hijack the thread for a minute! You all talk way too much for me to keep up with it all! But I just needed a few minutes with Universal homies - I sure am missing MIB these days.

You don't have to keep up. We DO yak a lot, so we don't get our feelings hurt if somebody misses out on whatever was said by whomever last week. Did that make sense? Anyway, feel free to drop in and chat anytime!

Well, gang... it looks like all my troubles are behind me... I just got email notification that I am a winner in the Microsoft Mega Millions Jackpot! This is not to be confused with the UK Lottery that I won last week... or the offer to launder money for the Prince of Kazacrubakistan for a hefty profit. I think I need to check my Spam filter again.

Carol is on her way to the hospital. She had the port implanted yesterday and started the two kinds of chemo today. One is administered by IV at the Cancer Center, the other is attached to the port and is administered round the clock. She called me a few minutes ago to say that the port is LEAKING! So, she has to drag her sick, chemo filled tushie down to the hospital to have the radiology dept fix her port. Like she doesn't have enough to worry about.

Evening everyone! Got back from PA yesterday and am fighting a wicked cold. But on the bright side, my tooth is feeling a heck of a lot better. But still gotta get the root canal on Sat....

Well can't stay on that long because I have to finish up some course work.

Going to try and finish that mini-trippie tonite.

Pretty busy day for me today.... not with work, but other stuff. Ordered Bubba pj's today for winter (he's gotten the last 2 or 3 years out of these, and they are finally too small).... so, got some online from LL Bean...free shipping, couldn't beat it. Been hot here too , but going to cool off...had t-storm tonite and I drove home from work in a monsoon tonite...(almost got the oar outta the trunk! ) Saturday is gonna be a 'running' day...too busy to go to work Oh well..... office job tomorrow....outta be interesting....still there...we'll see for how long Not sure if I'm still job hunting...my hours are restricted, so not too flexible there, so it might be tough....I can stick it out. I haven't done anything wrong and if they fire me, I will win unemployment...and I think they know it...so, ball is in MY court...(so to speak)....

So Cowboys are undefeated.....IF they play the Pats in the Bowl, they have a good shot of winnin'....with the Pats revealed as cheaters and all..... ooops! Did I say that out loud???

Eagles were on the bye this week....so I didn't keep up.....glad Penny does it!!! Not a NASCAR fan either (well, if you're talkin' NASCAR fan of the eatery in UO, then yes, I am one....but cars circling the track...um...not so much), so I can't contribute to that conversation.....

Guess I'm pretty good to go now.....be good to have Macraven back..... can't wait to hear the stories..... And, can't wait to see her pix

Okay...time to hit the hay....hope to be around tomorrow....

But, I will leave you with a Bubba story.....

I cleaned the bathroom this morning before my shower. After I got home from work, I noticed the bathroom trash empty. This is one of Bubba's chores, but it's a "Monday" chore (cuz trash goes out Monday nite). I find this odd and ask him about it. He said, "It's Monday, I'm supposed to empty it." I told him, "No, it's Tuesday. You're confused cuz you were off skool yesterday." He says, "Well, that explains why there wasn't much silverwear to empty." Well, emptying the silverwear is also a "Monday" chore (because dishwasher is usually full Sunday nite and I run it while we sleep). So, he put the dirty silverwear away today thinking it was clean Not THAT big a deal, cuz it was only dirty from yesterday (hence, the "not much" comment) and I usually rinse it before I put it in there. Still, I went thru it and pulled out what looked dirty..... At least it's only OUR germs

It's hump day

face hurts, another medicated filling - dentist sez he can save the tooth, not sure if he's going to do a root canal or not before the cap. Evidently, the fact that i'm not sceaming in pain is a good omen. The hygentist looked @ tooth & said why didn't i call the afterhours emergency # . I get to go the the dentist twice next week - whoppeee!

Kfed i'll be thinking of 'ya; blondie's not sure if you have another TR?shall search 'er out.

tricia - when it rains, it pours; glad sister still has remnants of a sense of humor.

barb - glad to her mac's home and she didn't forget about us holding down the fort. Did you order the jammies with footisies in them (think ralphie in Xmas Story). I was looking @ the llbean site last week. had a couple nifty travel wallets to hold tix/passports; already have an American Express one; think i may get one for DH & insist he hold his own id. We took the passports to FL for the 1st time last June & it was the ONLY time DH/DS didn't get drug off for special security ...same name; evidently on watch list. (i complained in the past & was told to be glad they weren't on the 'no-fly list')

marci - awww, very nice pics; everyone cleaned up purty! Girls look like princesses.

