We are trying to pick a restaurant for lunch and I'm very interested in trying Olivia's at OKW. We have also never eaten at Le Cellier and lunch seems like it would be nice. For those of you who have had lunch at both...which would you pick?

Olivia's or Le Cellier?

Le Cellier is getting rediculous to get reservations at. My friends tried at 180 days and they were already booked. My OKW lunch pick is to hop on the ferry to DTD and eat at Wolf Gang Puck Express. Lunch there is only a counter service on the dining plan. The food is delicious and we love there bakery offerings for desert options on the DDP. Try it, you'll like it.

I suggest getting on allears.net and checking the menus. That is really the best way to decide.

For whatever it's worth, we ate dinner at Olivia's and I thought it was quiet! Hmmm, guess it depends on the time of year/time of day. They have the most wonderful pineapple-coconut bread :lovestruc (there is a name for it but I forget what it's called). Oh BTW I voted for Olivia's. I am not a big fan of Le Cellier (when we ate there it was just so-so). Have a great trip! :goodvibes

I voted Olivia's. We love it there. Have eaten there many times and didn't find it noisy. I also do agree with Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD. e ate there for the first time this past trip and it was excellent.

Thanks Everyone! We love WPE, and will be eating there as well during our trip. I've looked at both menus and we are torn. I'm not a huge steak eater and usually go for sandwiches and both places have that at lunch time. Over recent months I've read so many negatives about Le Cellier and great things about Olivia's. UGH! :confused3

Olivias is one of the noisiest Disney restaraunts that I have eaten at.
I guess it could be. We're always there when it seems to be near-empty.

:)Although I voted for Olivia's, I agree with the others on taking the launch to DTD but we really like the sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich as well as WPE. Depends on what type of atmosphere/food you are looking for. LeCellier is very overrated imho.

Olivia's has a wonderful lunch! I love their Turkey Sandwich and Burger, and don't forget the Key Lime Pie. I love its casual, tropical ambiance with the huge paddle fans! Le Cellier, the food is good but I won't eat there till much later in the evening, I make ADR's for around 7:45 or 8pm. You want to talk about busy, noisy and sitting in your neighbors lap and sharing their conversation, that unfortunately is Le Cellier at peak time! I vote for Olivia's!

I love the tropical theme of OKW; the piped in music puts you in a festive mood. The sultry surroundings are enchanting and the palm trees are exquisite.

We enjoy lunch at Le Cellier and have only eaten lunch once at Olivias.

If we're in that area, we most often eat lunch at Fultons if we want table service or WPE.

Because of rain, this time when we were in the area we ate at Turf Club in SSR and that was good, too.

P.S. Olivias is one of the noisiest Disney restaraunts that I have eaten at.

Hollywood & Vine! Loud chairs constantly scraping across hard flooring....

We've had lunch at Olivia's a bunch of times. It was actually pretty quiet because there weren't a lot of people there. You can sit outside too if the weather is nice enough.

I appreciate everyones opinions THANKS!

I agree about WPE and Earl of Sandwich, but we are looking for a nice sit down lunch with my parents. I've read a lot of trip reports over the years from people at OKW and so many have said nice things about Olivia's. We are DVC members and visit WDW a lot, but we seem to always pick the same places, or the places my kids like. This trip we will have no Chef Mickey's, no breakfast with Pooh, etc! I have 3 new picks this time and I'm so excited! We have decided on Olivia's for lunch one day. I have always wanted to see OKW in person and I can't wait! We are going to try The Wave which I've read good things about and Les Chefs De France! :dance3:

I would suggest Olivia's or taking the boat to DTD and having a meal at one of the many options there. Enjoy your trip.:cool1::banana:

We had lunch at Olivia's in June. First time we've eaten there and we really enjoyed it. The soup and sandwich combos were outstanding and it wasn't noisy at all. We plan to eat there every trip from now on. It's a hidden gem.

I voted for Olivia's for two reasons. First, I don't care for LeCellier, and second, I LOVE sitting in the outdoor dining area at Olivia's at lunch time!
