Pretty boring at work here in da 'burgh.... now i don't know what to do with myself now that hockey season is over.... :worried: my boys played really well in the second half of the game - the wings were just the better team and they definately deserved to win the series... i was pretty proud of our fans down at the arena though, not only did they cheer "lets go pens" at the end of the game to show them that we're still proud of them no matter what -but they were classy and cheered when detriot raised the cup on our home ice which i know had to be hard to do.... so either way it was a good run and maybe we'll get em next year :thumbsup2

NC- i didn't know that your dd's name was chloe! that is one of my all time favorite names! Chloe Noel and Addison Paige (for when i have babies :goodvibes )

but i'm sure i'll change my mind a million times :rotfl:

Chloe Noel - I really like that! Ours is Chloe Caitlin. We know another Chloe who is Chloe Elizabeth but her family calls her 'Chloe Beth' (which is a completely southern thing.)

I like Addison Paige, you could do that for a boy or girl, but would you change the spelling. I never know about those things.

Well, I'm back.

After I posted, Dh called and said to come downtown and go to lunch with him, so I did and we went to Jerome Bettis' place----http://www.jeromebettisgrille36.com/

it was good. Had a wonderful waitress- she was so funny.

Then I went shopping and now I'm home.

Thanks for the kind words RF-
if we have to move, it will be the third time in 18 months. We're used to it- Dh averages a new position every 2.2 years. Corporate ladder and all. LOL- you'd think we were running from the law, hahahaha.
Anyway- I see you keep talking about babies and such.......... anything you want to share with your MAYer buds??????;) :rolleyes1

NC- hum............ sounds like a hot summer there in good ole' AR!!! ::yes::
Thanks for the heads up on the time for opening of Toontown. Last time we got there at 9:15- I wanted them to ride Barnstormer with Goofy- but Mickey and Belle fell in love with each other, and the rest is history... :lovestruc

Have a great night all!
Jo

Well it is hot today but VERY breezy. It got up to 94. Low humidity. I love it!

Have a great night!

Oh, tomorrow is the opening of a new movie theatre in our neighborhood. It will have 1 IMAX screen with first run movies on it as well as 9 other screens. We are so excited! :woohoo:

Good evening Mayers!

Hi Jo...glad you didn't get lost! Wow...lots of moves in a very short time  We bought this house almost 8 years ago, and I think we'll be here for quite a while...

NC, I think I told you...my kitty's name is Chloe :cat:

RF, I have to say, that was one heckuva game, one heckuva series. The Pens were formidable foes, and it was great fun to watch, every game. I thought for sure they were gonna pull another rabbit out of their hat and get a goal in the last 30 seconds like they did the other night! And it went behind Osgood soooooooo close to the goal line...just like inches! Incredible game. And I thought both sides showed great sportmanship at the end, and the Pens players and fans were very gracious. Wouldn't it be great to have a rematch next year? :goodvibes

I just bought new Crocs for my trip -- I know, I know, it's not until September :rotfl2: But they are cute and super comfy:

http://shop.crocs.com/pc-1185-4-ada...=41p&subsectionname=footwear&section=products

I got them in chocolate, but I think I might get a second color, too ::yes:: And I am SO not a shoe buying girl...I'm not a fashionable girl at all, and almost always buy my clothes for comfort over looks. But these are cute enough to wear with a sundress. AND I can wear them to the waterparks! :yay:

Hello MAYers! :goodvibes

Things sure are quiet here in MAYerland lately. :confused3

Mari, Huggie, Sulley. . . Hope all is well!

Hey RF & Katie! :yay:

NC - It is HOT HOT HOT here too! In the 90's and sticky humid. I tell ya, it is either cold or hot here, we get very little in-between.

Hey Sea - I suppose you are having a perfect 80 degree and sunny day as always!! :rotfl:

JO - Boy that must be really rough on the kids moving so much. I don't think I could do it. Hope all works out for you! :wizard:

Last day of school here! :woohoo: And early dismissal. Early dismissal from half day kindergarten:laughing: , why even make the poor kids get out of bed!! DS6 will be home around 10:40 and DS9 will be home around 1:00!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Mornin MAYers-

I had to drop off the MDX for it's 30,000 mile tune up. Good grief- could someone please explain to me what costs $489 to "check" out on a car??????:(

They gave me a loaner- a smaller SUV- the RDX. Don't like it as much. I begged for an RL- my fave Acura sedan... of course, why wouldn't a $50K car NOT be my fave :lmao: --- and the guy said they can't get those as loaner vehicles.
Sooooooooo-

