Would like some clarity on the rental situation

And tbh i would be very cautious telling an MS cast member thats questioning you about renting as if youre doing something wrong, "Im just calling to let you know im renting this out!"

Because apparently they dont even know their own rules. If shes digging that much its because she thinks im not supposed to be doing something that is allowed. I dont want to deal with this person any further. Many many times MS gives wrong information such as when a CM told me that renting wasnt allowed period. If they think this then why wouldnt they think they can cancel my reservation.

Then that is how the CM should word the question, it should not be up to us to interpret their nonsense! Perhaps you would like to give a training session to the CM's, you know more than they do about their own docs.

I didn't see that in my SSR. What does this even mean? If an LLC buys, anybody can use it, but it has to be "recreational"? As opposed to what? Staying in a hotel for business? Staying in a hotel because your house burned down? A trust doesn't even have officers. What are they supposed to be buying for?

As opposed to a corporation using the room for a business reason.

Because the owner is a business there is no way to say “personal” use so they use recreational use.

Both mean the same things.,,guests are staying at the resort for vacation purposes.

I noticed that there is a new option in the menu prior to speaking to MS. ‘Press 1 if you are using for personal use, Press 2 if you are not using for personal use’. I was not asked if the reservation was for personal use when making the booking after I had already chosen option 1.

The phone message literally says (I paraphrase here as I didn’t record the exact language) ‘in making a reservation you agree to the terms and conditions and acknowledge that the reservation is for personal use and not commercial use… press 1 if you are making for personal use / press 2 if not for personal use’

I imagine the person manning the ‘not for personal use’ line is going to be pretty quiet

An interesting move…but IMO, it is going to cause confusion without context.

What they also added though is about lead guest changes, adding guests or changing dates.

Same here. I prefer the recorded message so they hopefully dont further question. Asking you if its for personal use only when your name is on the reservation was silly. But now im anxious that ill accidentally press 2
