Happy Thursday Sassies! I'm loving these cool nights and comfortable days. I think we are going to get an early fall though, but its almost time for the kids to go back to school so its all good.

Tonight we are going tubing with some neighbors on their new boat. The boys can't wait!

What are these cool nights you speak of?

I don't think Louisiana got that memo.

I haven't been tubing since high school. I do remember it being so much fun...... ahhh the memories.

Mom and I both like the new oncologist we met Tuesday. We now have an appt. with a nutritionist and a CT scan lined up. He is quite honest but kind.
No, pancreatic cancer always returns, but with chemo maybe we can slow it down.
He's hoping to start next month. No port needed, IV drip for 4 months.

Judi I'm glad you like the new Doctor. How is Mom feeling now?

Good morning Sassies! Happy to report the BamBam is off to school and is tremendously excited about it. The laundry is about caught up (for now, at least). I have to scoot the the doctor this morning, so I will see you later, ladies! Hope everyone is doing well!

Wilma I'm glad BamBam is all better. Even though they say they don't want to go to school my kids hate missing. I hope he has a great first day.

Did you ladies see the women's volleyball last night? Gold baby gold. I was just getting ready to go to bed at 10:00 last night when they announced that the ladies would be playing for Gold live. Of course I stayed up to watch then when it was over I was too keyed up to sleep. :confused3

Not much happenin' today. Had my first ever eye exam-- how cool is getting your eyes dilated?!! I looked like Bruce from Finding Nemo. "We're havin' fish tonight!!" Riley's pre-school teacher came over to meet him. My little social butterfly was shy for the first time ever-- it was cute! Other than that, just cleaning & packing for da beach. Cannot wait! I'll take lots of ridiculous and probably compromising pictures for you all to guffaw over.

Oh yeah, any advice for dealing with insanely grumpy husbands? I'm not adverse to torture.

Bonnie-- Did you pick up some nasty germ at SF? Scabies? The Plague? The clap? :rotfl2: Sorry to laugh at your misery! I hope you get better soon -- going back to your classroom when you're feeling lousy would be rough.

Wilms-- Glad Bam-Bam is back in action. I'm sure you are too!

Becca- Have fun at your northerly beach! I guess you're not too concerned with shark attacks either? ;) I wish I wouldn't have watched Shark Week. Now I have the heebie jeebies!

Tricia-- You mean it's not cool and balmy in Louisiana? It's not here either! Definitely not as hot as it usually is, but still hot. I TiVoed the volleyballl-- will watch tonight!

Judi-- Sounds like this new Dr. is a winner! I think it's amazing how supportive you've been for your mom. I know everyone thinks they would be, but when it comes down to it, it's hard to be there for someone as much as you've been for her. Pat yourself on the back for me! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Gertie's Best Friend-- how is the world's wackiest co-worker anyway? I haven't heard any good stories lately...

Hi Shirley, Heather, & Julie!

Hey hags! Home from the salon/day spa and guess who got a complimentary one-hour full-body massage? That's right...moi!! It was nice! Especially on this achy bod. Yep, like 1/2 hour before we left for the salon, the hair dresser called and asked if I wanted one. I think the massage therapist needed some more training hours or something and had no victims scheduled. So it was lovely!

Shannon, yes, I do believe it was Scabies that I picked up at Six Flags. And might I add that the Batwing coaster is TERRIFYING!! I have never been so scared in all my born days. That was no scream of excitement I was uttering, I seriously thought I was falling out of my harness, i was just dangling there, and you know how you ride on your stomach, like you are flying or something. Soooo scary, girl! did you ever ride it?

Hope you hags are having a great day!

Good evening, ladies! What's shakin'?

Tricia - I did watch the volleyball game - it was great! I must say I never was a big volleyball fan but these Olympics may have changed me. Those girls are impressive!

Bonnie - I'm so sorry you're feeling poorly - but at least you scored a free massage!  Think of your current illness as a immunity booster before school starts. Wake up those white cells, woman! They are lulled to sleep by your summer vacation, I think. It wouldn't seem safe at all to go to the skanky amusement park without a healthy supply of white cells.

Becca - how was the tubing? I envy you as my summer comes to a screeching halt. Do you all just tube down a river or have a boat pull you along?

Shannon - how is it that you have gotten to your age without an eye exam, lady? Man, I've been having them since I was 6! The dilation thing is a trip, isn't it? I can never drive home after it - I am just too blurry. So what's the verdict? Are you joining us contact lens wearers?

