Sassy Somethings - Happy November

Hi hags! :yay:

Six Flags kinda sucked. :rotfl: It was so hot and smelled like serious B.O. and was filled with teenagers who cussed up a storm. There were some fun coasters but Ainslee was not tall enough for some of them and she was devastated. she can ride everything at WDW (48" height requirement), but some of the six flags coasters have a 54" min height requirement and she's not that tall yet. And there were a few rides that Caitlin was too scared to ride. Ains was like, "Mommy this place is for big kids over 10, not for little kids who are only 7." True dat. We also spent a lot of time waiting in line for the concert and then attending the concert. So after the concert I told them they were the bosses for the rest of the time and we'd do what they wanted to do, so they chose the water park. So we go clear back to the locker to get our swim suits on and head over there. Only to discover that the water park area had closed 15 min. prior. :( Poor Ainslee and Caitlin, it wasn't much fun for them.

So THEN, on the way home, our car breaks down! Not fun being stranded in Maryland on the side of the road with three kids. We had to call AAA and get towed to Alexandria, where Brent met us and drove us home. So lame.

The cool thing though is that we saw Kim (the lesbian) from America's Next Top Model! That was fun, I love that chick. Also saw the band members from the concert throughout the park, always escorted by security and being mobbed by fans. The groups were Katy Perry, Metro Station, Boys like Girls and one more which I am forgetting. It was exciting to see them, Heather was loving it.

Ok, I am finished being Eeyore! I just know that today will be an excellent day! It has to be better, right?

How are you girls doing? What's new with everyone?

Shirley, prayers being said for you and your grandson. Keep us posted, okay, hag?

Bonnie, sorry it wasn't the greatest day with the girls. Wants me to come drive ya around til your car is fixed:flower3:

Shirley, hope you got a little more sleep last night.:grouphug:

Good morning sassies!

Judi I somethings answer myself. Is that bad? :rotfl:

Bonnie I'm sorry you had such a rotten day yesterday. I love your attitude for today. Yes, it's got to get better!

Did ya'll see our little American gymnasts last night? They took the Gold and Silver on the blance beam.

I missed Big Brother last night. As soon as the kids go to school I'll watch it online. I just love that you can do that. :cutie:

Shirley I'm thinking of you and your grandson. Any news? I pray he'll come home soon.

Morning Heather, Becca, Wilma and Shannon.

Good Morning Tricia

Have a fun Wednesday. It's a whole 42 degrees up here. This is far too cold for August.:)

Oh Judi. I think another chat with Mother Nature is in order. Clearly she's got her seasons all mixed up.

Good morning, Sassies! This Re-Entry thing is a pain. I have finished the laundry and stocked the house with "school food". School is starting today, but not for BamBam. Poor littel dude - he's got a nasty virus. Coughing, wheezing and throwing up. The wheezing is the worst - we even had to fire up the nebulizer which we have not had to do in a coon's age. What a way to start the year!

Bonnie - what a bummer of a day! It sounds like almost nothing went your way I had heard that park was a little rough around the edges, now I know not to go. What's up with the car? You are right, things must improve today:) .

Judi - 42 degrees is in no way August. I'll speak to the Big Man Upstairs about your heating issue!

Tricia - I am behind on BB too - we missed a whole week while away. I still haven't picked out anyone I really want to win! What about you?

Shirley - I am so sorry about the boy. Any word yet?

Hi Heather, Becca, Julie, Shannon and Sarah!

Good Morning everyone!

We have been busy watching Olympics so I haven't had much computer time.

Joey is going through a wake up in the middle of the night thing and is driving me crazy. The other night I let him stay in my bed, hoping I could actually get some sleep. He lie there (or is it lay there? I never can remember:upsidedow ) fidgeting when all of a sudden his daddy started snoring a little. He turned to me and asked in an amused voice "Mommy....what is daddy doing?" I cracked up laughing and he started giggling.

I said Daddy is snoring cuz he is tired and sleeping. Then Joey started making his own snoring noies and laughing like a loon. I had to put him in his own bed after taht because we were disturbing Scott:rolleyes1

Now JOey is walking around telling everyone "Daddy was going *insert snoring noises here*":lmao:

I hope everyone is having a great week.

Congrats on the surprise WDW trip, Wilma....and sorry BamBam is sick. What a bummer to miss the first day of school.

:grouphug: Bonnnie sorry to hear that you had a bad time in six flags and on the way home too. judi BURRRRRRR I know what that cold weather is like when we are North.
Danny is home for now....Beth went and picked him up last night and told him he is only 17 and needs to come home and work things out. He is so defiant that he will take off again and never get things worked. DH and I went over to see if he wanted to come over and just chill out with the old folks. Nothing said about his problems and no?????asked. But he said no maybe tomorrow.
He is really messed up and needs help bad, wish there was an easy answer. thanks to all of you Gals for saying prayers and thinking of us. Shirley

Shirley, Thanks for letting us know. I'm so glad he's home.
You'll get it worked out, I'm sure.

Please try and get some sleep tonight.:cloud9:

I like mine on the rocks-no salt. How would you like yours ladies? And yes Becca-I only use Cuervo Gold. :teeth:

Hello Funky Bunch!

Angie--- I'll take 2 please!