I'm passing the time until I pick it up by going to lunch with one of my BFF's at my fave Chinese restaurant-http://www.taipeipgh.com/index.html

Shelly- I know- a move is always tough. But you know, our kids are sort of used to moving by now. I grew up only moving once, when I was in 6th grade. It was hard on me, but I adjusted quickly. I have found that our kids do better than we think they will. DH was an Air Force kid so he moved like we do- he's used to it- he has lived in:
Boston
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Alabama
Florida
Guam
Charleston
Belgium
Florida (again)
Montana
Charleston (again)
Then, since we've been married, we've lived in an apt in Charleston, then a house there, then Rochester NY, then Arkansas, now PGH and then the next state- if it happens.

I guess we are just a moving family, LOL. When we've been a place for around 2 years, we both get a bit antsy, and he'll get that look in his eye right about the same time as I do and we both know it's time to go. So it's time again, we just don't know how long it will take before it happens.

Anyway- glad your kids are out of school-
ours have 15 more days-- the strike and all- and we will be finished!::yes::

Have a great day!!!

Jo

HEY - WHERE'S MARI BEEN?!?!?!! I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HER IN DAYS! AND SEA?!?! WTH....

ALRIGHT I'M GOING HOME FOR THE DAY - I'M MAKING MEATLOAF FOR DINNER FOR SOME FRIENDS .. :rotfl2: I KNOW IT IS A RANDOM FRIDAY NIGHT! - I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW EXACTLY WHEN I BECAME CAROL BRADY!! :rotfl: - THEY ARE ALL EXCITED FOR AN ACTUAL HOME COOKED MEAL (MY FRIEND RACHEL CANNOT COOK TO SAVE HER LIFE :lmao: - HAHA I STILL LIKE HER THOUGH)

Hi guys... Sorry i haven't been on. My DD has been sick for the past 2 days, feer, cough runny nose.. all the good stuff... and one of my dear friends in Florida her son was killed last sunday. So i have been on the phone with her contacting the media since his killer hasn't been found. They killed the kid over a gold chain... he was only 16. I hope they catch those guys. But i have been busy. I will write my last installement of my trip hopefully this weekend.

Jo - I hope if you do have to move everything goes smoothly...

Shelly - I guess you guys in PA sent us the humidity and 90 degree weather.. its suppose to be like that this weekend. I already warned my mother that i will be in her house all weekend... she has a pool in her backyard so that is where you will find me.

RF - Sorry about your team. I heard it on the morning radio show that i listen to on the way to work and i instantly thought of you...

Sea - Sulley - where r u guys?

KB - you can never have enough shoes.... especially Crocs i have about 5 pairs... my DD has about 8 different colors...

NC - i'm happy you are having good weather over there....

Checking in! Beautiful day in SM about 78 and brezy. No DL tomorrow. Sniff! But going Monday! I will post up our report about TSM AP preview event from my blackberry.

Hi guys! Busy weekend here.

We went to see Kung Fu Panda at the new Imax theater here. Pretty cute. My dd and I went with my parents to the Mrs. Arkansas pageant last night. That was fun. My parents are sponsors so we had free tickets on the front row. My dd loved that because she could see that stage.

Today was church and we are finishing up packing for camp. I take the kids to their camp tomorrow. They are so excited!

Morning all.... this weekend was just a HOT & HUMID weekend.... but i spent most of my time in an air conditioned room or the pool so i was cooled off. Today it's suppose to be even worst. and my AC in the car gave up. I'm going today to get it fixed.... my DH says it just needs some frion (sp) or whatever it is... i'm hoping that is what it is.... today it's catch up time at work.... i was out thurs and fri so let's see how busy i get....

Have a great day! I am heading out to drive my kids to camp! We bring lawn chairs to get in a line that doesn't open until 3 pm so our kids can get their first choice of bunks in their cabin. We bring lawn chairs so we can sit in line. It is a tradition. Isn't that crazy? :rotfl2:

Our high today is supposed to be 90 degrees. That line that we sit in is outside! I hope I don't :faint: .

Have a great day!

Hope the AC in your car is easy and inexpensive to fix Mari!

hey y'all!

Mari- I hope your AC gets fixed soon. Sorry to hear about your friends son. That is so tragic. Have they found the killers??

NC- oh my- where is the camp? It's going to be hot here today, so I know that AR is just sweltering at this point. Have a fun time- pixie dust for a good bunk for the kiddos.:wizard:

Our weekend was good.
We didn't so anything on Saturday- DH and I wen to Outback and to see IJones that night. Pretty good movie!

