Huggie - hope you are feeling better soon.

I need to read the thread when I am not so tired.

Have a great night!

:bitelip: GOOD MORNING MAYers!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hyper:

Too too much coffee this morning. I'm on warp speed.... where is everyone? I need to chat.

Yesterday I had so much energy I cleaned like a crazy woman. imagine that! there isn't any comapny coming over or anything and i cleaned!:rotfl:

I have to tell you all that I love my new washing machine. it's awesome. It holds so many clothes, I am just amazed.

NC- my kids have never been to camp, but MCat was supposed to go this summer with our church. They were going to go to Illinois, 10 hours away- we put down a deposit and everything. Then we realized that camp was being held the last weeek of school (b/c of the strike).:furious:
The Pastor said that we could get a form for excused absence due to religious purposes, BUT once we requested the forms from the school, we read on it that there would be NO excused absences the last 2 weeks of school- no exceptions.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO---- long story short- she's worked too hard for her A's and honor classes to risk it, so I got to be the mean old mom and tell her she couldn't go. The wailing could be heard for miles.:( Anyway- next year, if the move to the place that shall remain unnamed ;) doesn't go through- she will go then.
It sounds like your kids have a wonderful experience ahead of them for this week- I'll say a prayer that God will move mightily in their lives...

Huggie- I hope you are feeling better soon! gosh- you've been really sick!!!
well, as far as the move- still no word. DH is talking to the hiring mgr tomorrow- so we'll see what happens. As for the location.......:worried: it's not closer to you.
I can't say where it is yet. The job hasn't even been posted on the company's website, so we're thinking it's just an internal, VP's talking and saying "You will move here" type thing. We are in a bit of a pickle in that we have a co worker acquaintance that has heard of the job and thinks he might be in the running and has no clue that the Mgr has been in contact with my DH. So, needless to say, we're being tight lipped about it.
Well, sort of. I mean, I have to tell my buds in MAYer land.

It's raining and sunny at the same time today- I'm not sure about this Pittsburgh weather.:confused3

Hey JC- how are you? <------ he's frozen as I'm typing this, LOL. hey- where is that banana that you posted for me that one time that danced that crazy dance?????

Sea- I was loving the pics- that one pic of you and your DW outside of TSM and there's that lady looking at y'all was funny. And the one of the outside of the ride with the roller coaster in the background was cool. Thanks for posting.

Have a great day everyone!!!!

Jo

Sea - Love the photos of Toy Story Mania. You look like you are having a great time!

Mari-I am so glad they caught the killer. ::cop: Sometimes I just think people think they will never get caught or if they do they won't go to jail. That is awesome!

Jo - That school thing just boggles my mind. That is really the pits and it stinks too. 10 hours is a long way. It must be a fabulous camp. I have just sent my kids to camps near us. They first went to Camp Winnamocka which is only an hour away. They loved it. It is tons of fun, but alas the cabins had AC and showers and restrooms, so the kids wanted to rough it. So now they go to Brookhill.

http://www.winnamocka.com/index2.html

I have really liked having them close so that if they get sick, etc., I can easily pick them up. I have never had to do that, but it is always in the back of my mind.

Oh, camp Winnamocka was started by a girl I went to High School with. She still owns it and it has developed into a great camp. Winnamocka is not a religious camp. It is just a get dirty and have fun being a kid camp.

Well, I need to do some things around here. Talk to you guys soon!

Hey All...well it finally started...June gloom. Early morning fog/marine layers come in and don't burn off until about noon or two p.m. This usually happens every June, then the rest of the summer is bright, sunny and hot. I was hoping this year it would be different but, no, it wasn't meant to be.

Got home last night around 11 pm. We stop for dinner last night for BBQ. Otherwise we'd be home sooner. Then my wife tells me, she needs help with a project for work. Helped her and got to bed at 12:15 or so.

We had a blast at DL/DCA yesterday. I am glad we were able to ride it 3 times. The ride is great fun. Much better than I thought it would be. Posting the pics and video tonight.

NC: My kids did go to camp, but not anymore...too old. They loved it everytime they went. The places sounds like a blast...I was so tired when I read your post, I thought it said "Boothill" :rotfl2: I am sure they will come back blessed and recharged.

Mari & Huggie: Hope you two are feeling better today.

RF: Where are you? When is the next installment of your TR?

Shelly: Is school out? Where are you?

Jo: Glad you like your new washing machine. Too bad that MC couldn't go to camp this year. Hopefully she will get to next year. Hoping and praying that everything goes smoothly with your husband's job. I know it can be stressful at times with all the "unknowns" that swirl around you.

Oh Yea, that lady in our picture looks like she is thinking "Is this picture going on that Internet thingy I keep hearing about?" :lmao:

Boothill!

:lmao:

Last year I think it was "Boothill". It nearly killed me. It was so stinking hot!

I finally finished my TR.....

NC - yes we were all relieved when they finally cought the killer. I was really afraid that they would catch him but he was bragging to friends about it so that got him caught.

Sea- TY for the link.... oh BTW GREAT pics of TSM.... i wish i could go....

I want my DD to go to camp when she gets older. i think that would be a great experience for her. i always waned to do something like that but the closest i got was my parent's sending me to day camps.... well the neighborhood i grew up in wasn't the best so i guess there no good summer camps around.

Here is my favorite picture of this year's WDW trip...

Hey Mari - I just read the final installment of your TR. I really liked the face painting on your DD. Very cool! Thank you for sharing your TR and the wonderful pictures. It was another aMAYzing Mayer vacation! - Sea

Hello MAYers!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer, even though it's not officially summer yet. Sure has felt like it around here. Temps in the mid 90's for several days. Finally cooled into the 80's today.

Sea - Looks like you had a nice time on TSM!

Mari - Enjoyed your TR! :goodvibes

NC - Hope your kids are having fun at camp! Sounds like a wonderful experience. My kids haven't gone yet. Our church offers one and it's only about 45 minutes away, but the boys (and me:laughing: ) just aren't ready yet.

Huggie - Sounds like you have been very sick. :worried: Hope you are starting to feel better. DS6 woke up with a sore throat this morning. I already started giving him medicine!

Hey Katie, JC, RF, JO, & AF!! :yay:

Sulley - Where are you???? :confused3 Hope all is well!

It's been crazy around here. My friend's (and neighbor) husband lost his 2 year battle with cancer Sunday morning. Very sad. They have an 11 year old little boy. So we have been busy with that. DS6 starts t-ball soon and they both start swim lessons next Monday. And we are getting ready to leave for DH's work training in State College / Hershey trip in a few days.

Sorry to hear about your neighbor. Poor little boy it's going to be so sad for the mom when he asks about him and such. I'll pray that God can help them overcome this difficult time.

Have fun when you go to Hershey park. I haven't been there in years. But i love that place.....

Hey Shelly...that is so sad about your neighbor. I am glad you are able to help them out during this difficult time.

Be sure to take lots of pictures of Hershey. I would like to read a trip report.
