Ladies and Gentleman this will be the new promotion for 2013,

I understood exactly what you were saying. Your post was more of a "this deal is laughable" post not that you were actually laughing at someone who was excited about saving $181.00.

Holy Smokes!!! Everyone calm down. Let me explain my point of view more clearly. I wasn't laughing at the person, I was laughing at WDW trying to "earn" my business with $181 "discount" when I'm spending $10k of vacation money in Orlando on a yearly basis.

I guess the difference with me is WDW needs to earn my business by offering me a deal that I consider fair. WDW "rack rate" is not something I will pay. It's grossly overpriced as a whole when you factor everything in. The food prices are laughable compared to other places. Some of you book a package and then hope for a "deal". The ones that can't afford rack rate cancel, some of you can afford and claim to be happy with any kind of discount.

I don't need a "discount" to book a vacation, I need a price that I find fair. If rack rate is fair then no need for a discount. WDW or any other business needs to earn my business with a good product, good service, and a fair price. The FD promo we have booked our last two WDW packages with make it a fair value for us, without that deal I would have went somewhere else. It isn't about what we can afford, because obviously were doing alright taking $10k vacations on a regular basis. We love the WDW product, have always been happy with the service, so if the price is fair they will get most of my vacation money. If the price isn't fair I refuse to compromise my principals.

So I wasn't making fun of the person, but the thought that WDW would think $181 would earn "my" business. If my vacation cost $1800 than $181 is a bigger deal, but there are obviously other nice vacation destinations that will offer me a lot more than that to get $10k of my money. Like I said the FD promo for the 3 of us over 14 nights worked out to about $2300-$2500 when we added the bills up. That factored into the overall cost of the package made it a good deal.

:thumbsup2

Woohoo!! Called and got the deal this morning with a Disney Visa, saved $1200 on our 8 night YC stay for April!!! I know not all the resorts were showing a good discount, but we sure got lucky :) Now I am anxiously awaiting the confirmation email so I can see it in writing and convince myself I didn't hear it wrong, ha!

What number and code? Don't see it on the rewards site.

I didn't need a code, just asked for the Disney Visa discount and she brought it right up.

Anyone have any luck booking a package with the dining plan yet? I was told that you can't add dining.

I added the discount to my package that already had dining and it wasn't a problem, maybe call back and see if you get a different CM BC it doesn't seem like that's right.

I'm definitely going to call back. The castmember that I spoke with didn't know about the Visa deal at all. Didn't surprise me....we all know that us Disers know about deals way before the CMs do.;)

I tried to look back but could not find the post about the Dis Visa Card discount? Can someone just give me the basic highlights of it here? Thanks!

OH goodness.... I'm going on 86 minutes on hold right now... :faint: I really hope someone picks up soon... I'm afraid to hang up and call back later though!

Thnks for posting this was open for early booking everyone! I first saw that info at about 10:50. Got the all circuits are busy a few times. Got thru to the automated system at 11 AM exactly. On hold for 21 minutes. CM Passion didn't ask for the code; I just told her I was looking to book a new package with the Disney Visa Spring Offer. Gave her my resort & room type preference & dates. I did the survey at the end of the call & my total time on the phone was 32 minutes. Saved $1186 off 5 night YC Lagoon View Club + 6 day park hoppers (2 adults)!!

This is exactly what I figured out using Danny's info. Thanks Danny & everyone else for the inside info & head's up!!! This is a great way to beat those post Christmas blues!! :santa:

My pleasure!

It made my morning to finally determine what our vacation cost would be!!!

Now... If only to get a better PIN code!!

Does this promo also include a room only discount? We are passholders and don't need tickets.

My TA got the Visa deal applied to my March 20-27 trip; $400 savings and I'm thrilled.

I don't have a Disney Visa so I was wondering will there be any rooms left with this discount by the time it's offered to the general public?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

After 3 LOOOOOOONG hours of being on hold, I finally got the discount applied to our package! :cool1: We saved $ 909, so that was totally worth waiting for!

Good luck everyone!! Fingers crossed! :lovestruc

We had our package w/ deluxe dining / park hoppers and resort stay and they just applied the discount to our package. She said that they apply the discount to the tickets and resort and the dining is the full price. :thumbsup2

Please someone reassure those of us who have to wait until next week to book. We need it!!! ::yes::
