Welcome home and back, Tina! Indeed no apology needed, get some rest and take care! I am so glad you did have an overall good time with family.

all for the birthday wishes with even an adorable

thrown in

Of course can't forget the delicious treats as well. I sincerely appreciate all of you! I am having a Blessed birthday. I got to talk with a couple friends by phone and others by text or email. I enjoyed this morning so much as I may have shared already (sorry I'm a little sleepy) opening cards I had saved. Above all else so grateful to God for health, my Dad and his health and to be able to celebrate.
Other things today I am grateful for:
A/C's have arrived at Home Depot! Waiting to hear from property manager as to when the maintenance men can pick them up along with whether that would be the same as installation day.
Cooler weather
Last night in his evening email, senior Pastor of my church shared part of an anecdote that I had read years ago and want to share here. One morning a little boy named Tim (5 or 6) decided he wanted to go find God. Tim packed his backpack full of Twinkies and sodas. He let his mom know where he was going. I am praying he lived in a small town (or the mom secretly followed him) because he went by himself to the park. In some versions of this story he walked and in others he took a bus. Once he arrived at the park, he came upon an older woman sitting on a bench who looked sad. He smiled at her in greeting and sat down beside her. The two of them sat for quite some time in silent companionship every now and then offering one another a smile.
When Tim got hungry for lunch he took a Twinkie out of his backpack and unwrapped it. Before taking his first bite, he glanced over at the woman and in addition to looking sad she also seemed very hungry. Tim smiled at the woman and offered her a Twinkie. She happily (without saying anything) accepted. The same thing to follow with the soda. The two new friends spent the afternoon eating Twinkies and drinking soda.
When it began to get dark, Tim packed up his pack and started to leave. Last minute, he glanced back at the woman (still seated on the bench) he ran over to her and embraced her in a huge hug. Her reply was a gigantic smile.
When Tim got home, his mom greeted him and immediately noticed how joyful her son looked. She asked Tim what happened at the park that made him so happy. His reply was that he ate lunch with God. Tim also said God was in the form of an older woman. Meanwhile, the elderly woman, glowing, went home to where she lived with her daughter. When the daughter saw how happy her mom was, she asked her what had brought her such joy. The lady replied that she spent the day in the park eating Twinkies with God and had not realized how young He was.
By the Grace of God through our Lord Jesus, He indeed is within us all! I shared this as way of extra thanks to each of you for all the kindness and cheer you help spread both on here and I'm sure out there too.
Have a good evening and God Bless!