Angie - where are you, girl? When do you get your injections?

Shirley - I'm glad Danny is home. Still praying that he sees his need for help, and for your strength as a family.

Hi Heather, Julie, Sarah! Happy Thursday!

Shirley, hope all is going well:flower3:

Bonnie, feeling better, isn't it hillbilly weekend?

Becca, just got the new moccasin catalog, still no purple, but I'll keep looking.

Shannon, Foster Grants? Have a nice vacation

Julie, What have you done with Astro, long time no see.

Heather, how's Kate? oh yeah I want to hear Joey "zzzzzzzzzz" Video

Tricia, WW, homework, heat index?:lmao:

Angie, How's your back:hug:

Good Morning, Mrs. FoP , Kimmy, Sarah, CapJack etc. etc. etc.

Good morning Sassies! Tubing was great, Justin just wanted to go faster and faster. We went on our neighbors new boat. Their tube is kind of a cheating tube, it has places where you sit down in so the chance of being thrown out is minimal. When I was a kid we only had straps to hang onto, much more difficult.

Whats everyone up to today? Its supposed to rain, but be hot today so we may head to the big lake this afternoon if we get a break in the rain.

Old Navy has jeans for kids on sale tomorrow for $7 and $12 for adults. Just thought I'd pass that tidbit on. I'll be there to stock up, my boys go through so many pairs of jeans during the winter.

Bonnie, a bonus massage you lucky duck! Hope you are feeling better soon. When do you get back in your classroom?

Wilma, when do you go back to teaching? We have one more week of summer vacay and the boys want to cram everything in that they can.

Judi, I can't believe they don't have purple mocs. What is the matter with these natives?

Tricia, I guess our cool nights are done for now. I shouldn't have talked about it. I will have to turn the air back on later today. How cool does it get for you all in the winter?

Hi Julie, Heather, Shannon and Shirley!

Good Morning Becca

When I bought mine, the owner of the store didn't know how he got them:laughing: They have pink or red kilty this year.

I see an untapped market here for funky color/patterned moccasins. I shall start tanning and dying hides and forming them into shoes. It may take me my lifetime to master such a craft. I was horrible at basket making. My grandma finally gave up and made one for me instead.:confused3

Good morning! I'm feeling kinda icky, but I shall put on my happy face for you! :teeth:

Judi~I have fallen in love with a pair of Minnetonka clogs. Sorry-they aren't purple (and they're not really mocs)! But they're $50, which just isn't in the budget right now. Who'd a thunk Minnetonka shoes would get so expensive! I remember getting their mocs for like $5 when I was little. I used to wear the short boot-like ones with fringe and no soles when I was in high school. Stepping on a rock was always interesting in those things!

Becca~tubing sounds like a blast! I've never been tubing. I guess I need to make friends with someone who has a boat.

Shannon~I think I've only had the dilation-type eye exam once. I hated not being able to see. I guess it's probably time to have that done again. I hope you have fun on vacation! If you figure out how to deal with grumpy husbands please let me know.

Bonnie~I can't believe you scored a free massage. That rocks!!

Wilma~they haven't called me to schedule my steroid shots yet. I need to call them and see what's going on with that. I've really been enjoying the beach volleyball, too. It's really exciting!

Hi Tricia, Heather and Julie! Hope you all have a great weekend!! :flower3:

:woohoo: I feel the need for a big drink or maybe run away, maybe tubing would be great. I do believe Danny is gone again as I was told by DD not to let it concern me as it is upsetting me too much. Well what does she think it is doing by not knowing, I am really scared for Dan.

Has anyone ever been attacked by bees???? Well when DH and I were North we went to make a fire and I sat down in our nice swing and what I thought was flys (I don't see too well HA HA ) tries to swat them away but they were bees, bees everywhere. Seems that they had built a nest under the swing. Now it is funny but then I ran all the way into the trailer up the steps and into the the potty room. And really wondered why I couldn't breath....thought I was having a reaction to the bites. Shirley

The bees are bad here this year. Glad you didn't get stung.

That's what I usually wear, $35 a pair now. The clogs are cute!

I think we should have saved our clothes from the 70's :rotfl2:
Our children are us.

Hello peoples :3dglasses

Stephanie is that you? :sail:

Good morning folks. Sorry I went MIA yesterday. I just didn't get on the computer. I'm usually on first thing in the morning but Mark was home.

So what's the big plans for the weekend? I think we'll be keeping a close watch on Tropical Storm Fay. Right now it should turn before heading to us but with those thing you never know.
