Bumping us back to page 1. Watching our governor, Hogan in Maryland, starting to relax restrictions as of Friday at 5pm. Still many guidelines in place.

Cleaned the downstairs today. Ready to watch the Survivor finale tonight.

I hadn't heard what Hogan said. Do you know what restrictions are being relaxed and what guidelines will still be in place? Western MD here, just waiting for some sense of normalcy to return.

I tilled the garden again today, did laundry, and brought my tomato plants up out of the cellar where they have been since being started from seeds back at the beginning of March. Today was their first day in the sun, and I swear I heard them cheering! LOL!

Waiting for finales of Survivor and Masked Singer!

Hugs and thanks to all for the kind birthday wishes yesterday! I so appreciated them and all of you, too always :)

It looks like LA may be on lockdown through at least most of Summer. I did read that possibly retailers will be able to provide curbside pick up in more places. That doesn't work too well for trying on clothes.

I look forward to today's question maybe later :)

I wasn't feeling well last night (well, until about noon today)...Pepto Bismol was being a very good friend, ha. Didn't sleep well (getting up and down, and having to sleep mostly sitting up). Felt better after lunch, but still a bit meh. Something yesterday must not have agreed with me; it was just stomach issues, no fever or aches or chills.

Making a Birds Eye cauliflower rice chicken fried rice meal for dinner tonight. Quick and easy was called for, and it is surprisingly decent.

Got an email from Open Table; they sent me a $25 gift code to Wine Insiders. Took a poke around, found some wines to try, and in the end, ordered 6 bottles for $35.xx OOP. Figured that wasn't bad, since the wine I usually buy (Stella Rosa) is about $15 a bottle here.

Waiting to hear from DD#2. SoIL#2 is a Marine, and his enlistment is about over. Originally, it was up last September, but he received an extension, because his reenlistment (2nd time, I think; he started Sept 2011) paperwork was being held up for some reason. He's been pushing to get the paperwork through, and his monitor (?) is apparently useless. So, after much soul searching, and a few visits to other military branches, he is moving over to the Army on June 10th. The Marines had offered him another 2 month extension, because of the Covid situation, but he didn't want to mess around with "what happens in 2 months when I don't get my paperwork through? what if the Army offer is gone?" So, he is meeting and testing with the Army yesterday and today, and was supposed to sign his papers today, and get his job/station. The Army recruiter said he shouldn't have to do boot camp again, since he is coming over from another branch. (I am not sure how any of this goes, I'm only going with what DD has told me).

Hubby and I just got back from buying a dishwasher. Its going to be delivered and installed tomorrow. OMG....I'm soo excited!! Haven't had a dishwasher in so long I can't even remember how long its been. Leaving the appliance store we tried to go to Costco but the line was too long. We're going to go back later this evening before they close. Last week when we were there we found some things our daughter really loves for her lunches so we wanted to go back to stock up for her.

Happy belated birthday, @flyingdumbo127 . Hope it was all you wanted :).

@mommasita, It made your heart soar bringing him back home and bet your soup was something he longed for.

Beautiful sun filled day even though I didn't go out, LOL.
Looked at my freezer inventory list and checked the fridge's contents; decided to make a baked meat ravioli "lasagna". Much the same ingredients as a lasagna with the addition of cooked spinach and broccoli added to the food processor bowl with the ricotta (I "whirl" the ricotta to make it airier and incorporate the Parmesan and lemon zest throughout).
Added a topping of mozzarella and cooked mushrooms to the top which of course has DGD wondering if I lost my mind (it's the cheese, she can't stand err but I've convinced her ricotta is a kind of yogurt, LOL). Nobody but me really cares about carb consumption so made some garlic bread for them and a green salad for all.
Tonight's dessert is Entenmann's chocolate cake for the chocoholics and a fruit salad for me.

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday,

I hope all is well and getting along the best you can. I'm tired. Between the trip and stress of travel plus extra and needing to go see about my medical issues I'm worn out today. So kudos to my husband, as I mentioned not too long ago he isn't always the best around the house, he fixed the kitchen faucet! I mean he spent probably 3 days worrying about it but then this afternoon got under the sink and fixed it...yes he got the screw back in place to my faucet body would quit moving...he is quite the repair man...but he is all mine.

