Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

I have just finished a three-night Club level stay at the Yacht Club. It was a taste test. The family has been Magic Kingdom area stayers since the 1970s. But after a couple trying and tiring years, I am in the midst of a solo trip. In planning it, I thought, well, what the heck. Oh, my! Okay, I’m sold on the YC! They gave me a room with the Lighthouse view. It was quiet, well appointed and comfy even though you may need a ladder to reach the top of the bed! I thoroughly enjoyed the offerings of the Regatta Club. But, it was the kindness of the cast members that really stood out. They made everything so easy and happy. The YC really was a calm oasis in a pre-Christmas squall of craziness. I think even that short stay rescued me from a funk of exhaustion! Being able to walk to Epcot wasn’t bad, either!
Glad to hear you had a wonderful stay. It’s my favorite resort and definitely the CM’s starting with Hyacinth to the rest of the staff certainly make it special. Any different offerings that stood out? I heard that mid day offerings included mini wraps sandwiches. My next stay is December 2026 and I’m looking forward to that.

Yes, they had a variety of mini wraps, including baby Reubens, and baby chicken salad. I was taken with some of the details in the offerings. During breakfast, at the Greek yogurt station, a luscious local orange blossom honey was available. It may seem a minor thing but it elevated the whole and I am trying, and failing, to find it elsewhere. I hope your next stay is tasty and wonderful!

Just back from my first stay at Beach Club - was just a 3-night trip to attend Jollywood, MVMCP and Festival of Holidays at Epcot. We didn't take the time to enjoy most of the resort amenities, instead choosing this resort for proximity to Epcot.

My only room request was room ready before 3pm (we arrived at MCO around 10am). I got a notification that our room was ready before we were out of the airport, but the bigger surprise was location. I couldn't have requested a better spot for our purposes...room 3521. We had a full balcony, view of the quiet pool but the big thing was being at the very end of the building that is closest to the International Gateway. I don't think it was more than 200 steps to the gate.

Can't wait to go again in the future!

Branded slippers now available in the rooms? All rooms? Saw this post from Disney Tourist Blog. In the comments looks like both regular and club-level rooms (at least at Beach Club) but that seems almost overly generous for Disney, LOL. I'd guess almost certainly not in DVC rooms. I wonder if only for certain guests? Has anyone seen? Per the article, available in Grand Floridian as well, but that sounds like club-level only.

As of Saturday they weren't in the non-club rooms at the YC (or at least not in ours). They had these, or something similar, back in 2023 in CL at the BC. I know this is a small thing, but I loved the resort specific slippers from CL! ETA - yes they had the RPC ones at the GF last week. Those obviously came home with us :rotfl:
