Guess who showed up this morning with no remorse for being missing for the last 3 days and worrying me. Tiger was sitting on the deck with the other 3 waiting for breakfast. No idea where she's been, she looks fine...

Today we met our friends’ granddaughters! It’s so nice to connect with the younger generation!

Our dog, Belle, died just before we moved to NJ, and I suppose we didn’t expect to have another dog buried in The Pines Pet Cemetery. Gus’s cremains will be buried, and unfortunately, we hadn’t left room, for his name on the headstone.

We will head home tomorrow if my system feels OK in the morning. I am so glad we came to Ohio!

Dad picked up our free photos this morning and said they came out nice. We enjoyed another lunch together. He did leave his doctor's office a message this morning. By now, he may have heard back. I sure pray he feels better. Thank you all so much for your extra prayers for him.

M, my roommate, went to dialysis early this morning. She has been super quiet since returning. I truly hope she is comfortable.

Grace of God, I get stronger daily. I am loving the warmer weather, too. Have a good evening my dear Quacker family. Pea, Dazed, and Taz, extra hugs. Also sending extra care and cheer to AuntieMe3, B&B, Carol, Frog, and Kirby. Tina, too, of course.

Good morning. Rained most of yesterday, rained overnight. Calling for more storms this afternoon and now a chance tomorrow and Wed. Is it ever going to end? The grass is going to need to be mowed twice to get it back to a normal height by the time we can all manage to mow.
Flood watch again today. Some places in WV got hit hard and a couple of people drowned when they were swept away. Sister in law sent me a pic Saturday night of the main road they drive down in Morgantown and it looked like a flowing river of mud. It's crazy.

I used to love watching Leverage when it was on regular cable. Now they have newer episodes called Leverage: Redemption on Prime and I'm binge watching it. Not much else to do with all the rain.

Tiger is missing again this morning. I'm trusting she'll show up when she gets hungry.

I'm grateful extra to God for a good night sleep. Dad did talk with his doctor yesterday who prescribed something stronger than Advil. Dad is supposed to take it once at bedtime. Later this week, should dad still not be feeling better, his doctor said to make an appointment. I think dad should go see the doctor (who he likes and has a long relationship with) to begin with. Extra dad prayers most appreciated.

We are on our way home. It was a wonderful trip, and we will be back to see Gus’s name on the headstone. We realized when we left Ohio, we didn’t leave a line for another dog’s name. Rather than buy a new headstone, we may have Gus’s name put on vertically. Maybe his name and a picture in the corner. The person who arranges the carving wasn’t in yesterday.

Take it easy - it's been many years since I've done close to 600 miles even if I have driver help.

I just don't want to sit in the car that long. I do 450 or less each day on my trips. I'd prefer about 350.

No she isn't, and she wasn't pregnant, that much I'm sure of. She's just started disappearing over the last few days. After that I saw her all day every day and she was as skinny as always

More storms about to hit. The sun came out for a couple of hours, and I heard a couple of mowers, but I went out and checked, and my grass is still too wet to mow. I'm not ruining my mower blades, I'll wait until tomorrow or Thursday and get it done.
Flood watch and strong wind gust warnings, so I just moved all the flowers pots out of the open and put the tarp back over the tomato plant pots and the herb garden box, to protect them, I don't want root rot

We are nearing the PA turnpike. I think we’ll plan on stopping near Hershey. That will let us get through Philly tomorrow without hitting major traffic.


@Judique, 400 miles is good for us. When we leave HH we like to get to Emporia VA. Then the next day we get to the CM Lewes Ferry and home! I mention HH because we booked a quick two night trip there in October to meet friends. We’ll be hitting TN, NC, SC to see friends on that trip!

Had a nice chat with a family member earlier today and now it's just sort of drizzly out. The cat and I are sitting on the porch and getting a bit of fresh air anyway.

I put the last pool-balancing chemicals in around lunch time, and we should be able to swim tomorrow or whenever the rain stops, whichever is later.

There's a Fairfield Inn at Stony Creek in Virginia that I've stayed at. I've also stopped in Emporia. Sometimes I won't leave HHI until after lunch - check out at 11 and go on along to Crazy Crab at Jarvis Creek for lunch. So not on the road until early afternoon. Then I'll get up early in the morning, grab some coffee and I'm home well before noon. Off course for me riding back up I 95 with lots of time means stopping here and there and sometimes meandering of the path.

Otherwise on my Orlando trips, it's stops in Florence, Santee, Walterboro or Hilton Head. Some trips it takes me parts of three days to get to Florida. I'm in no hurry.

No . don't have cable and just too 112degrees hot to travel to Oregon friend watching the game ... I got George Wallace correct... didn't watch entire show.. TV pours out heat and wife was taking a nap so no one to impress
