Kicking off a summer of healthy living - June W.I.S.H Thread

I'm so sorry that I have been MIA. It has been a WEEK. I got pinkeye the day before graduation, so in addition to EVERYTHING I had to do to prepare for graduation, much of which my kindergarten colleagues take for granted since I direct the entire program, I had to go to the walk-in clinic, pick up my prescription, and a bouquet of flowers for a departing behavior therapist who lost her job due to funding cuts. (How's that for a run-on sentence?) My eyes were oozing and obviously, I couldn't wear any makeup on graduation day. The ceremony went mostly well...a glitch in the beginning with sound because a tech person interfered with my microphone instead of leaving it to me. I had a long coughing fit while a colleague was handing out her awards, so I ran out into the hallway where I coughed up a lung. I looked like I had the plague in photos and begged parents not to post them on Facebook which they did anyway. :sad1::sad::sad2:

I gave my virus including pinkeye to both DH and DD. They are miserable, and I feel terrible for bringing the plague into my home. Father's Day is a bust. Tomorrow is DH's birthday. He's getting a chest X-ray this afternoon, because he's just not improving.

My onboarding paperwork and requirements for my part-time summer job have been ridiculous and very time-consuming. I seriously CANNOT. I'm just trying to get ALL of my end of the year work done. I will deal with the rest of the nonsense when school is out on Wednesday.

Meditation is definitely something I need, and for the 8 weeks that I took the mindfulness class after school, I was really benefitting from it. Carving out time alone to do it is the issue.

My WOO HOO and thankfulness is that I survived last week and I only have two days left of school.IMG_6332.jpeg

Oh my goodness, you have had a week. Hopefully y'all are on the mend soon.

Self care today is relaxed low key day with a few errands and a few chores and a nice walk in the nature preserve. The weather is perfect, sunny and low 70's, and it is such a treat. There will be desk sitting this evening.

Self-care today is the house to myself! I did do some work on the pool, but mostly just called and texted various dads I know a happy day and took the cat out whenever she wanted - where I proceeded to read several chapters of my library book and spent far too much time scrolling Instagram while she sunned herself and waited to see if the chipmunk would come out.
