They had Chief Brody’s outfit and other props from the movie

I even saw that they had an actual Chief Brody (on IG, maybe?) that you could talk to.

That is what I think but people are raving about the butter beer crepe!

Dis meet #1 at DHS

I took a little break in my room before heading to DHS.

I did have 3 FP$$ this evening and had made plans to meet up with Vanessa. I walked over to the Skyliner and very quickly I was heading to DHS. Today was hot! It was high 90s with full on sun, not a cloud in the sky. I did get a little beeeze up in the Skyliner but not much!

I decided to do the Frozen sing along first, this was an excellent decision! I walked right in just before the doors closed and had a seat on the aisle. I was pretty much alone in this area, perfect! I really enjoyed the show and the two village historians are hilarious and make the show!


They really send a lot of snoap out of the ceiling! Keep your mouth shut and don’t look up! The snoap is not pleasant hitting in the eye or mouth!

Vanessa text me at the end of the show, she was parking and waiting on the tram. I decided to hang out in this area by PotatoLand and the Mickey shorts theater. This area was packed with people lying around (literally)on the floor trying to stay cool. I was shocked how many people were on the floor. Gross I stayed standing and waited for Vanessa. Soon she arrived and we visited a little before heading to The Muppets area (RIP) It is now all closed up.

I have never been in Pizze Rizzo so we had a look inside and went upstairs. It is designed like a cheesy wedding reception. It is really fun with tons of seating. I was sad I never explored this place and now this is the last time I will ever see it. Vanessa has been several times before and really enjoyed the Italian salad. We didn’t eat here just checked out the theming.

Our plan was to have a drink and snack at Baseline Taphouse. Now this place, I have been numerous times and Vanessa had never been! It was busy as usual. We did find a small table with a little shade cover. I ordered the Mango Cart beer and Vanessa had the California Sunset. We got a pretzel with beer cheese and mustard to share.

It was really nice to visit with Vanessa! She was telling me all about her experience at Epic, she was there on opening day! We talked about our kids and trips we have planned in the future! Did I mention t was boiling hot out? Well it was, we both took out our little fans and propped them on the table to give us a little relief! It was so hot we didn’t eat much of our pretzel! It was good but when it is this hot eating outside not enjoyable! We did drink our alcohol, not wasting that, lol We also had ice water, which was definitely needed. Vanessa had plans to meet up with her daughter in Epcot and I had my 3 FP$$ coming up. I had TSMM, SDD, and ToT. We headed towards the front and stopped for pictures! We had the nicest PP CM and he did several magic shots for us!


I said my goodbye to Vanessa at this time. It was wonderful to visit with her and I sure hope our trips line up again in the near future!

I was into the time for my first FP$$ and headed towards TSL to ride TSMM. This is when I really noticed the lack of air conditioning inside the queue. It was not cool at all! People were complaining and cranky, not to mention stinky haha

I rode and was a beaver once again with a score around 125,000.

I decided to go and check out the SR line for Rise next. I was in luck and it was open with only a few people ahead of me. It took less than 20 minutes for the whole experience and Kylo REN was working in all areas yay!

I headed off to the Muppets after this, I got right in at the beginning of a new show, my timing was perfect! I had plans to visit this area one more time in a few days so it wasn’t my final goodbye to the attraction.

It was now time for my SDD FP$$. I got close to the second tap point very quickly but then had about a 15 minute wait here before we moved. It was really hot in this spot, ugh I wasn’t sure if there was a delay but we did start moving again and soon it was my turn to ride. This is a fun little coaster and just my speed!

I grabbed an Alien SS FP$$ for right after my SDD. I love this quirky little saucer ride. It was a hot out, did I tell you that Waiting to load this ride felt like forever! I tried to get a MMRR FP$$ but no such luck!



I headed to ToT after Aliens for my last ride of the evening. My wait was very minimal with my FP$$. I actually got the front row and had an awesome ride and of course this picture did not show up in my photos, I did email Disney to try and find it but so far nothing, I swear the rides that still have you tap at the photos guarantee the picture! I didn’t tap this one time because there was a mob of people in front of it. I didn’t want to wait and no picture this time. I always get my ToT pictures when I tap! Just a theory I have and believe in!

It was time to head out of the park. I took the Skyliner back to CBR with very little waiting! Love the Skyliner!