Yesterday we went to church then came home and grilled steaks and then He cut the grass and I did a project for Belle for her teacher.

Today I'm cleaning and not going anywhere.

Hope everyone survives the heat! Popsicles are our friends...
ps...
there's this new popscicle- don't know if it's out yet-- called Fruit Chillers Freeze and Eat Tubes.
They are yummy and have no high fructose corn syrup. just and FYI...:yay:

Jo

hi all....

Jo - yes they did find the killer. It was all because of the press and i thank them for all they did. someone finally called the cops and told them who it was. He is now in jail awaiting trial. We are so happy that they found him.

Morning all :grouphug: ...just checking in...:surfweb: We have been keeping busy and ssssshhh! reading another disneyfan website...so have not been over here much...:3dglasses

Jo any word on the transfer???
Now to see if I can catch-up on this thread....:moped:

Good morning!

Had a good weekend. Weather was nice and mild, in the 70's and it is suppose to be like this all week so that is nice.

Going to ride the new Toy Story Mania ride today. Our preview time is between 4 and 9 pm. The whole family is going. I will take some pics and post them up for you.

Did you guys know that Buzz Lightyear went up on the Space Shuttle last week?
Check out these sites: http://www.nasa.gov/externalflash/Buzz_Lightyear/web/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PsOB3flufQ

Also, watch the news on June 17th, there is going to be a special "grand opening" announcement from Buzz via the ISS regarding Toy Story Mania at DL.

Mari - I am so sorry to hear about your friend's son. Glad that the authorities catch the perp. So much tragedy for so little substance. What an outrage.

I hope your AC gets fixed soon. I hate it when something doesn't work right.

Jo - "Fruit Chiller Freezes" and "Eat Tubes"? LOL What a strange name. I can just picture the marketing people sitting around a table "We need a new name for a popsicile...how about eat tube...it looks like a tube and you eat it!" Stay cool!

JC - What? You visit other Disney web sites? How dare you! Where is your loyalty to the motherboard of all motherboards? :rotfl2:

NC - How long are kids away to camp? Is it far away?

Hey guys!!

I am here we had Meghan's 3rd bday on the 31st Sat and her party as well. I cant believe my baby is 3. Then I was so sick last week, I mean sick 101 fever horrible swollen gland ( only on the right side) I couldt eat or drink anything since last Tues. I am finally eating. I was so sick. I dont remember being that sick. My mom basically had the kids and Neil came home early from work whenever he could to take care of them. I am finally getting better after steriods, vicodin, and a second try of another antibotics.

So what is up here?

Jo- Where are you moving too? Is it on that list? I hope it is closer to me.

Mari- Sorry about your friend's son. That is horrible.

Seacrest-Hi

Shelly- Hey lady

RF- How is married life treating ya?

JC- How are you?

New Crew- Hey, how are you?

Off to bed ttyl

This heat is bad good thing for AC and a pool:banana:

Hi all!

Got the kids all settled in at camp! The camp they go to is called Brookhill. It is just outside of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. It is in the Ouchita Mountains. The countryside there is just beautiful. You can see some of it at the website:

http://www.brookhillranch.com/flash.html

You drop them off on Monday at 3 p.m. and pick them up on Saturday at 12:30.

It is only 1.5 hours drive from here but the drop off is an all day deal as you sit in that line from around noon until 3 p.m. when you can get their cabin assignments. The kids love it because they can start running around the grounds. My kids love this camp. It is very rustic. You sleep in screened in cabins and shower in concrete block buildings. I have sent them to camps with air conditioned cabins with bathrooms/showers in their cabins, with air conditioned dining halls. But guess what? :confused3 My kids love roughing it. Last year was their first year at Brookhill and they said, we never want to go back to our other camp. They think the other camp is not really a "summer camp". They said it was like staying at a hotel. (Which would be the part I would like about it.) They want to CAMP!

Brookhill is awesome. My kids love the songs and traditions and they grow in their relationship with Christ. My prayer for all the kids this week is that they will be safe and have a deeper relationship with Christ.

The kids have a ton of fun. I can't even think of all the activities.

Bumper Boats
Big Lake
Small Lake
Fun Swim
Tennis
Horseback riding
Hodge Podge (which is game room type of stuff like ping pong, air hockey)
Newspaper
Crafts
Riffles
Archery
Nature Walk
Petting Zoo (feeding animals and petting them)
Go Carts

And I'm telling you I'm not even naming all the activities.

Whew! I am tired!

Do any of your kids go to camp?
