Ladies and Gentleman this will be the new promotion for 2013,

Please someone reassure those of us who have to wait until next week to book. We need it!!! ::yes::

Carla

think positively.....there's probably a certain number of rooms that they set aside for the Disney Visa cardholders, then the rest are for the General Public...they're not going to sell out of everything before they even release it! you're going to get it!!! Hang in there!!!

Yes, Carla, hang in there. Not every Disney Visa card holder is going to WDW during these times, so don't despair. If it makes you feel any bit better, I left my cell phone at home today. D'oh!

Don't worry, there will be lots of availability with the broad offer in Jan 3rd!

Thanks everyone, I feel much better. I can always count on my DIS friends!!! ;)

I may blow a gasket while waiting though.

Carla

Thanks all for offering reassurance to those of us who have to wait until the 3rd!!!:goodvibes The waiting is the hardest part!:scared:

After being told this morning that I couldn't add the dining plan and being quoted rack rate, I called back during my lunch hour. I was on hold, modified my reservation and took the survey and the phone call lasted 19 minutes and 52 seconds. (looked at the call time on my cell phone).

Before applying the promo, our vacation totaled: $4771.74

After applying the promo total: $4,134.75

Total saved: $636.99!

Our existing reservation was not booked with the Disney Visa but the castmember was able to modify our reservation by applying a $200.00 Disney Visa payment to the balance owed.

My mother has a reservation as does my daughter but neither have a Disney Visa. The castmember said that I could make a $200 Disney Visa payment on each of their reservations and they would get the discount as well. I'll talk it over with everybody this evening and decide whether or not to wait until January 3rd to modify or go ahead and change their reservations now.

**I almost forgot to add that the castmember said that I was the first one to call her today about the Disney Visa promotion. She said that their phone lines are "messed up because of the snow". I don't know where she was located but that could be part of the problem with the phones.

**Edited to add: When I asked whether or not she felt there would be availability on January 3rd (in case my mother and daughter decide to wait to modify), she said that she felt sure there would be. (We are booked at the CBR.)

I have a question out there for you experts..

We had planned on vacationing from June 8th to June 15th. Since the promotion is only good through June 14th, what are my options? Do I need to change my plans?

How long have you been waiting? I have been on hold for over 4 hours!!! UGH!

I called 4017-934-7639 this morning and during my lunch hour and both phone calls (including wait times) were less than 1/2 hour. The castmember that I spoke with just a while ago said that they were having problems with their phones because of the snow.

After 3 LOOOOOOONG hours of being on hold, I finally got the discount applied to our package! :cool1: We saved $ 909, so that was totally worth waiting for!

Good luck everyone!! Fingers crossed! :lovestruc

Look at it like this: you made $300 per hour! That's a great rate!!! :lmao:

Oh no! You need to hang up & try again! There's got to be something wrong. You can't possibly be in a real queue. I called at 11 AM & was totally done in 32 mins, including the survey.

I hung up and now I am trying again. If I hear the "O Canada" song one more time though....I may go nuts!

Spending some time today tweaking my spreadsheet during Blizzard Draco ;) My assumption is that the discount table and discount tickets include taxes. We are 2 adults, 2 children over 10 and 1 child under 10.

Here is what I got:
Date Rack Rate Discount Table
Mar 21 $558 $478
Mar 22 $604 $517
Mar 23 $604 $517
Mar 24 $626 $766
Mar 25 $626 $766
Mar 26 $626 $766
Mar 27 $626 $766
Mar 28 $626 $766
Mar 29 $626 $766

8 day tx w/PH $1737
Discount 8 day tx w/PH $1525

Disney Quote = $8089.43
Discount = $7633
Difference = $456.43
% off = 6%
I am really surprised the room rate goes up $140 per night. I know it is the week before Easter, but when did Disney raise rates after they are released in August?

Not sure where I messed up my math, but just got off the phone with the CM after applying the room and ticket discount (knowing my room only is for 3 days before the blackout period) my total savings is $753 or about 10%. :cool1:

pixiedust: Here's to everyone waiting and hoping for their big discount pixiedust:
