If anyone is interested, the original (British) The Office is now airing on adult swim (cartoon network). Truly hilarious and a bit more edgy and out there than the US version.

I thought the beginning was hysterical. I didn't watch until I got home at 11:30 and I woke my DH up to watch that scene with me. It was so typically what Michael would think about that test. "How can I make it better for the doctor?" Classic.

I can't wait to see my friend who does colonoscopies for a living to ask him that question.

Jim was right about not telling Michael what he wanted to discuss with David, but it blew up on him. But in the end, Michael announcing that he got promoted to Co-Manager with Jim was great! The whole thing backfired on Michael... "I have to check with my Mom and the guy at H&R Block."

Dwight's scream at the end was perfect!

My favorite last night was Andy with the "cheese cart", and the look on the new receptionist's face when she saw Michael get out from under the cart!

Of course the look on Dwight's face at the end was priceless!

Michael has had a lot of cringe-worthy moments, but last night's opening topped them all!! I was laughing and cringing throughout the entire scene with Oscar.

Poor Toby! He always seems to get the worst of any situation.

Beginning--I was thinking OMG- How inappropriate, and all the time I was also laughing and just shaking my head. The poster who said Cringe-worthy was dead on.

And poor Pam...her friend hooking up with Dwight and maybeher Mom hooking up with Michael?

Michael's condom speech, and the way he smoothed things over with Meemaw afterward I loved that he tried, though; to me, that harkens back to "classic" Office, where no mater how giant an idiot Michael was during an episode, there was always a charming bit of genuine caring that came through (like the episode where Pam has her art show and overhears Oscar and Gil insulting her work, and Michael shows up and buys her painting and raves about it.)

The whole "dance" scene with Jim and Pam on the Maid of the Mist interspersed throughout was SO cute, and does anybody else really want Andy and Erin to get together? They're absolutely darling!

Oh, and if anybody wants to see the dance bit again, it's up at Office Tally.

Just when I think I can't love this show any more than I already do....



And on an unrelated note, The Office actually came in very handy for me on Monday night--a friend and I were driving (well, I was driving and she was sleeping) from Nashville to Houston straight through. I played my favorite Office episodes on my iPhone (on the dock, through the car stereo) and listening to them and laughing along helped not only keep me awake, but had me positive cheerful when the sun finally came up.

Perfect blend between goofy office antics, uncomfortable Michael moments and sweet romance.

Loved everything, so many classic moments - Kevin with shoe boxes on his feet, Dwight kicking the bridesmaid in the face, Creed!