Dinner tonight was baked panko crusted fish, homemade tartar sauce, brussel sprouts and broccoli slaw with apples and seeds.

So looks like I may, MAY, get to see my mom at the end of the month start of next month. They are trying to figure out procedures to keep everyone safe but I am hopeful something gets planned and I'll make the drive down to see her. It's just not the same on Facetime, many of you know how I feel.

Saturday would have been Matt's graduation. I can't really host a party and his diploma won't be here for several more weeks. I need to do something so I was thinking picking up some his favorite beer from couple restaurants and some his favorite foods from around town and having buffet here for us and if comfortable inviting over another few people. I'm not sure though. Just such weird time.

Gratitudes:
Easy shopping this morning for fruits and veggies at Fresh Thyme
HVAC is repaired to cost of much more than I wanted to spend but it's repaired.
Good report from my mom's nursing home about their health

NYCgrrl, I just finished dinner but reading your posts still makes me hungry. Now I want chocolate cake.

We had grilled chicken, wild rice, and Lima beans. Not as fancy as it sounds. I marinated the chicken and cooked it on the foreman grill. Uncle Ben's bag of wild rice, and a can of Del Monte Lima beans. It was tasty though.

@mommasita , glad your DH is home.

I copied this from a news source.
At 5 p.m. Friday, that order will be lifted, and a new, "Safer At Home public health advisory" will begin. At that time, retail stores will be allowed to open at 50 percent capacity, though curbside pickup and delivery is still strongly encouraged, as is physical distancing and wearing masks. Some personal services, including barbershops and salons, will be allowed to open with up to 50 percent capacity, by appointment only and with safety measures in place. Churches and houses of worship will be allowed to begin hold services, with 50 percent indoor capacity and, again, with appropriate distancing and safety measures. Outdoor services are encouraged. Maryland officials still encourage older folks and more vulnerable populations to stay home as much as possible. Working from home is strongly encouraged for those who can do so. Masks in indoor public areas and on public transportation are still strongly encouraged.

Question of the day: 5/13 (Thanks to PollyannaMom!!) Which celebrity would like to have a "Zoom lunch date" with?
Torrey Smith, former Ravens football player and former Terp. I think this answer came a little too easily to me.

Gratitudes:
I am grateful that this forces me to name my gratitudes.
Sunny day with forecast of warmer temps this weekend.
Gradual return to normalcy for Maryland. I will still be overly cautious.

I don't Zoom, so no one for that. Not sure who I would want to have a lunch with....maybe Tom Hanks.

Our state is opening.....I am not excited about it and will still do the best I can at self isolating.

Dinner tonight is salsa chicken, salad, green beans and apple crumble

Hmm, that's a toughy.

Mark Hamil is DH's answer. Seems like a good dude, and so much stuff to tell stories on.

Robin Williams, if that was an option, would have been my first choice.
So, maybe..Sir Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart. They are great together.

We did haircuts here today! I’d finally had enough of mine so DD cut it for me. It was way too long! I told her how to do it (basically about an inch off all around, God knows I’ve watched my hairdressers long enough!). She did a great job and I was really happy with it! (Even though it took two hours! :lmao:) DH really wanted a cut, too, so I gave it a whirl and it actually came out really good! He was very happy with it. Trying to talk DS into letting us try cutting his but so far he is holding out and waiting for his regular barber to open again, lol. (And of all of us he probably needed one the most!) So it was really satisfying to see that we could actually do it!

I think I have noticed that when it’s sunny and warm, I am feeling much better about this staying at home bit. Today was gray and damp and chilly. I did do some organizing in my craft room and that made me feel good. Tomorrow is the season finale of Station 19. ( does anyone here watch it?)

A celebrity? I’m not sure. I’d rather have a meeting with my great, great grandfather! I’m working on genealogy and I have so many questions!😊

ME! I had never heard of it, but when DH was in the hospital, I needed something, so binged watched from the beginning. So anxious to watch, he will probably be asleep, so he won’t even realize Lol.

We are finally getting warm weather, and I love it. Maybe the pool next week. 🤞 with the heater on for a week first lol.

I would love to Zoom with Denzel Washington ❤️