I got back to the room around 9pm and just chilled. I had some of my delicious desserts from Les Halles and a gallon of water before turning the lights out! My room was really comfortable and it was nice to relax in the air conditioning! Stay tuned for my morning at AK!

I missed so much of this report while I was AWOL.

I enjoyed getting caught up and came back just in time to catch our meet up. Thank you so much for sharing some Baseline with me. I have always wanted to go there and getting to visit with you made it even better. I did really enjoy my drink too. It really was hot that day.

We stayed in a Trinidad room in January and loved it too. It was the perfect distance to the Skyliner. Did you ever try Spyglass Grill in that area? We got breakfast sandwiches one day and really enjoyed them.

It's amazing how much you can do when you tour the parks alone.

Since coming back at the start of the summer, I've thought a few times about people who I haven't seen much and wondered what they'd been up to. I technically paid for FP$$ before my trip and was adding to the three rides I initially picked, which was SDD, TSMM, and ToT, one thing at DHS rides are few and far between once you use your first three. Normally I would do morning picks here and continue picking rides in MK for later in the day, best way to use the system.

I always tap if I want to make sure I have a photo.

I will from now on! One time I didn’t get my picture, Disney is still working on it

If you pick a restaurant to look at on the web it will give you the menu and below that it says discounts and dining plan, click that button and it tells you if it is 1 or 2 credits.

I have been on Rise enough that missing the preshow is worth the shorter wait and definitely the $20+ cost for the fancy ride price!

I wanted to add a few PTR notes from my upcoming trips.

It was my 60 day ADR time last week, I made an ADR for Geo82 on a Monday evening. We will also be going to ILMulino, Jaleo Sangria Hour (this is a great deal, it is at the bar and the tapas are 1/2 off along with the house made Sangria), I am trying to get an ADR for Celebration at the Top. This is the small bites and drinks fireworks party at the CR in California Grill. I have a mouse dining watch for it. It doesn’t show up to book yet for the dates in early September even thought it is 60 days out!

We will also be doing the extra magic hours on Friday at DHS and Monday at Epcot. We have MNSSHP scheduled for Tuesday. Any other ADRs will be made in real time, we will also dine at some of our favorite lounges along the way!

We will have 2 nights at HHN at USO, 2 days at Epic with the express pass. We will be busy! I am working out and getting my miles in. I am walking 4 miles a day to get ready for our 15-17 miles a day!

We plan to have drinks and a dessert on the rooftop of Helios Hotel to watch the water/light show at Epic. We will make 3 hotel changes at USO just because Helios is crazy expensive now and when I booked the Friday night I thought we were leaving on Saturday, except Our 2nd Epic day is now Saturday. We need the whole day and evening. I booked Stella Nova for Saturday night because Helios literally jumped from $350 (which I paid for Friday) to $650 on Saturday night, no way. Stella Nova is a newer hotel close to Epic, I paid $175 for this night. Our first two nights are at Hard Rock Hotel which is super close to Universal for HHN and park touring at US and IOA.

I think that is it for now. We will have 4 hotel stays-YC at Disney, yes I switched from Swan to YC when the cost came down dramatically for AP discount. I hope I made the right decision since they will be working on the outside of the YC, the front side, which we really never use except to get to the bus so hoping it will be okay.

I haven’t made any dining reservations for USO yet. We will likely hit up a favorite like Antojitos and try a few new ones.

I also have an October trip with Liesa @Steppesister and we have free dining with a stay at AKL. I haven’t used the DP in over ten years at least. I decided not to renew my AP for Disney so I can do the package with Liesa. I know Topolinos breakfast will be one of our ADRs, very good use of 1 credit on the dining plan. We make our ADRs towards the end of August.

I am coming in on a Tuesday evening and will head to USO the next morning and meet up with Liesa that evening for MK. I’m excited to tour with Liesa again and I love Disney in October! I think that is it for now!

Hello there! It is time to start my next day. Today was Saturday 5/24 and it was an AK morning!

I had 3 FP$$ to start with. NRJ, Safari, and Dinosaur. I also had a fancy FP$$ for FoP. I had a banana with cold brew before heading out. I honestly didn’t know where the bus stop was for this area and never used it once haha I called for a Lyft and literally left my room walked down one flight of stairs to the parking area and waited for my Lyft.

I arrived at AK around 8:30 and headed to my favorite ride ever Dinosaur. I rode several times including using my FP$.

