We booked AKL Cl with the 4/3 last year, but we couldn't book it right away with the deal.

We had a room only that we changed over to a package when rates came out. When the 4/3 was announced, we weren't able to change it over to the 4/3 because no CL rooms were available with the deal. A few weeks later, one opened up so we were apply to apply the pin.

It really just depends on availability.

We were hoping for a pin before we booked, but it looks like we are going to have to book in the next few weeks without a pin or package deal so we can book our dining when it switches over to 180 days.

We were planning on May 2-10 at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I'm planning sons graduation trip/celebration for May 18th-28th, looks like there will be a few of us there at the same time.
Is there a strong possibility for a code at the POP?
I love that I have so many to share this wait with.

Newbie here. We are going May 2-9 and are booked for POR. Would LOVE a 4/3 extension or any deal, really. Does much time ever go by when they don't offer some type of special?

On a side note, anyone who has been in early May know what the crowds are like? Wait times?

It dosn't seem like there has been much time between deals recently. I'm
sure everyone waiting is going to get something, at least I hope you do.

We went in early May of '08 and the crowds were manageable. It got busy in the afternoons because of school groups, but we still had decent wait times.

I booked in April 2009 for May 2009 and was able to get the 4/3 deal. Waiting for it again in 2010!

A friend told me they will most likely extend it past March like they did this year...I hope they do because we got to stay at the GF and now I'm SPOILED but the only way I can (legally ) afford to go back is if they offer that deal!

So....if I WOULD book a package now, and they offer this 4/3 later, can I apply it? I'm afraid to do that becasue I need the air transportation and what if they make me cancel and re-book? I'm anxious to get it locked in but would HATE to not be able to apply the savings (kind of like buying a car and then you see it 3 months later at $3000 off!)

This is seriously keeping me up at night. Do you recommend booking or waiting?

I'm so thrilled to have found this board!

My family was originally going in February, but wanted my brother to be able to join us for part of the trip, so now we're going May 10-17, celebrating my high school graduation and birthday. Hoping for the 4/3 deal so we can splurge on a deluxe. If not, it's okay, as I keep reading good things about POR, our resort of choice!

We're booking through AAA. My brother will be staying with us the last two nights of the trip, and we asked our travel agent if we'd have to pay anymore for him to spend those last couple of nights with us. She said we would not. We're also doing the DDP; do we pay for him the last two days? Should we just pay out of pocket for him? Thought I'd ask other DISers if they had any experience with this.

I got the 30/35/40 pin last week as well! We were originally booked on a AAA package at POP. We were able to move over to POFQ with the pin code for 10dollars more than our POP AAA package. This thrilled my mom as this is the resort she really wanted to stay at but we couldn't justify the extra money for a mod when we booked initially. BTW, we're going May 6 - 14

I just signed up on Disney's website, did some of the trip planner types of things -- pricing vacations, requesting the DVD, and making our own custom park maps (basically feeding their computers lots of data about our trip) and the code came via email the other night.

I'd say probably a month turnaround, tops. We've been to Disney before but I'm quite certain they never had my email address.

Now the question is, garden view or lagoon view?

Lagoon view My BF's parents are paying for our trip as a graduation present to us both, so we can now splurge for Poly Lagoon View Club level all under the budget they gave us! I can't wait!

I hate that I just got the code and the resort we wanted is already filled for 30/35/40 pin I just got yesterday!!!
What's the deal?!?

When I spoke with the CM about normal rates, and then with the pin rates, the CM said the only resorts left for this pin were one's I wouldn't even consider. (I know I sound like a snob) I then said that I had only just got the pin yesterday, how did they fill so fast?!? She said the code had been out for two weeks! How did it happen that I got them just yesterday, she said it's all in how Marketing sends them out!! I'm so frustrated.
My only saving grace is that someone may cancel, but of course this means calling like a maniac over the course of the next 7 months.
I wonder if it would work that I stayed at the I'm not so thrilled about resort for part of the stay and then maybe the other will be available for the other half of the stay. Oh, I don't know.
Does anyone have a hopeful idea or word of advice?

We got the resort we wanted after all, and I only had to call back the one time!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so flippin excited I'm about to do back flips, and for a woman about to hit 40 and of the opinion that past a certain age your as* should never go above our head for any reason, should tell you how flippin excited I am!!!



There is no excitement like the excitement that comes with booking your WDW vacation!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here!!!! We received the 30/35/40 pin code and I nearly passed out when I saw it in my inbox.....AKL here we come!!!! May 14th - May 23rd!!! Can't wait!!!!

Just beware - lagoon view = ferry boat noise! I'd save the $$ and go for garden view.