Shirley-- I'm glad to hear your grandson is back, but sorry that he is having/causing so many problems. 17 can be such a rough age for some kids.

Wilma-- Poor Bam-Bam! (and poor you!) Ya think it was the dreaded WDW gift that keeps on giving? Welcome back from your vacation-- it sounds amazing! Mr. FoP is a keeper!:thumbsup2 Now get back in that laundry room!:laundy:

Judi-- I hope the weather gets better! It's too early for snowsuits!

Bonnie--I am soooo sorry about your day! Sounded sucky! And Heather said the towtruck guy smelled like "poop and B.O." Niiiiiice. :rolleyes1 I wanted to warn you about Six Flaggs, but it's really one of those things you have to experience first hand to understand. You would've thought I was exaggerating! That place is SKEEVY. First time we went there, there was a shooting in the parking lot.

We never would've gone back except that Ryan's company rents it out every year for the employees and their families. Even that was bad! It was nice having just employees & their dependents there, but the place was filthy (my khaki shorts were black by the end of the day) and they ran out of food. And, as Ainslee found out, they have overly ridiculous height restrictions. Reece was 9 and couldn't ride Superman or the Batman ride!!!! The child has been on every coaster at KD, Busch Gardens, and WDW! He was upset! This year, the comp. rented out Kings Dominion Sept 14th, which should be much nicer.

Anyway, I've been busy w/ Dr. appts and cleaning & packing for our last-hurrah beach vacation. We leave Sun, and it couldn't come at a better time. I think DH is reaching critical mass at work-- the man is a walking ball of grump. When we see him, that is!!

Hi everyone else!:wave2:

Bonnie, been meaning to ask, how does the oil facewash work:confused:

Happy Thursday Sassies! I'm loving these cool nights and comfortable days. I think we are going to get an early fall though, but its almost time for the kids to go back to school so its all good.

Tonight we are going tubing with some neighbors on their new boat. The boys can't wait!

Shirley, glad Danny is home.

Wilma, poor BamBam. Hope he's feeling better soon. Missing the first day of school is never fun!

Bonnie, sorry that SF wasn't fun. There is one near Chicago that is kind of nasty too, we haven't been in years because of it. Hope you are feeling better!

Shannon, hope you have a great time at the beach if I don't talk to you before you go. We are heading to the beach for the day on Saturday. We live so close to Lake Michigan we drive over several times a summer. Its like the ocean with none of the biting or stinging things. Plus you don't have to rinse salt water off which is never fun!

Judi, hows the job hunt?

Angie, hows the back? Has dh had any luck on the job front?

Hi Heather, Tricia and Julie!

Sassies!! :yay: How are ya today?

I am sick with some kind of virus. I've had it for a few days now and it makes every little problem or glitch seem worse than it actually is. Everyone is buggin' my nerves! Soooo achy and tired and have a headache. No other symptoms. I sleep a lot (even naps during the day) and just never feel rested. Me no likey. I want it gone! :sad2:

Today I have to take Caitlin to her hair appt. so since I'll have a 3 - 4 hour wait, maybe I'll get some of Breaking Dawn read. We'll see! Got my car back last night from the shop. Runs good now! $600 later.

Hi everyone else!:wave2:

Hi shannon! How are ya, lady? Heather just loves babysitting for you! She loves Reese and Riley!

Are you getting excited for your vacation? I hope you have a fabulous time! Bring me back a seashell, hag!

Bonnie, been meaning to ask, how does the oil facewash work:confused:

Hi Judi! Oil facewash actually works pretty well. But I think I still prefer my Philosophy stuff, even though it is expensive. But I may go back on the oil later on.

What's new with you? how is Barbara?

Hi Heather, Tricia and Julie!

Becca! How was tubing? I have not done that in like 8 years. It's a ton of fun though! An early fall sounds fabulous! Being hot sucks! How are you doing?

Shirley, I'm glad Danny is found. :dance3: How are you doing, lady? :flower3:

Hi Angus! Let me know if you need someone to come out there and kick Gertie's ****. I'm in the right mood for it!! :furious:

Wilma, when do you return to pre-school? We start Sept 2nd. Our back to school orientation is next Tues so I gotta get ready for that!

Hi Tricia, Heather and Julie!

gm22.gif

Mom and I both like the new oncologist we met Tuesday. We now have an appt. with a nutritionist and a CT scan lined up. He is quite honest but kind.
No, pancreatic cancer always returns, but with chemo maybe we can slow it down.
He's hoping to start next month. No port needed, IV drip for 4 months.

So Becca, as for the job hunt, it's not like I'm doing all I can. Any place I go is going to be at least 100 miles round trip. You know where I live.
It'll work out. Town gossip has moved into Cadillac:scared1: I wonder what took it so long. :rotfl2: Guess I just wasn't over there to find out.:)

What was done to me at work was not cool, but hey, I can look in the mirror everyday, cause I've done nothing wrong. Can my boss? :hippie:

Toot, hope you and Bam Bam fell better soon.

Good morning Sassies! Happy to report the BamBam is off to school and is tremendously excited about it. The laundry is about caught up (for now, at least). I have to scoot the the doctor this morning, so I will see you later, ladies! Hope everyone is doing well!