I will just put this one picture in since I know you all have seen me on Dinosaur many times

This one picture is funny because I knew there was only going to be the two of us in the front row and this kid chose to sit right next to me, haha I figured he was scared and needed a mom like figure to make him less nervous!

I enjoyed my couple rides on Dinosaur and bid the ride a farewell until my next trip, thank goodness it will still be open for Andi and I and I also think it will be open for Liesa and I in October!

I did something after tapping into Dinosaur, I booked a FP$ for Peter Pan and I also canceled my Safari, “I know” don’t judge I picked up a Jungle Cruise as well, yay! My plan was an evening in MK. I decided to take a walk on both trails here instead of the Safari. I’m lucky to have been on Safari many times so it wasn’t a big loss to me today.

I headed off to both trails which had just recently opened and took my time enjoying the gorillas , Meerkats, Hippos, Kimodo Dragon, Bats, water Buffalo and ended with a delightful viewing of Bakso and his mom.

I had a great spot to watch as Bakso frolicked with his mom and even went in the water.

Here he is alone and the next picture is his mom, can you spot Bakso? He is there!


I had the best time walking the trails, this is why I love this park very much.

I was going to make my way to Pandora and was in Asia so I headed to the front and there was Russell with a very short line, maybe one group ahead of me when I jumped in the line. Dug was busy chasing squirrels, I guess, because it was just Russell.

I had a wonderful visit with him, I complimented him on all his Wilderness Explorer Badges! He was quite proud!

I said goodbye to Russell and made my way into Pandora.

It was the time for my NRJ ride. I tapped in and made another FP$ at MK for Pirates!

I really like NRJ however I was squished in the seat with two large men, ugh I did notice several times this trip as a solo rider I was put with another person on rides they normally don’t do that. I had a stranger with me on Pirates, FEA (uncomfortable), NRJ, and LwtL, why? I didn’t say anything but I have never been put with other people on these rides except NRJ.

All were single rider men as well, just weird in my opinion.

At least the Shaman was working at the end of NRJ.


I got a few photos in Pandora and decided to eat at Satuli Canteen right around 10:30 or so! I mobile ordered the kids hot dog meal, which I love with the vegetable chips and a cutie. I chose Diet Coke as my drink along with ice water.

I have to say since I didn’t mention it yet, it was boiling hot ! I did sit inside to enjoy the air conditioning.

Once I finished my early lunch, it was time for my FoP fancy FP$. I do love this ride! It never gets old, except for the pre show .

I rode next to several people, who had never been, they absolutely loved this ride. I enjoy seeing people riding for the first time.

I decided to do a little shopping before heading out. I found a really cute Winnie the Pooh shirt. I will show it to you in my next post. I love it It is a light and airy button down with Pooh and Friends on it.

I waited in line for a picture at the Tree of Life, the CM was awesome doing the photos and she did several magic shots for me!


I worked my way out of the park after checking out all the stores in this area. AK stores are my favorite to look in.

Once outside of the park, I ordered up a Lyft to take me back to my room.

I wanted to chill for a few hours before heading into MK.

Highlights-Dinosaur, walking the trails, meeting Russell, getting some nice pictures, my kid’s meal, FoP, and finding my new shirt to name o few.

Lowlights-Having to share a boat row with several large men, “I’m surprised they didn’t try to put someone on the back of my cycle on FoP! It was very hot with minimal air conditioning in some of the lines. That is it!

I also have an October trip with Liesa @Steppesister and we have free dining with a stay at AKL. I haven’t used the DP in over ten years at least.

The last, and only, time we did free dining was at least ten years ago. I was a fanatic about getting my money's worth.

We also have a trip in October, the 20th to 25th. It is a great time of the year. The hottest weather is usually over with by then.

I did something after tapping into Dinosaur, I booked a FP$ for Peter Pan and I also canceled my Safari, “I know” don’t judge I picked up a Jungle Cruise as well, yay! My plan was an evening in MK. I decided to take a walk on both trails here instead of the Safari.

That's a smart way to do it. The AK MPLL is the cheapest one. And you can use it for LL's in any park later in the day.

I had a great spot to watch as Bakso frolicked with his mom and even went in the water.

That must have been fun to watch. We still haven't seen him yet.

We went to The Lion King Show just to cool off when we were there.
