Ladies and Gentleman this will be the new promotion for 2013,

Can someone confirm-

Wilderness Lodge for 2 adults and 1 child for June 5- 11 is $331 per night?
Spreadsheet hasn't been great on my phone!

I'd have to be nuts to book an "offer" like this one.:confused3

According to Danny's rate sheet, my room-only reservation in a 1BR Villa (Bay Lake View) June 1-6 would cost me $3,570.00:headache:

The same room/dates priced online thru Disney's reservation system is $3,453.75.

The AAA rate I currently have booked, again - same room type/dates, is $2,763.05.::yes::

Never thought I'd say this with such heart-felt appreciation, but...
THANK YOU, AAA!:worship:

I think the discount is more in the tickets than the room in some instances. Some here seem to think that the some of the rooms are more expensive to make up for that ticket discount. So if you are going to buy tickets figure that before you write it off. We will get a little off of both room and tickets on our reservation at POFQ but it is not much.

Exact same situation here. Danny's discount chart + discounted tickets still costs more money than rack rate + tickets on the disney site. As of right now, I'm thinking I will be taking away some nights in disney since the deals don't seem to be happening for us. Gosh, there are TONS of rooms available at Easter time and I highly doubt people are going to jump on the new deal since it's higher than rack rate, even with tickets added in.

does anyone know if I can keep the room rate that I have now but get the discounted tickets?? (I'm hoping but I'm not thinking it will work)

This promo doesn't come close to FD for us. The FD promo typically saves us about $2500 on a 14 night stay in December at CSR. The cost of DDP for 3 people for 14 nights is about $1900, but we get about $2500 worth out of it. 25% off with a few bucks off tickets will save maybe half of that at best. Disney will need to come out with FD for Dec if they want our business again next year.

I actually burst out laughing when someone was excited about saving $181. We have been to Orlando 4 of the last 5 Decembers for 14 nights at a time, the trips cost us a total of $7k-$11k depending what we do. Saving $181 will not influence us at all, its actually a slap in the face and might make me go elsewhere.

The room rates for our mod, and most mods are saving around 15% off rack (assuming they are tax included totals) for most of the dates I checked. Along with the ticket savings, it's not a bad deal for those.

It seems like the deluxe prices are just not a deal, except for the tix?

Ok....

The 1-BR BLT Villa on Danny's chart for my dates PLUS 3 5-day park hoppers from post #1 of this thread equals $4,419.00.

My current AAA discount on the same room/resort/dates quoted above plus 3 5-day park hoppers thru the special link in my Mousesavers newsletter equals $3,719.90.

I stand by original statement...
I'd have to be nuts to book this "offer."

Ok but try not to sound like a pretentious jerk when you talk about how this isnt a good discount for you. For the record MANY people stay for afew days 4-6 at value resorts. Their vacations might only be 1000-2000 dollars. 181 off 1500 or 1000 is a decent savings.

For some people trying to give their families the best they can, busting their butts and saving where they can 181 might just be a huge difference. And if its not to you, like it isnt to me, try not to sound like such a jerk or to put people's vacations down so obviously. Seriiously "laughing" at someone being excited about savings ....

It doesn't come close to what we would save if we had free dining either. But, at this point in time, any discount is better than no discount. Our vacation doesn't cost as much as your's but we are staying for 11 days/10 nights and, $4,770 + for my family of three is nothing to sneeze at.

While $181 may not seem like a lot to you, it's a lot to many.

Wow that is pretty rude.

It may not be a great discount. But it is a discount.

I am not sure why that would make you laugh at someone else. :confused3

$181 is one more night that we could spend at WDW, two character meals, or the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for my girls.

My thoughts exactly. A $181 savings would mean that we could add a little something "extra" to the trip.

Yup, I think you're right. We've got BC booked for Easter time right now with AAA discount and right about now I'm very relieved and thankful to have that. I think we have 15% off room rate. This new deal is $160 per night higher than rack rate for our room (BC CL), and even with the discounted tix added in, rack rate is still less than the new deal.

WOW!!! $181 is alot of money! Nothing to laugh at. We spend a great deal of money too, but if I could save $10 that would make be excited.

VERY RUDE AND VERY UNCALLED FOR!!!

In regards to the post about $181 dollars and laughing at that person -

This is one thing I still don't understand about the Dis, even if someone thinks it...why post it??? In 'real life' we all have thoughts go through our heads, but don't speak them out loud. Why here do some people feel it is okay to post insulting / demeaning things? :confused3

We too would be happy to save $181 dollars. That money would be well spent elsewhere on our vacation for sure. :)
