That is so great Rusty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess that just leaves me. Did they call you on a Saturday? Anyway, I am so very happy for you. I guess I still have a chance. We'll see very soon.

Hi everyone!

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is television and cable access in the bedrooms at Northbridge. Also, does Disney segregate smokers from non smokers when putting you in Northbridge. I cannot STAND cigarrette smoke. Thanks!

Thanks!!

GingerBambi ~ I believe I remember the recruiter telling me last night that there was television and cable access in each bedroom!

What exactly do you have do to get the PI?

Im a senior with about 3 semesters left until I graduate. Im doing the CP this semester and going to try to take 12 hrs that will count toward my degree.

Will I need to go back to campus and complete another semester after I complete the CP before Im eligible for the PI? Or can I apply for the PI will Im there on the CP and if i get selected, just stay there for the fall PI?

Also, what are the career opportunitys with Disney like after you complete the PI? Are any of you looking at a career there, or just using it as a stepping stone to something better?

Sorry for all the questions ^^

From my understanding you can apply for a PI as long as your are either in school or just graduated.

I am not sure how they seperate smokers from non, but I have asthma and hope they do have some conditions.

Hey GingerBimber what is your PI for?

I have a PI in animal programs for Nutrition Research and Diet Preparation at Animal Kingdom. I am super excited and can't wait until January.

I am looking for a carrer there after I complete the PI. The lady I will be working with said she would be able to introduce and help me out with the areas I am interested in!! Im super excited..this is a stepping stone to something else within the company!!

ahhh! I finally accepted one of the offers over the phone, i'll be at Downtown Disney as an operations manager. SO excited. :woohoo:

I am nervous about finding a place to live, does anyone know of any other place cast members may tend to live?
Also, the lady from casting said they were really behind with all the offers, she said that they try to get the emails out 24-48 hours after the call, but that it might be until next Friday until I get it. So if you haven't heard back yet, don't worry! I remember with my CP they seemed REALLY unorganized with getting everyone their letters, I never even recieved something in the mail, my email was two weeks late,... Who knows.

Anyway, if anyone has any housing ideas, let me know!! :)

I lived in Northbride in the Fall of 2005. Now it may have changed a lot but I never felt unsafe there. The gates were broke almost all the time, however I never heard of any issues of people being burglarized.

Cable wise Northbridge is set up just like vista in that the cable access is in the living room and that is it. As well as high speed internet. However you can get splitters and get that fixed.

All the apartments are non smoking so if you have a roomate that does smoke they are required to go outside to do so.

So yeah unless things have changed drastically in the past year, Northbridge is a nice place to live.

I'm glad someone says Northbridge isn't that bad, or at least as bad as apartmentratings makes it seem!
I wish they would sponsor housing for all PI's not just non-management roles, it would make things much easier, and cheaper!!

Hi all.
Ok, I took the leap of faith in Disney and accepted my Northbridge offer. I live in LA, so I figure I've seen much much worse :) Any animal programs kids in? Still so excited!!!! Congrats and good luck to everyone!

I have a question for those of you doing PIs but who haven't done the CP (especially those of you going into the animal programs). I was looking before at the qualifications, and the one I'm looking at (animal behavior), it said something along the lines of "CP desired" or "CP recommended". I used to work at Disney as a regular part-timer, so I don't know if that'll count for anything. But do they really care if you've done the CP if it doesn't say its required? Taking a semester off school for an internship is one thing, but taking one off just to work an hourly role is another. I should be graduating this spring but instead I'm restarting school with sophmore status... so I've got plenty of time to think about an internship, I'm just wondering if I should start pondering places other than Disney, if former CPs are preferred.

onethingremains: i'm not an expert, but i am an example of someone who didn't do the CP but got a PI. similar to yourself, i have worked as a season cast member for a little over a year. but i've never done a CP and the PI i got said that it was "desired qualification" not a requirement. hope that helps.

Onethingremains, As far as I can tell you don't need a CP at all for internships under "animal programs". A friend of mine and I both got an animal PI with absolutely no prior experience with the Disney company, CP or otherwise. They probably say they'd prefer a CP because if you've gone through a Disney program already, you have experience working with the Disney company. But what you do in a CP, doesn't really overlap with what you do as an animal PI.

hey numberingravens!
I'll be in Ops Management too yay! Where have u been looking to live? it's hard looking for apartments since we don't live there!

Hi! Congrats to you!!
I've been looking online at just about every apartment listing there is- but I'm going down in December to try to find a place. There were a bunch of new buildings going up all along Reams Road- but I can't find the listing for any of them, I don't know if they're done or what. I just REALLY don't want to have to sit in tourist traffic... so I don't know. I wish they'd sponsor housing for all positions!!!
