Interests in staying at a DLR Disney Hotel dropping...

Disney probably doesn’t want a lot of the former because they spend less on property.
When you say "on property" do you mean at the hotels or in the parks? I would argue that they sell more merchandise, food and drinks to Magic Key holders than they do to an average family on vacation.

I mean hotel stores (merch), valet parking, restaurants, bars, cabanas, pool dining…. “all in” spending per room.

Also, “on property” hotels are great for MK’s because they are never/rarely blocked out from the parks as long as they use the “hotel allotment” of reservations.

Not trying to crap on fans but...lets call a spade a spade. Online chat is not what the majority of people think, no one will care about the Rivers of America being gone once the new Carsland opens at WDW and most people won't want to replace the New Avatar E ticket with the old Monsters inc ride.
I think people will always miss Rivers Of America. I feel really bad for WDW! I'll miss Monster's Inc, too.

I have a timely question / situation regarding MPLL and staying on property at the DLH.

When buying the park tickets, I went ahead and purchased the MPLL in advance for each day. However, now with this additional MPLL instead of EE, do we still get to utilize the complimentary MPLL? Or is it something separate. I am not sure if anyone has experienced this yet, since it is so fresh?

Also, with being DVC with a WDW home resort. We had to book at the 7 month window, which resulted in two separate bookings with two different view types. With it being ONE MPLL per guest per DAY and we technically have two separate resort reservations will we get two complimentary MPLL?

With this being so fresh I am not sure.

part of the reason we prefer on site is because we have little kids and they really enjoy taking a break to swim at the disney pools and do the slides and take naps and when they wake up from their nap we usually do a character dining dinner and its convenient to have everything in one spot close

You are not receiving LLMP with your hotel stay. You are receiving are a LL for ONE MP attraction, effectively a MEP (multi-experience pass) that you can use on any one MP attraction without the need to book a time in advance.

As much as I love Disneyland and the resort hotels and coming from NY/Long Island to Anaheim, there is NO incentive to stay on site and I have always stayed on site. Corporate is cutting. I can easily go to Disneyland Paris which has 1 hour early entry or WDW which still has early entry. I prefer Disneyland but guess what people have other travel choices. $600 dollars at GCH a night with a sale is not the Ritz Carlton. Something has to give and will give. You can go worldwide now if you want a Disney fix.
