I just talked to one of friends this morning. She is getting over strep. I am going to wait til tomorrow to see how I feel. Could you imagine a 29 year old with strep?

Let us know when you hear about the talk. When my dh has had those talks, I usually pace and pray until I get a call from him. My dh says it is harder on the spouse than it is on the person in the meeting. He says, he knows exactly what is going on minute by minute and I am just at his mercy waiting for the meeting to be over. And those meetings can go on for hours!

From what I can tell, the ride is exactly the same at both parks. The queues and buildings are much different.

We rode the ride three times. My boys and wife really loved it. I think it is a great ride/interactive/game environment. To be honest with you, I was a bit doubtful that the ride would be great. However, I think it has a lot of neat and new things that I haven't experienced before and was pleasantly surprised each time I rode the ride. The 3D effects are outstanding, I like it how things feel like they are flying by you, and that you get squirted with water too. It is quite an "sensory" experience.

How would I rate it? I would give it a "D" Ticket status.

Thanks everyone. I really didn't know her husband too well. I met her through the PTO at the school when we moved here. Then they also just moved into our development a few months ago. They had a big house with a lot of acreage and wanted to downsize and have a place that she could take care of on her own. So we all knew this was coming, but it's still very sad.


Sounds like everyone is getting sick lately. NC, Huggie, Mari. Sure hope everyone feels better soon! DS6 still has a little bit of a sore throat and a little cough. It's not slowing him down though!

We just gave the dog a bath. Now I need to finish the laundry and finish packing for the trip. Not sure what we are going to do when we get there! This wasn't really a planned trip, but since DH's company is paying for the hotel we figured that we might as well make a little get away out of it! I don't think we are going to go to Hersheypark. It's very nice, but we were just at WDW and it is supposed to be really hot again this weekend, so I don't think DH is up for standing in those lines in the heat again. We will definitely go to Hershey's Chocolate World. And are thinking about going to Penn's Cave. We'll see what DH wants to do, it is Father's Day weekend!!

Hey Sea - I have an idea! Why don't we do a "house swap"!!! Then you can see all the wonderful things here in PA and I can see CA!! I think I might be getting the better deal there!

Hershey is great though. We go at least once a year. We've never been to Penn's Cave before, but it's within a half hour of where we will be staying for DH's work training, so we will probably try it. We've been to Indian Echo Caverns (http://www.indianechocaverns.com/home.html) before and it's very cool, it's a walking tour and this one at Penn's Cave is a boat tour so I think it will be very neat!

hey everyone!

it's been pretty stressful around here, it seems like everything is just getting worse and i don't know how to deal with any of it - so i haven't really had time to post in a while

it wasn't as hard to catch up this time though - i think i only missed like 5 pages or something

mari - congrats on finishing your tr - i didn't finish reading yet, but i'm close and i am sorry to hear about your friends son ... but, relieved that they know who it was...

shelly - looks like a fun trip - i copied the info for the one with the boat tour and we may make a weekend trip and visit there sometime this summer

jo - hang in there - i hope you hear something soon so you don't fry your nerves

sea - i promise i will soon be less of a failure with my tr.... i'll probably keep you guys entertained slowly but surely (maybe even until all of our next visits )

I JUST got my pictures from my photographer - and even though he was a bum - most of them turned out pretty cute (he's just lucky that i am photogenic...)

Hi RF - i'm sorry to hear that everything is stressful for you. I am glad that your pics turned out ok. I know you were stressing out right before the wedding. But it all turned out great.

I know i miss our talkative days plus it's summer and everybody has stuff to do. THe same thing happened last year right after all our trips the thread slowed down but NEVER died... Us MAYers stick together....

Morning all...... crazy day today... once i get out of work i have to run to Costco to buy the hamburgers and stuff for my DD bday party tommorow and then run to party city to buy more stuff because my DH surprised me last night with the whole oh by the way i invited 6 more families to the party.... AAHHHHH i want to kill him.....
