Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Hi to all my Sassy Friends!!!!
My apologies for being away so long. I'll give you the run down on my activities and Astro's...
Last weekend was our 20 year high school reunion.
DH and I graduated together in a small class of 94. We went to the couples dinner on Saturday and the family picnic on Sunday. It was nice to see people. But I was secretly thrilled that I wasn't the only one that got Fat.... 
Even that group of girls that thought they were "all that", now found out they are like the rest of us.....
Volleyball is really fun, but I have to learn to accept my age. I tried to run sprints with the girls Monday and forgot my center is drastically different than 20 years ago, and I ended up crashing to the gym floor right on my shoulder!!!
It hurt so bad I ended up going to the trainer, but fortunately I just sprained it. So I have been sore and tired all week.
A funny Atlas story...
This week we were in the garage/shop and that is where Atlas is tied when he is outside. One of DH's shop chairs (small stool with wheels) was near enough that Atlas walked around it and got his long chain around the base. As he strolled toward the garage door, the chair began to "chase after him." As he tried to run away, the chair picked up speed too. The look of sheer terror was on his fuzzy face -- the chair was "trying to kill him"!!!! He ran out into the stones and the chair was hot on his trail and it got on its side in the stones, but still was coming after him!!! DH got to him as he ran out of chain and got the chair away from him. Maverick just about peed himself because he was laughing so hard! It was the funniest thing I have seen in a while.
Needless to say, we didn't hear much barking during the next hour as Atlas was either still scared or embarrassed....
I've also been busy at work getting ready for the start of classes, which is Monday. Maverick goes back to school Wednesday.
We also went to Hersheypark last week -- it was a good time as usual. Until it rained!!! That seems to happen every time we go and get to the water park area. We were there 11 hours and were exhausted but happy!! Hersheypark Happy.... Have you ever seen their commercials?? They sing the "hersheypark happy song"...
Judi -- glad to hear you like the new oncologist. I hope you and your mom are having a good day.

Good evening Sassies! Today consisted of running errands. Got to Old Navy for the $7 jeans deal and stocked up for the boys and Brian. It felt like Black Friday, I guess it was a good warm up for that shopping day!
Wilma, have you caught up on Project Runway? Last weeks was so great, I loved it!

Judi, glad you liked moms new oncologist. He/she sounds like they will be better for her. Oh and I was told don't even think about it on the shoe business. I'm going to start a jerky business instead. I'll find my millions one way or another!

Julie, is it Atlas or Astro? Now I'm confused or are there 2 different dogs? Glad you had a good time at your reunion. My 20 year is next year, I don't know if I want to go or not. I see the people I want to from high school, but it may be fun to see if the popular clique got fat. Maybe worth a trip after all!

I'm going to Disney in 26 days! I haven't even been thinking about it! I need to get my booty into gear and make sure I don't need to be making new purchases!

Just one dog, and his name is Atlas. I don't know why we sometimes refer to him here as Astro -- code name from the Jetsons. He does seem like he is from outer space...
Hope your 20 year reunion turns out as entertaining as mine....

I had an upside down banana boat and now I wish I hadn't...(lactose)... But it sure was good eating it....
This is pool closing weekend here... Hope to have it finished tomorrow.

I emailed the teachers. Brendan's knew last year that we would be taking him out. He has the same teacher for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. He's a Disney nut so he's excited he's going. Justin's teacher won't have a problem either. Our school is really easy going about it. I just call them and tell them they won't be there and why, no questions asked!
