We booked with DVC points.

Automatically. Everyday when we came back to the room the trash was emptied and there were new towels and washcloths. That was for all three villas. We didn’t have to request them.

This happened to us this summer at Polynesian's longhouses (DVC). I was very surprised.

Has anyone ever stayed in room 424? Touring Plans shows it as dedicated 2BR with an Epcot fireworks view…is that true?

We have two studios booked with rented points for September. We are hoping to get rooms adjacent to each other. Since the points are rented would we be able to make a request via chat or does the owner have to call MS?

You would need to contact the renter and ask that the request be made with MS. Not sure at BC how realistic it is to have adjacent rooms with a studio, but you could note "traveling together" and request rooms close to one another.

As others have posted, the member needs to make the request to put a “traveling with” notation on both reservations. Unfortunately, there are no connecting studios at BCV, but hopefully you’ll be close to each other. Good luck!

Have not but it does face that direction. The issue is the trees there have gotten tall. Most likely will see firework bursts through the tree tops.

We were in 251 two bedroom, end room & I could turn 90 degrees and watch the pops out in that direction.

Happy to report studio special request was honored with a great location to boot. Asked for a non connecting door ‘dedicated’ room. By the way, the refresh is awesome! Picked a great crew to complete it. (I see you.. VGC…sorry on crew you all got..LOL).

Our current resort manager took part in Condo Association meeting December 9th. Awesome man, John Stafford. Look for him walking the grounds! Approval on our Dues Budget.

BCV:

Plan was just sit and listen. Turned out, used mic one first session. Plus mic time second budget session.

#1: who is in charge of a ‘Refresh’ & ‘Refurbish’… like making decision to use Donald rugs etc? Board along with resort management will decide on the yearly budget plan. Will use owners and resort recommendations. Then they take that idea & $$$ transfers to a team. That team makes the decisions & manages the work. Sounds like random luck on the team you will receive. I mentioned each resort seems to get a different quality of work. Thanked Mr Stafford & board for just recent ‘Refresh’ turned out..top notch! Plus how well maintained the grounds are.

#2 Budget. I see the use of a three piece pie & understand each resort will balance then for what is required. I mentioned, it seems some DVC dues are so much different in percent increase each year. (Mentioned to them in regards to BCV..imo, I see the results. I felt we got what we paid for this year). Mr. Stafford advised us on what resort had done, being done, and future planned projects for the entire resort.

The 2042 expiration and extension plan was audience asked. Got canned response of looking at it all as approach 2042. Wait & see response. (Therefore we should just sit back and relax..got a long path to 2042.)

Mr. Stafford has noticed that BCV reservations are mostly with owners. Very limited renting goes on here!

After meeting was able to have Mr Stafford’s ear. Again.,awesome guy. Took this next request very seriously. Knowing the board etc will likely be completely different in 2042, I’m not an extension fan. (I just want to plant this seed & see if it germinates in 2042). If BCV decides to keep structure and start a new association, please..instead of giving prior owners just some low 10% off the points…say if $500 a point by 2042..give owners a full 50% off for having owned at expiration. In this case $250 per point would be price to get in on it again.

If you’re considering any and all DVC resorts, you might want to start a new thread. At BCV, the topic of this thread, the 2BR are all the same size but some do have larger/better balconies. Those could be requested but would not be guaranteed.

The largest 2BR are at OKW, which has various pros and cons as do all the other resorts.

Today is the first time I tried to book at 8 AM 11 months out and could not get a studio. We were looking to do a trip that first week in December. Crazy. Studios completely gone at 8 AM and 20 seconds. Only the first day is not available, but of course I can’t book the next two nights because we are not 11 months out yet. Is this due to people walking?

Noticed that when searching for fun on December 1st. It was: be the quickest or get nothing. (Last year it took me a couple west coast 5am mornings to lock in a studio…knew had to start few days early for it which was for practice and for the strike out odds).
