MDE is saying 30 min wait right now. I refreshed it a couple of times to make sure. I can't believe they wouldn't have the ride as being temporarily closed or whatever the app usually says when a ride goes down.

EMH is until 2 am tonight.

EMH guests are queued to a 30 minute wait and are yet to be let inside the actual queue. Ride was cleared by Fire Department that it was all superficial and no structural damage occurred. So no it didn't collapse. Ride will be open in 15-30 minutes.

Then you and I must be looking at different apps, because the My Disney Experience app on my phone is showing it's closed.

Weird, my MDE (and several other apps) show the ride as Closed. Maybe a glitch in the system since all of us are hitting it at once as we check to see if 7DMT is up and running.

Well, not serious because apparently no one was hurt but when any part of a ride catches fire that seems like a big problem.

Hopefully this is all good news and the ride will be back up & running sooner rather than later. Originally someone had claimed the structure was collapsing and I was fearing the worst but this is a bit reassuring.

There are some really sanctimonious people here on the DIS! I got called out for bemoaning the possibility of not being able to finally ride this next June. You know Disney has a new ride about once a century and the one new one they have caught on fire. I made this comment after several posts saying that everyone has been evacuated safely.