Still don't have the card reader up & running; for some reason could only post thumbnails from photobucket ; better than nothing i suppose-get out your spectacles.

Katie - Good luck with the root canal. I'm enjoying the TR. I haven't been to DC since I was in high school.

Barb - Poor Bubba. He thought he was doing the right thing. I've been through the "sort the silverware and see what looks clean" thing. Daniel loves to take the silver out and dump it in the drawer. Clean... dirty... at 2, who knows the difference?

Janet - LOVE the hair! Nice pics from the confirmation too. Glad everything worked out there. Between you and Katie, you've got the dentists hopping!

So, the latest from Carol...
She went to the hospital last night and the radiology staff at that time was *ahem* unable to stop the leaking. Ummm, hello? Chemo is leaking all over her? This can't be good! She finally got fed up and told them to disconnect everything and turn it off. She arrived at the Cancer Center this morning with the pieces of her "chemo to go" and said, "Okay, guys... wanna fix this mess?" It has been a rocky start to an already nightmare process.

I'm trying to get some cleaning done. I did get the vacuuming done last night because I have to do that when Brad is home. Daniel is petrified of the vacuum cleaner for some reason at the moment, so one of us has to entertain him while the other one vacuums. Otherwise, I wind up holding him WHILE I'm vacuuming... and that is just NO fun. I'm trying to give the impression to the in laws friends from Minnesota that we don't live like pigs. We'll see if I can pull it off...

Tricia, Im still thinking of your sister, the hospital have royally *beeped* up there, havn't they!! Just keep reminding of all her fondest memories and keep her comfortable.

Barb- I laughed when you said I must be doing uni work because I was only on in the weekends- lol!! Yes, Ive been going into uni but thats about it so far. No coursework and such yet.

Out tonight again, another friends birthday (and no, these aren't just excuses! lol) Actually very excited! Bought another new dress (tell me to stop spending so much money!!) and a new pair of shoes but the shoes don't fit, so gotta take them back and get a size bigger. Grrrr- really wanted to wear them tonight!!

The Pride of Britain awards are on tonight. Not sure if you get something similar but basically, once a year, ordinary people get awards for doing extraordinary things. There are those that have won awards for saving others lives, bravery, kids who have a terminal illness but have remained strong, kids or teenagers who have been their parents carers for one reason or another, those who have stuck up to yobs on the streets to protect others, those who have fought hard to change laws for the better of everyone else and loads more. Every year I watch it and cry my eyes out!! It's so sad!! All the celebs are there to present awards and they cry their eyes out and tell these wonderful people that they are so honoured to meet them. So nice!!! Every year I watch it, Im so proud of Britain- thats why they call it The Pride of Britain awards!!

Well, the in laws and company came and went. I guess I passed inspection.

I'm counting the minutes until Brad comes home so I can do the tag team parenting thing ("Hi Honey. Tag. You're It."). I wish I could collapse, but I think I have to get some bookkeeping done tonight. That end of the month/end of the quarter stuff is still sitting here on the desk.

Life here is very busy around here. Ally is now playing soccer & basketball at the same time. Both leagues have games in Saturdays. BBall is going to try to work around her soccer schedule. She now has practice on Monday, Tuesday & two at the same time on Thursday. I went to soccer practice on Monday & it is a complete waste. The coach has absolutely no control. Guess she will just miss Thursday soccer practices, especially since daddy is coaching bball team. Of course Michael still has two weeks of baseball for the fall so we are going in different directions.

Hope I didn't forget anything. I think I have caught up for the most part. I have read all the pages I missed while I was awol. Pleae forgive me if I forgot anyone.

It's good to have some good news around here for a change!

Lori - good to see you back! Your schedule sounds like ours, although soccer ends in another week and things should become a bit easier. I just saw signups for basketball for DS12 and am tempted to just "forget" about them. But I'm also a bit afraid that once Stephen's play is over and he and Eric are home alone each day for 2 hours before I get home from work that they might kill each other! We'll see!

Welcome home Mac! We can't wait for all the gory (pun intended!) details! We may be heading down to Six Flags again the last Saturday in October - I'll keep you posted! It would probably be me, DS15 and his girlfriend, and DS14 and one of his friends. DH and DS12 will be in Madison.

Tricia - I don't even know what a port is. And I thought chemo was something they "did" at the hospital, not something you brought home with you? Guess I really don't understand it much at all! Either way, it sounds like it's not off to a good start. Hopefully it has to improve from here!

Gemma - I also haven't heard of any shows like that. Sounds nice to have a show with a positive theme! Great to hear about things like that. And I agree - aren't you supposed to be studying?!
